Because of that great experience, we decided to go back after a long time, this time on a Sunday. When we walked in, we immediately noticed a big difference . There were a lot of empty tables. We ordered shrimp cocktails (cócteles de camarón) and sat down. Unfortunately, this time the food was not good at all. The juice in the shrimp cocktail was extremely salty,so salty that I couldn't eat it. I went back to the counter and explained the issue. The girl helping us was very nice and explained that they cure the shrimp with salt since it's not cooked. She offered to remake it, which they did, and I appreciated the effort. However, even the remake just didn't taste good to me. I like my seafood to taste fresh, with a natural seafood flavor not overly salty or loaded with condiments. This experience made me wonder if something has changed at the restaurant, especially since it was so empty compared to our first visit. The staff was friendly and did try to make it right, which I appreciate, but overall this visit was disappointing. Since it's also out of our way and we only stopped because we happened to be in the area, I don't think we'll be coming back. It's unfortunate because our first experience was so much better. The ambiance was pleasant. They had a couple of TVs playing football, music in the background, and the place was clean but the food just didn't live up to our previous experience.

So i drop off my partner to join the waitlist then I go to get parking. We like to get the kickin mix in medium with the crawfish and shrimp. The kickin mix has everything in it and is jam packed with flavor. For me, it runs on the salty side. The prices have gone up over the years, as with any restaurant. They do offer the "year round" crawfish which is the crawfish that was frozen that costs less. Their service is OK and the ambiance is cozy casual.

We got the special Cajun which includes one cluster of snow crab, half pound shrimp, corn and potatoes. We also shared the special fried oysters and fries (upgraded to garlic). We got bibs and gloves but of course you will smell of garlic! Bathrooms are clean so you can clean up post meal.
