Lunch special: shrimp lo mein and fried rice
    Sarah O.

This is the only place in Baltimore that I'll order chinese from. After trying SO many places and always being disappointed, I was excited to discover Peking House because this is my new go-to. Their lunch specials are such a great deal. Their portions are huge, food is fresh, and price is right. The lo mein is my favorite since it always has a lot of veggies and isn't greasy, and their fried rice is pretty classic. A lunch special can usually last me about 2 meals. Their wonton soup is my favorite too. They always pack a lot of dumplings in the container and their broth isn't too oily. The delivery is always fast and the food is piping hot when it arrives. My only complaint is that the crispy noodles they include are usually stale, and they pack their food in styrofoam, hence the 4/5 stars. But these are pretty small complaints when it comes to Baltimore Chinese food. I will continue ordering from this place every time I get a craving.

We stopped by here before going to the theatre. It is not fancy by any means, but he food was really excellent. We had pork fried rice, with a good amount of meat. Egg drop soup Garlic broccoli (I asked for a mild and it came with having only the faintest of heat with good crunch vegetables. Our kids got the sesame chicken, they said the sauce had a little more savouriness that really tasted good. Give it a try as their prices are not bad for a downtown place. And the people behind the counter was very nice and offered us to adjust the sauces for our tastes a bit.

Good typical "fast food" chinese. Exactly what you would expect from your typical Chinese restaurant. Great flavors, good sized portions, great value. Ordered the General Tso's chicken (on point) with fried rice, House Mei Fun (good amount of meats and veggies, not mostly noodles like many places), and Hot n Sour soup (great flavor, but not spicy enough for me). Overall great for traditional take out chinese food. Fast delivery and accurate. Would order again!

I really feel Baltimore City is missing a good Chinese take out. This one is probably the best I had so far. I ordered through the Yelp App. It took the full hour for delivery. Most places say it will take an hour but show up sooner, but not this place. Delivery is a $12 min and a $1 fee. Not too bad. The food was good but basic. I ordered the steamed dumplings and I'll admit I've had better. The sauce was very thin and so was the dumplings themselves. The chicken fried rice was good but again, basic.

Spicy orange chicken and wonton soup!!

The place isn't that nice looking but the food is really good!!!! Large Wonton soup for only $2.40!!! Oh man and it sure is delicious!!! Also got a spicy orange chicken lunch special for $5.00 with steamed rice made to perfection. Unlike Panda Express or china inn ... This place cooks your food to order which means it's fresh when you get it!! So you won't get soggy orange a chicken that's been sitting there all afternoon. I will come again!!

Hard to believe it could be that bad... Very unfortunate. Fried rice with chicken - super dry, regular seasoning. Missing some egg in the fried rice! Staff was nice, if that counts.

My fried rice was burnt and not spicy like i requested. Had to send it back. 2nd order was perfect. Crab rangoons were stale.

Pretty decent American Chinese food for a good price. Had the General Tso combination with rice and roll, plus large wonton soup for $12. The combination platter was so large I made into two meals, same as the soup. Overall was pretty tasty for the price and large portions.

I tried this location while visiting in Baltimore. it was in walking distance from the hotel I was staying at. upon arriving I was not sure if I wanted to go in , it did look a little unkept, but the food smelled great so I decided to try it. I'm glad I did. I got the sweet and sour chicken lunch (special total of $6 even) I got that with fried rice. brought it back to the hotel. it was enough for me to eat most of it in one sitting, and then finish up the rest later. sometimes Chinese food can leave my stomach a little distraught. this surprisingly did not. I may actually go back before leaving Baltimore.

2nd scrap of metal found in my food.

I ordered combo lo mein, pork soup dumplings, combo fried rice, and duck spring rolls. Everything was packed well and nice and hot upon arrival. Everything was very delicious. All of the items had good flavor and the portion sizes for the lo mein and rice were good. I'd like to see maybe four soup dumplings for the price, but definitely enjoyed them as well as the spring rolls. Overall, I very much enjoyed the food, as did my bf, and will make a point to go there in person very soon to try more menu items!

We arrived for Friday $35 endless dim sum brunch, and the Host did not know who we were even though I had spoken with him today before, and I remembered his voice. So not a good start. We were sat upstairs, and we sat there for probably 20 minutes easy before we were even offered a beverage. It was when they first opened, but I would expect you to have staff ready. The hits just kept coming... The ambience downstairs was beautiful, but the ambience where we were sat was just lifeless. It didn't have the same punch. After we ordered some drinks, we decided on what we wanted from the menu. Some things were hit or miss, once they arrived to the table. The soup dumplings were just OK, but I guess I have really high expectations for that coming from NYC. The chicken lo mein wasn't bad per se, the veggie dumplings were delicious, the pork buns were well sauced. Some things I didn't like included the Szechuan beef, it lacked depth, and it was just too hot for my friends to eat. They really loved the fried rice and the sesame red bean balls. The scallion pancake everyone raved about was mid at best. I loved the curry sauce it came with, but it just was a mess to eat. The braised pork belly rolls were lovely, as was the cucumber salad, and the spring rolls. The Mongolian beef and the walnut dumplings were OK but nothing to write about beyond that they were basically flavorless. The cocktails were so so, but nothing that screamed for me to order another. The one highlight I will say is that they did come back to ask as if we wanted anything else multiple times. So I'm glad that they followed up on whether we want more food because some places just leave you be once they drop off. Maybe I'd give them another chance, but the answer is probably no... who knows. It was just generic, and imagining paying the prices that they had for not a $35 dim sum brunch per person, seemed egregious to me for such utterly mediocre food. So I guess I'm glad I came out on a Friday morning.

The food overall was delicious. Each of the entrees was flavorful and well prepared. Two things I want to mention: I thought the shrimp dumpling (3 of them) should have been a larger portion for the price and that the soup was a bit salty. Other than that, no complaints. After placing my order online, I called the restaurant to request plates, plastic ware and chop sticks. The friendly person on the phone assured me "no problem," and everything was received as promised. I had ordered a lot more food than I should have, and ended up having some for dinner, lunch the following day and late afternoon snack a day later. The entrees and rice held up well under repeat microwaving. I've been unimpressed by Peter Chang (eating at the testaurant) at another location in the past. I thought it was overpriced for what was typical Chinese food. I will likely try them out again after this experience. The food was much better than I remember it and seemed reasonably priced for the portions.

On day one, we wanted a light lunch to save room for dinner. We ordered the prawn with snow peas and wood ear mushrooms, along with the veggie pan-fried dumplings. Everything was incredibly light, fresh, and delicious! We paired it with the hot ginger honey tea, which was wonderfully flavorful and soothing. The staff was also so kind and accommodated our request for a quiet meal by seating us in a peaceful, closed-off section. On day two, we were craving those exact same flavors, so we re-ordered the prawn dish, the veggie dumplings, and the hot ginger tea--but this time, we added the beef lo mein. It was absolutely amazing! Honestly, it was the best lo mein we have ever had; we've never tasted anything quite like it. The food here is spectacular, and the service is incredibly accommodating that we forgot to take photos. Peter Chang will definitely be our go-to spot whenever we are back in Baltimore!
