This place was out right nasty. I ordered a seaweed salad and a sushi roll- Dancing Dragon. The seaweed salad was spoiled. First bite, I said to myself that this is wierd. I stopped in here during being stranded for hurricane Irma. I wanted some good Chinese food and popped in here. My usual go to is General Tso's Tofu which was not on the menu. I simlpy asked the friendly man at the register if they made it, and sure enough he said yes. The General Tso's tofu came out in about 10 minutes or so, and having no where I needed to be I ate in the restaurant. It's tiny inside, as most of their business is take out or delivery. However it was adequate. When I sat down one of the employees brought over a plate, extra napkins which was nice of him to do as the meal was all packaged up (again, mostly takeout and delivery). The broccoli was fresh and tasted great, and the tofu was well cooked. The General Tso's sauce was too sweet for my taste and lacked some flavor, hence the ding of one star. I saw this place from the outside as I was dining accross the street and came backs to try it. To my disappointment, it was a local takeout place with a small seating area on high chairs. However, it did have an intoxicating aroma (in a good way). They also had a small sushi bar and a menu for ramen options. I ordered the beer ramen with spicy broth and it was actually pretty good. Came with pickle ginger, shredded dry seaweed, radish and loads of beef. Broth was on the salty side, but was really good for a takeout spot. The quality of food has deteriorated tremendously. Ordered shrimp tempura rolls and there was no shrimp. They put a very thin piece of shrimp heavily breaded in a hard crust with a ton of eel sauce on top of the roll to hide that there was no shrimp. I work at jfk airport nearby and my coworkers and I order from here all of the time. We almost always get the all day combination dinners which offer you two entree options and a free drink for 6.50. This place also serves sushi as well and ive never been dissapointed. The sushi was fresh. I cant vouch for anyone else but my experience here has been good. We come here so often the staff know our face. The only downside is that its in the hood and right next to a liquor store so you may catch the occasional homeless man asking for money. Best Chinese food around. My love for sushi and rolls all started here. I was always afraid to eat raw food and well i didn't see the purpose of rolls because they were so small. I still don't understand why whenever a large chicken and broccoli is ordered they give you a small rice, it happens at all Chinese food places. I really was not expecting their food to be so good, but thank God for Yelp and these reviews or I would've never known. From the outside of their storefront, you would think it's shabby ehhh Chinese food. But this place has an extensive menu of Chinese and Japanese food. Honestly, I think Long Island Chinese food is the best, but this has been some of the best I've had in Queens. Their sushi is really good and I'm surprised at how fresh it is.
