Highly recommend this company. Evan is a low key estimator, no sales pressure. Quality work from the installers. They even replaced the 2 x 2 wood framing around 2 of my windows. Good product and warranty. I asked Evan to "downgrade" the replacement windows on my order to save a little $. He complied but in hindsight, I should have taken him up on the better quality window. When I replaced my ~20 year old vinyl windows, it was colder inside in the winter months - not a big deal but I remember that he mentioned this and he was right! Great company. We are very pleased with our new windows and new look, Isael's recommendation to consider an upgrade for better sound proofing of the MBR window which is in the front of the house facing the street was great. We immediately noticed that there is much less street noise in that room. With regards to the installation crew, they were professional and did an excellent job. The inside work areas were clean and floors protected, and clean-up at the end of the day and job completion was great. Additionally the same for the outside work areas. Took about 3-4 weeks once windows were ordered for the installation date to arrive. Three great guys did the work in one day (small house). They were puntual on their appointments, clearly communicated information about the products and pricing, and performed excellent work with two sliding door windows. The workers seemed proud to work for their boss and this company, that is also what made me decide for them. During installation the frame had tiny gap the size of a quarter where the insulation came out the next day when it was hot, they came back fixed it and it's perfect now. I feel confident they are going to back up their products and work if something were to happen. Totally recommended. Tim and his team were absolutely the best. Tim came to our house twice to provide quotes--once in 2017, and once in 2018--when we were finally ready to purchase our windows. We went through three separate bids--one from Pelican, and from two other window providers. We picked Pelican because Tim provided the most reasonable prices, he was knowledgeable about the Milgard products, and never came across as super salesman-y or trying to sell us products we didn't need. My husband and I also visited his showroom in Vista, just before we made the order, to check out the different window and sliding glass door products (which I recommend--it helped to visually see what is available). We decided to complete part of our house (Phase 1) for the windows that had the worst wear and tear--the ones where you could actually feel heat and cold air coming in if you put your hands against the old windows. That installation took two days, and included ADT alarm system coming in to rewire our hard-wired security system. To make a long story short--the ADT technician installed the sensors incorrectly, and ended up damaging our brand new window frames. Tim had to come back and check what ADT had done, and wrote a letter indicating the damage done to all of our brand new window frames. We sent the letter to ADT, and ADT sent us a check for the price of our newly installed windows! Without Tim's help, we wouldn't have received the check from ADT. We then decided to replace the rest of our windows in our home, and during the Phase 2 installation, Tim sent one of his best technicians, Isael, to remove the alarm sensors, paint and sand down our window frames (those which ADT had damaged) to make them look like new. The Phase 2 installation went well--albeit two windows were not ordered with the correct measurements, one window was scratched, and one screen was broken/torn. Pelican set up another window install, and they came back (Isael as well) to replace the final two windows and replace the screen and scratched window. I didn't even realize one window was scratched; the fact that Pelican checked their product and work and honored the contract showed that they went above and beyond. Finally--they never requested payment until the customer is satisfied. I can't believe the difference the new windows have made--even with a couple of 89 degree days thus far, the house has kept cool. What a difference new windows make! Pelican went above and beyond time and again to make sure we were happy with our window replacement products. read more

It all starts with a friendly call to schedule a free in home consultation. Then Evan rolls up with a no pressure, informative measuring session. He answers any questions you have (what windows are right for you/what's the difference in all the different windows available). He tells you there are lots of great installers out there that will be within a few hundred bucks of each other. Evan follows up with an itemized price quote. Love the no pressure. Love the nothing to hide itemized price quote. Love the honesty knowing there are other great installers out there. Pelican wins my business. Then the office staff applies for my manufacturer rebate before the installation even happens! Then a great install team comes to my house and installs 22 windows and 1 slider over 2 days. They use drop cloths to minimize the mess even with rain on day 2. They are respectful. They are hard working. They ask before using the bathroom!? They clean up as best they can. Some reviews suggest a spotless cleanup which I think is overpromising. These people do a great job cleaning up but you'll still need to mop/break out your Dyson vacuum afterwards. Before they leave, the installation team says if you find anything wrong to let them know. I like how they don't expect you to inspect everything that second. There were a few small follow ups and I'm confident they'll take care of every last issue. Excellent folks, excellent job done here. read more
