My neighbor had Pelican replace their windows about 4 years ago. I had them come for a quote first and then had 3 more window companies give me quotes. Evan from Pelican spoke my language. He was very educative and informative in the way he presented his company and products. The quote received had a breakdown by window. That way I would have the option to select which windows to replace. Evan continued to be patient while I evaluated the 2 window manufacturers that they carried. We also set time to meet Evan on a Saturday to meet him at their showroom to help us finalize our decision which manufacture best suited our preferences. My husband and I recently surprised my in laws with a replacement slider for their 30 year old home. I had scheduled an appointment to get an estimate but upon phone confirmation decided to cancel, with 3 days notice. The woman on the phone asked me why and I said I wanted a different window. She asked me if I would share who I was going with and I said "I would rather not share that information". Then she hung up the phone. Pelican installed windows in our home back in 2004 - 15 years ago! I've noticed that we have six windows that now appear foggy and after some research, discovered this is caused by a broken seal. I sent an email to Pelican to see what our options were for either replacing or repairing these windows. I was truly just looking for recommendations and expected to pay for any repairs. I received a call back from Pelican within 5 minutes of my email. She explained the Milgard may be able to replace our damaged windows and immediately filed my claim over the phone. The very next day, Milguard emailed me with a date in which all of the damaged windows would be replaced at no cost to us. I was in shock! First, I'm incredibly happy that our windows are under warranty and will be replaced at no cost, but the customer service of both Pelican and Milguard has just blown me away. I remember being so happy with Pelican's customer service and beautiful windows 15 years ago, but the fact that they still had all of my information on file (location of each window etc.) and were so willing to help was priceless. So the wife and I decided to entertain getting all new windows. We had heard good things about Pelican Replacement Windows. We headed on over and were taken to the showroom too look at windows. We already knew what window brand and style we wanted so the time in the showroom was getting questions answered about Low E and how to cut down heat coming through our West facing windows. Service was friendly and all our questions were answered. We set an appointment to have measurements taken. Evan came out to measure and he was on time!!! He also was very nice and took the time to just chit chat with us which was a breath of fresh air. He rough measured so we could get an estimate. He answered a few more questions and said we would have the estimate in a day (this was a Friday so I was thinking by Monday). Low and behold at 6:30am Saturday we got an email with the estimate. We had a number in mind due to previous estimates and they came in a few hundred under. Evan will be coming out tomorrow to exact measure and we will have our windows in 4 weeks. I used Pelican Windows (owner Tim Skeer) to replace over 30 windows in an older office building I own in two phases over the last 3 years. I would give Pelican Windows 6 stars out of 5 if Yelp would let me because of the over and above that I experienced with Tim and his company. Here is a partial list of my positive experience: 1. We initially went through a window by window inspection and he gave his very helpful suggestions. 2. I received a prompt written quote and we agreed on a handshake (Wow!) 3. Milgard Windows had a significant upgrade cost because of the exterior color I chose, that Tim was not aware of. He was willing to eat the additional cost to honor his initial quote. ( I chose not to hold him to it) 4. Tim coordinated and fully accommodated my tenants schedules (ie working weekends evenings etc.) 5. I am completely satisfied with; the quality of Milgard Windows, installation by his workers, the professional finished look, their through clean up etc. All surpassed my expectations. 6. Tim completely backs his work and product and without hesitation he follows through on rectifying any concerns I had or have(which was not many) I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture. Thanks to Rico so for coming out so quickly for a service call. My door jammed on a Friday afternoon. I called the office panicked about 10 minutes before closing. I explained to the woman who answered the phone that I was getting work done on my house on Monday and if I couldn't accessed the back patio/ entrance I would probably need to cancel the work. She was very sympathetic and was able to get Rico to come out first thing the next morning. It was a simple fix and my door works perfectly! Also the doors and windows and the installation are amazing! Rico was able to figure out what happened to jam the door. Most likely someone had pulled too hard on the door when it had been locked which caused a bottom plate to shift. (Just wanted to clear that up that the jam was caused by someone in my house and not due to the product or installations). read more

Evan is knowledgable and helpful, Pelican is both a great and fortunate company for having him. We bought a 20-year-old home with original Milgard windows, some of which have broken thermal seals. Even though Pelican doesn't provide the service we sought (replacing the glass on existing Milgard vinyl windows to provide a new thermal seal) Evan went out of his way to provide amazing service. Not only did he happily refer us to a couple local options for what we need, he even took the time to fix two windows that we thought needed to be replaced! He got a bathroom window unstuck and it now works like new; He also fixed a loose balancer, explained how the windows work, and showed us exactly what to do in case it comes loose again. When asked what I owed, he said no charge for the service. When I tried to give him a cash tip for fixing two windows - he said he just wanted a bottle of water. I wish I had a house with older windows that needed new vinyl replacements, because it would be awesome to invite Evan into my home again and do business with him. read more

Pelican Windows was our choice and we were not disappointed. Evan Wright came and from the beginning he was very direct and approachable providing us with the estimate on the spot. He redid estimate 2 times and finally we decided to go with Milgard Tuscany double pane windows. The whole project - 13 windows and 1 sliding door were installed in one day (actually by 3 PM). Some minor problems after installation were handled very professionally, and we do see a big difference in our heating bill (it's too early for an A/C billing). This past summer we replaced all of our windows and patio doors with Milgard vinyl products. Our home had the original builder grade metal windows and patio doors and was way overdue for replacement. We interviewed multiple installers and tested multiple manufacturers but Pelican and Milgard were the standouts. Overall they did a great job. We had a great experience with Pelican windows and doors, first Evan came out to help us with our project and gave us quotes and he never missed a step when we totally rearranged the whole project on him, he just sent us new prices for what we had asked for. We turned a kitchen window into a french door, a sliding door into a french door and removed a window that Pelican framed in and drywalled and then stuccoed the out side to match the house. By far the rudest conversation I just had. I called to get an estimate and the lady was very rude. She could've just said please get the dimensions on your window and go look on our website for the Windows options and call back when you've made your decision, but instead she gave me tons of attitude it felt like eye rolls over the phone! She said "if you don't have the window dimensions and know what window type you want I can't help you, what kind of window do you want" and I said I have no idea because I'm a new homeowner and have never done anything like that she told me I had to go google window replacements myself and then go look up different brands it's like she was trying to be "helpful" but couldn't be bothered to be a nice human in the process. With all the businesses closed down because of covid 19 I wanted to give my business and time to a smaller business but now we'll probably end up calling like Home Depot or something.
