I went to my general dentist and she advised I needed to see an endodontist. She recommended one, but they couldn't see me for over a week. I did some Google searching and found this office. They were able to see me next day. The office is conveniently located and is not far from Lowe's on Valleydale if you need a reference point. It's on the second floor of the building it's in. The office was cold but they have nice, fluffy blankets you can use. I believe the owners are Christian based on the office decor and music that was playing, which was a plus for me. They had a form that asked questions to help make my visit better like how anxious I was, what channel I preferred on the tv, etc. The staff was inviting and professional. Dr. Collier was very nice and answered all my questions. When he did my procedure, he and his assistant were constantly checking to make sure I was okay. I'm feeling much better today. They called me earlier to check on me and see if I had any questions. I'd definitely recommend this office. Be sure to check your insurance benefits so you will know what you will have to pay.

The goal was to find one that was in our insurance network, and also one close enough to allow for mid-workday visits w/out causing too much interruption of the day. So, out of the blue I settled on Valleydale Dental, and apparently my hands are magic b/c I hit the jackpot. The facilities are very easy to find and are very clean and modernly-furnished - the patient area is basically a wide-open space, with "rooms" as you would imagine them (with a flat-panel TV in each, allowing you to try to mentally escape the sounds of soft drilling), but with the 4th wall for the door not exactly there. (Hard to describe, but a very neat setup with privacy not an issue at all actually.) The staff - hygienists, receptionists - are all incredibly personable and down-to-earth, never giving the impression that your visit is an inconvenience to their work schedule (which unfortunately happens quite a bit at doctors' offices these days it seems). The actual DMD, Dr. Gonzalez, is as friendly as a doctor/dentist can be. The guy's got a ridiculous bedside manner, and makes you feel like you're just hanging out with a buddy, who happens to have his hand in your mouth. lol He's absolutely forthcoming about everything he's going to do and is doing, and is not pushy, dry, or nonchalant when it comes to identifying what he thinks next steps should be. He's quick yet thorough in his work, and truly appears to care about doing a great job and with the least amount of discomfort to the patient. Fantastic dentist - could not be happier with the choice. So, if you're looking for a good dentist in town, and are either on this side of town mostly, or don't mind the trek from wherever you are, I *highly* recommend this place. I'd give them 6 stars if I could, that's how impressed I am of the overall experience. When I arrived, I received a card to complete noting my preference for nitrous, a blanket, a pillow, tv channel and a beverage. This helped ease my anxieties about the procedure almost immediately. Prior to the procedure, Stephanie and Daniel did a fantastic job of taking my X-rays and well as explaining and preparing me before Dr. Thomas began his work. I appreciated that Dr. Thomas made certain that I understood why the procedure was needed and what to expect during and after the procedure. The following day, a member of the office called to check on me, which rarely, if ever, happens at other offices. I could not have asked for better or more professional service. Highly recommend.

I paid what they asked me to pay when I was there. I called about this bill and the girl said yes, insurance usually doesn't cover that. I asked why didn't you tell me that insurance would probably not pay for it. I then asked, if they could discount this amount to what insurance would allow. She said NO. I told her my dentist had sent me for a root canal of one tooth. I didn't see why they had to do a 3D of my entire mouth. If you go be prepared for additional charges that are not covered.

NEVER PAY ANY CASH! When my grandson had his wisdom teeth removed I paid with insurance and $387.80…read morecopay on my debit card. Right before they took him back they told me he would need extra gauze and some gel that prevents dry socket. I paid $45 cash for the extras. Soon after I recieved a bill for $45. I called and explained I had paid that in cash. The person I talked to said she would check into it. About every other month we had the same conversation about pulling up the cash receipts from that day. Today it was the same thing all over again, except today she said it was a fee my insurance didn't pay. I spoke with my insurance company after the first bill came in and they had paid the agreed upon amount. I explained this to her and then she had the nerve to tell me "they didn't take in ANY cash that day". So now not only did I get over billed, but the woman (Kaitlyn?) that handled the call is calling me a liar because I absolutely handed them $45 cash. It's a shame because the doctor did an amazing job, my grandson never had any pain and was back to himself after a good nap. I decided to pay the $45 and stop having to deal with this month after month. 10 minutes after I paid, again, the office manager called and said she could adjust my account. Of course they can now that the payment was already made.

Someone else there needs to verify insurance and give estimates since this practice does balance billing (which should be illegal but that's an Alabama issue) My first appointment I was simply told anesthesia wasn't covered for my wisdom tooth removal. Had I known it wasn't covered because there was a two tooth minimum I would've had all of them removed at once. Had I known the true out of pocket costs I would've shopped around at other surgery practices. In less than a month I ended up back getting two additional wisdom teeth out and i was shocked when it cost less than the original one... and now im being balance billed for almost $200 more because they decided my initial payments weren't enough after their contracted rate was paid out by my dental insurance. So yeah.. even though I liked the doctor I wouldn't suggest this place. It's now costing me over $1000 for three wisdom teeth to be removed when had they all been removed at the same time I would've paid around $500. So with the crappy billing practices paired with awful wait times (unless you are the 8am- they were prompt that day) I'd look somewhere else.
