My review is based off a DoorDash delivery which is solely pert to American dishes such as fried chicken wings , shrimp fried rice and a shrimp eggroll. My order was prepared quickly, it was ready to navigate their menu online. The prices and quantity was more than fair. Fried wings were crispy, shrimp fried rice had only 4 shrimp in it, but besides that it had nice flavor. Shrimps egg roll was crispy but the filling lacked substance. Over all I would give this place a 3.8 From the other reviews and pictures I am not sure if I would order there Chinese entree dishes, I would rather stick to the America classic dishes. read more

We ordered this for delivery recently. Prices seem in line with similar spots. I ordered a large wonton soup because I wasn't feeling well and enjoyed it. We ordered two egg rolls; they were average. My bf ordered Hunan beef with fried rice and I ordered chicken lo mein with fried rice. I requested no onion, but was sad to see no other veggies at all. Taste was fine. Not great, not terrible. Good food and at great prices. They will give you alot! This is definitely a hole in the wall spot, but those are many times the places with the best food. I've ordered take-out from here a few times and haven't had any complaints. They can be busy so be prepared for a wait if ordering in person. There's no dining in. The crab wontons, spring rolls, and dumplings were at best mediocre. The sesame chicken was not good. However, the lo mein side was decent and the cold sesame noodles were not too bad either. We also ordered french fries (my husband was having a craving!) and they arrived sad, soggy, and unseasoned. But we air fried them and then seasoned them with salt and pepper and they were actually quite good. We threw out a decent amount of the food and won't be ordering from here again. I ordered on DoorDash. I did not mean to order from this China Wok location, as there was one within a mile of my hotel. I did not realize this was about ten miles away until after I placed the order. I started to look at the reviews and I was very nervous because there had been several negative reviews recently. However, my food was great. I got a beef lo mein combination platter. I added pork fried rice and chicken. I also chose a pork egg roll. It was a little dry at first but once I got to the juices it was great. It was jam packed to the brim. I'd definitely eat from this location again. I ordered my food off of door dash. The vegetable spring rolls were soggy, almost wet, and cold. The crab rangoons were straight cream cheese. I had one, and then opened the rest up and dug through them. There is zero distinguishable crab in them, and zero crab flavor. The "crispy orange flavor beef" was none of the above. It was also soggy, completely flavorless, and came in a congealed mess. Quite literally inedible. The fried rice also has zero flavor at all. The food not only taste old and stale but it literally SMELLS bad. The rice and noodles have a very distinctive dirty mop water smell to them. It may be the packaging or their supplies when handling the food but it's very off putting. Lo mein is consistently dry and ratios of meat to side are always wayyyy off. They have a lot of sweet & sour or orange chicken, but no General Tso's. So when I realized there was a Chinese takeout joint around the corner from my apt, I had to try it. While the fried rice part of the meal was fine, the broccoli tasted freezer burned and the sauce, while red, didn't really taste like anything. No sweetness. No spice. No nothing. Had a craving for Chinese food after going a long while without some and decided to try China Wok since it was close by! Went with the general tso and sesame chicken combos, which come with your choice of rice, broccoli, and an egg roll --perfect! I also got the boneless spare rib tips and the crab Rangoon. For starters, delivery was super quick and the order was packed very well. Upon opening everything though I was surprised to see that the eggs rolls were tiny! More so the size of spring rolls, maybe even smaller. They were gone in one bite! Unfortunately, the chicken combos were also a bit of a let down. The sauce tasted good, but the chicken itself were not the best cuts of meat. That gristle and gamey taste can be really unappetizing when you're just trying to dig in! China Wok does give the option of subbing with white meat though for an additional cost, which is a plus if you're willing to pay the $2.50 for it. The meat in the general tso was better than the sesame chicken, but wasn't as saucy as I expected, and the sauce itself wasn't spicy at all! Tasted exactly the same as the sesame, minus the sesame seeds. If I were to order from here again, I'd get it extra spicy and extra saucy with white meat next time to ensure it hits the spot! Aside from that, the rice, rib tips and crab Rangoon were all tasty and I would order these again. Overall, the food here is okay. I'm sure some items on the menu are better than others, but considering I ordered the "old reliables" and had a so-so experience, not sure how adventurous I'd be with my ordering the next time. It's not the best Chinese I've had, but can satisfy your craving in a pinch. The prices are fair (even without the full sized egg roll, womp womp) and delivery was quick. Just really good, classic Chinese food (which surprisingly in Baltimore is hard to find). Due to their super low prices, I was expecting super low quality, but I was pleasantly surprised that the food was actually great! First, the delivery took no time at all during the lunch rush which I was very happy about. Second, the lunch special portions were huge - pretty much the same as the dinner special just minus the egg roll. Third, the flavor was great, food was high quality, and it wasn't overly greasy. The sesame chicken had a great flavor and had lots of sauce. The fried rice was the classic brown style (not the bright yellow kind which I hate). The dumplings weren't the best I've ever had but pretty good for less than $5 (the spicy oil/sauce it came with was an interesting but good twist). The wonton soup was also standard with 4 wontons to a small order. The crackers were stale but that's pretty much typical for all Chinese places around here. China Wok is everything you need from a Chinese carry out. It's affordable, delicious, and generously portioned. Before this gem, I'd had a string of horrible Chinese food experiences. Baltimore does a lot of great cuisine right, but I hadn't found what I consider to be "good" Chinese food. Thankfully, a roommate shared China Wok after hearing my complaints. She raved about their Lo Mein; she was right - it was GOOD. I LOVE the egg fu; my partner loves their chicken dishes. I really like this place for my Chinese takeout fix. I've come here a few times since I moved to Baltimore and I have yet to be disappointed. I really like the bourbon chicken, and their general tso's isn't half bad. What I really love about this place is that their dinner specials are only $8.50 and come with pork fried rice with no upcharge, and an egg roll! Both their veggie and meat egg rolls are delicious and the pork they put in the fried rice is BBQ pork, another favorite of mine. For the value and the taste that I get here, I keep coming back. The portion sizes are pretty big, about enough for 1.5 meals for me. They only have 2 small tables inside, so be prepared to call ahead and get your food to go. It looks pretty run down, but the magic happens behind the counter in a kitchen that is surprisingly big. I've even ordered delivery from here through doordash. We ordered delivery through Yelp's app. We ordered Pork Wontons, Hot and Sour Soup, Pork Lo Mein and General Tso's Chicken. Delivery was quick and everything was hot. That's about all that was good. The wontons were undercooked and still chewy, not crisp. They provided a large container of duck sauce but it was pretty watered down and had barely any flavor. The Hot and Sour soup tasted more like a peppery meat broth than like the traditional Hot and Sour flavor, it wasn't sour at all. It didn't have any Wood Ear mushy, just Shiitake. The Pork Lo Mein came in a container the same size as the rice which was tiny, the smallest Chinese carton size available. It tasted okay but there wasn't much pork. The General Tso's wasn't spicy at all and not very flavorful. There wasn't a spicy red pepper in sight and it had four very small broccoli pieces, no onions or peppers. Overall for the price it was as poor value for the price. I'll find somewhere else to eat next time. read more

First time trying out this place. The Spring rolls were good. The chicken wings were average. The cheese steak egg rolls had a very bad taste and I couldn't eat them. The pork egg roll, which was ordered on accident wouldn't be ordered again. The boneless BBQ ribs were tough and could have used more sauce.
