    Shrimp lo mein, fried rice

Not hitting! Got the lunch special: shrimp lo mein, but added broccoli, shrimp egg roll and hot & sour soup. First, I received "4" tiny shrimps. The lo mein is overcooked and a little salty. Next, the broccoli is very slim in comparison to the amount that others give. The shrimp egg roll has NO SHRIMP- cabbage only. I haven't tried the soup and don't know if I should. Lastly, the broccoli is not fresh. It's either over-cooked, or it's frozen. Wasted my money fr fr!I DO NOT recommend. Ugh

    Szechuan chicken with fried rice

They have the best Szechuan Chicken in the city. If you like vegetables, this is the dish for you. Extremely flavorful with eight different veggies!!

Tastes really good...1st time buyer All the way from VA..was really hungry and Yelp got me covered. Decided to try this place because of the reviews... although there were 3 and one of them was posted about a year ago... the reviews where not wrong. Am enjoying the combination fried rice.

One of the cleaner and friendly spots I frequent. The food is always fresh and hot and at times they throw in a free tea for you or soda. I have been coming here since I was a kid and like I said never had any issues with my food or anything. I'd recommend this place for certain menu items.

Their prices are too high, COVID is over.. Fast food was meant to be sick and cheap. I might as well make it myself for the cost..

The sandwich is on a steam bun which had a sweetness to it. The chicken thigh is large and filling, seasoned well and goes well with the mayo, pickles and herbs. The crispy shrimp bowl came with fried shrimp lying on a bed of basmati rice, some pickled vegetables and herbs. Definitely have to mix all your ingredients together to get the maximum flavor. The Yuzu drinks were refreshing. The white peach flavor was delicious. Overrall the meal came up to $66 with a 20% tip. Seemed like a lot of people order online for pick up. My friend and I split the cost since we were planning on having a second lunch after this lol. The sandwich is a crab cake + softshell crab on a very soft bao bun. It was pretty good but it was alittle lukewarm since we were late for our pick up (so our bad). Very good sandwich with delectable flavors with the crab cake full of meat and the crunchiness of the softshell crab. Pretty solid sandwich! Im not sure if its worth the price point but I appreciated as is.

Kanpai is in a prime place along Rockville Pike, but depending on when you go you may find easy parking. (If you're not bothered about where to park, ignore what I just said.) Out front there's something that looks like a tuk-tuk or rickshaw. Tbh, don't know if it's theirs or the business next door. The restaurant itself is clean and elegant. Also, not as loud as some Korean BBQs (thinking of KPOT off of Randolph Rd), which is important if you don't like being overwhelmed by everyone else's noise. That is one big '+' in Kanpai's favor. The waiter was cool and very helpful. Because of him I now know what the thin meat slices are meant for (which is for the soup), before then I had no clue. The food itself is good. Like, why wouldn't it be? I actually prefer the shabu-shabu (soup), makes me wish I knew how to do that myself so I wouldn't have to go out as much. Yes, the grill meats were great, as was the kimchi. These places are not cheap, but it was enjoyable while I was there. If you're not in a rush you can go a few doors down afterward to an import store selling everything from K-chips to puzzle-kits. So I would say...take your time. But don't warm your seats for more than 90 minutes, as Korean BBQs tend to kick people out (nicely, nicely) if one overstays. P.S. I'm sure they have some great drinks there, but even if I wanted to I couldn't loiter. That's what Bethesda is for. (Or at least how it used to be.)

I liked the addition of panko breadcrumbs for crunch, but I wish the imitation crab meat had been shredded more finely for better texture. For my entree, I ordered the Spicy Basil Crispy Duck (added $1 for Thai spicy). They definitely delivered on the spicy level, but the duck itself was not crispy. It came with rice and bell peppers and basil. The sushi tasted fresh, which was good. Service could use some improvement. We had to ask for small bowls for soy sauce, and when we requested a dessert menu to celebrate the birthday, we were told the kitchen had already closed. It would have been nice if our server had given us a heads up before the kitchen closed. The ambiance is cozy. It almost feels like dining in someone's house. They had Halloween decorations up and murals of historic Frederick painted on the walls. They also have a private parking lot, which made it convenient. Overall, food was good, but a little more attentiveness from the staff would've made the experience even better.

