Largely cut vegetables made the meal rather hard to eat without a knife and fork. It was pretty good for a hole-in-the-wall chinese place though. There wasnt very much chicken in my entree but it was still satisfying. Id return if I am passing through but I wouldnt go out of my way to get it. I rate a solid 3 stars. The pricing was a bit expensive considering the amount of meat in the entrees and the dried/stale eggroll. They gave me some trouble about soy sauce but everything ended up working out. read more

The best Chinese food in the area! Peking House was recommended by a co-worker when I moved to Cincinnati six years ago. I'm pretty picky when it comes to food, but can honestly say that I've never had a bad meal there. I live on the east side of Cincinnati, the Peking House is about a 20 mile trip (one way) for me. I drive past many Chinese restaurants on my way (which I've tried) but have never found one that compares to the quality and quantity of the food they serve. I've tried many items from their large menu (they offer many vegetarian choices) and they are always willing to accommodate any special dietary requests if asked. Portions are more than generous, (I usually have leftovers for a couple of days), prices are very reasonable. The food tastes fresh, never greasy. My favorite item is the Singapore Mei Fun - (be warned) it's a little on the spicy side. As a rule, I generally call my order in, but at times decide, at the last minute (usually on the way home from work) that I'm craving Chinese and just drop in without calling. My order is always ready to go in 5-10 minutes. Don't be put off by the appearance of the place -they're located in a tiny strip mall (next to a check cashing store and a pizza place). What the Peking House lacks in ambience, their food certainly definitely makes up for it! Peking House is open six days a week, as others have mentioned they're closed on Monday's. read more

This is one of those places that I totally expected to be just okay. Take out Chinese food is oven greasy and the meat usually leaves you praying that it's actually chicken you are consuming. Not Peking House! It's good. I mean really good! The veggies are always cooked perfectly; still a little crispy and obviously fresh. The chicken is honest to God legit chicken. I absolutely love their Lo Mein and their crab Rangoon. Okay, they aren't REAL Crab Rangoon. They're those overstuffed cream cheese type, which are perfect when you want to sit in the comfort of your own home and eat like a pig because no one is watching. Don't judge. It doesn't look like much of a restaurant from a cosmetic aspect. I've been getting carryout from this quick, efficient, and most importantly delicious place for 10 years I'd say. They have never, ever, messed an order up, EVER. Prices have always been reasonable, the family owned and operated staff is very friendly. Id recommend general tso, kung pao, or sweet and sour chicken. Their lo mein, and crab rangoon is also delicious. Grab a combo meal, you won't be disappointed. read more

Delicious! We've been searching high and low for a good Chinese food place in the area since we moved here from Florida about three years ago, and this place seems to take the cake! We ordered about 60 dollars worth of food to feed our family of five tonight, and the food went over very well. The crab ragoons are delightful, and the mixed veggies with garlic sauce are to die for! My husband enjoyed his triple delight, and the kids enjoyed lo mein noodles with shrimp. Apparently they aren't open on Mondays anymore. Overall not a bad Chinese restaurant. Nothing to write home about. The menu is the same as every Chinese Takeout place I've ever been to. I usually just get the Wonton Soup, Teriyaki Chicken and Crab rangoon appetizers. But have gone there twice on Mondays to find a hand written note saying they are closed today Monday 3/27/17 and then 4/3/17. I would be fine with this if they would just say they are closed Mondays online. read more

I love this little place! It has such great food and technically it's not really "Chinese" on their menu it says they specialize in Szechuan Hunan and Cantonese Cuisine. Either way it's delish. You can dine in or carry out and most people carry out, it is a very small dining space with only 4 tables or so. But myself would much rather take it home to enjoy with a movie. The prices are great you can get a lot of food for just $25. I'm ordering 5 different options including 2 appetizers, a soup and two different combination platters that come with fried rice and egg rolls. My total is only going to be around $25. Your best bet is to call in and place your order so it's about ready by time you get there. But if you have never been go there and pick up a menu to take home with you, an order you up some grub. Wait time isn't to terrible but if you have other people in front and call ins it takes a bit longer. read more

I am a regular goer for here but I went yesterday. And my chicken was extremely undercooked. I didn't notice it till I was half done with my food but when j got home later that night I got extremely sick. I got food poisoning from them I will never being going here again.