I had been here once before, before moving to the area, and thought it was great then. This time? Extraordinary. I came in about an hour before closing, and anyone who eats out knows food can sometimes feel different that close to closing time. Not here. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and just as good as if I had walked in at peak dinner time. On top of that, I had an issue with my online order/payment. It looked like the charge was processing through my account, but they had no record of the order. Instead of making me feel like a problem, the person helping me was patient, kind, and genuinely tried to figure it out. "The Maryland Softie" crab sandwich is only at the Locust Point location, so I drove a little further to try it. It cost ~$41+ including tax, however I decided to go ahead and try it since I was already there. I waited ~15-20 minutes to receive a text that it was ready. When I went to the front to pick it up, they said they were boxing it up still. I waited a few more minutes and they said it was ready. I noticed that they handed everyone their order in a reusable to go bag automatically, however they asked me if I wanted a bag right before they handed me the box. I said yes and they put it in a reusable bag. The crab sandwich was tasty! The actual crab cake on it and the sauce was 1 of the best I've had! The sandwich included: a crispy soft shell crab, jumbo lump crab cake, old bay, melted cheddar and chesapeake remoulade sauce. The legs were a bit tough to chewy, due to the soft shell. I got a bit tired of chewying the legs and a bit on the bottom of the shell. This was my 1st time having a soft shell crab- definitely advise you to chew well. The bun was very soft, however there wasn't really a flavor to it. Which seemed to pair well since the crab cake was the star of the sandwich.

This friend moved out of Baltimore but said this was one of her favorite places! We ordered a few things to share because everything on the menu looked so good. I thought all of the food was delicious, but my friend loved it so much she said she'd dream about it. Azumi is also by the waterfront and has outdoor seating which is great for when the weather is nice - it was raining when we were there though. I haven't dined here before and might have heard of Azumi but I'm not too sure. She mentioned the portions sizes were small and her fish entree only came with miso dipping sauce and no other sides. Their server didn't inform them of this when originally ordering so she had to order additional sides after their entrees came. They also ordered wagyu fried rice and wagyu air fried rice (what's that?) She did say the fish was good but they all left hungry. These entrées, two cocktails plus two reg bevs came to over $200. The price wasn't a problem however they felt the value when it comes to quantity and price, left them looking for more. They choose Azumi for her husband's 60th birthday celebration and had to ask the server about how they would celebrate him since the check was about to arrive and nothing had happened. Their server asked if they were ordering something from the dessert menu and my friend declined. The server then came back with a small bowl of ice cream on top of a block of ice and three spoons . . . . She said they were all surprised and basically laughed at the "birthday" treat before them and how they were supposed to share the palm sized ice cream. She said multiple times they wouldn't go back and how disappointed her husband was with his birthday dinner experience while telling me the story. SMH I felt bad and asked her why she didn't ask me for a suggestion because yall know, we know who won't disappoint. She also didn't take any pics and I scolded her about that lol. I looked up best Yak in Baltimore and they mentioned Pimlico so off we went. 49 mins away & all I could remember was thinking, "this better be good". The neighborhood is not the best in the world but it's not the worst either. Next to the carry out were some street vendors selling shoes & stuff which lead to a lot of traffic out front, but everything was cool. We ordered the shrimp fried yak, beef fried yak, beef and broccoli & off of recommendations alone... they're made to order jumbo shrimp fried rice. For me, the yak was the best that I've had so far. We've gone to Jimmy's & Joy Luck (formerly Mike's) but everything here just tasted so much fresher. No hate, the other places were good too, this was just... better. The shrimp fried rice was the star of the show for me today. The shrimp were huge and they don't skimp, you get your money's worth. Inside of the establishment is small, your standard Chinese carry out but as the cashier, maybe even the owner handed us our meals, he wished us all a good night, which was a nice touch. Also, they don't just take cash like most of these establishments in Baltimore, they accept card, cash app and more, which was a nice touch. I took one star away bc the Wife said she enjoyed Jimmy's better. She's trippin but I respect her opinion, so I went with her rating.
