My brother and I drove down from San Francisco to San Fernando for a wedding. We came across this place and thought it was going to be super packed for a Friday. The service was great, the vibe was phenomenal, the music made me feel at home, and lastly the FOOD WAS DELICIOUS !! We ordered the aguachile and a torre de mariscos. Delicious food !

Service was fast only a table was seated when I walked it. I ordered aguachile Tostitos. I paid 14.30 cause they charge a whole dollar to use card which is BS. The Tostitos were the dries thing on earth, it was not what I expected at all.

My truck was getting worked on next door, and I was hungry. I went outside and to my surprise El Culichi was next door. It was somewhat hot, so mariscos was the perfect option. I ordered the aquachilies, and they were awesome. The waitress even filled me in on adding mayo to the tostadas, and it didn't disappoint. Will be back. The restaurant was empty, but they were playing music, and the decor felt like a typical Mexican mariscos spot.

    Maleficio

Marisco fresco y de buen sazón auténtico Sinaloense. Las órdenes siempre salen a buen tiempo. Excelente servicio al cliente. El maleficio y los tacos gobernador son muy buenos. 100% recomendados.

Served us food with no dressing then took for ever to bring the ranch and forgot the dressing the waitress is good as she can be she definitely needs more help they are overworking her in my opinion she is great but because she had no help service took for ever I had to take it to go and still wait for ever.

Great place to get your mariscos fix. Tostadas de ceviche are 4.99 and is a pretty generous portion. They give you more tostadas and lemon too to make more from your ceviche. The chili sauce in the bottle is delicious and very spicy. I like to add it to everything. They have aguachiles for 14.99 which was an okay portion size. They were okay, they don't come green with the habanero sauce like normal. They use their own sauce which I'm assuming is the one in the bottle because it looks and taste similar. They have great battered fish and shrimp tacos, that come with repollo, pico de gallo and that white sauce you normally see in fish tacos. I like them better than papa Juan's. The only con about this place is that A. They don't serve beer or alcohol and it's a crime to not have a cold one or a michelada with your mariscos. And B. They don't put avocado on the tostadas or aguachiles, or on anything. Other than that I like it here and it'll do.

Everything came out fresh and packed with flavor. The tacos were loaded with perfectly seasoned meat, topped with fresh onions and cilantro, and paired with some seriously good salsas. The grilled veggies and sides were just as good, and even the beans were on point. You can tell they care about quality in every bite. We also grabbed some drinks and everything complemented the meal perfectly. Portions were solid, prices felt fair, and the overall vibe was just great. Honestly one of the best Mexican food experiences I've had in a while. Definitely coming back and bringing more people with me next time.

The inside is small, enough for a few small parties-with a cute little patio outside. I wanted something more unique than everyone else's tacos. They serve theirs with pickled onions, which adds a lovely freshness to it. I had an asada vampiro...there is a lovely, almost Smokey flavor to the meat. And no gristle! I also had the chicken chulada...it was unique! The chicken was salsa good, not fatty, which is imperative for me! I also got rice and beans on the side, my husband said the beans were just like his grandmas! I'll be back for sure!

Parking was easy to find, which was a plus. The ambiance was casual, relaxed, and family-friendly. They have multiple TVs throughout the restaurant, and during my visit, they were showing a soccer game. I always like it when a restaurant broadcasts sporting events, even if it means the place sometimes gets very packed. I was really looking forward to trying their shrimp ceviche, but to my disappointment, they had run out by the time I arrived. I decided to go with my backup option instead: the camarones a la diabla. Camarones a la diabla is a dish consisting of shrimp cooked in a spicy red chile sauce. This restaurant also serves it with rice, toast, and a side of vegetables. As the name suggests, the shrimp are supposed to be spicy. As a spice enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for the best spicy dishes. The shrimp were cooked well, but they had a sweet taste. It almost seemed as if they had used ketchup in the sauce to tone down the heat. I'm honestly not a fan of mixing sweet with spicy, at least when it comes to protein. The vegetables that came with the dish were soggy and flavorless. The rice was okay but could have been better. The toast was pretty good, it was buttery, garlicky, and crispy. Overall, this dish wasn't bad, but it also wasn't the best. The service during my visit was good. My server was attentive and helpful. He frequently stopped by to check if everything was okay. Overall, this experience didn't turn out exactly as I had expected, but it wasn't a bad experience by any means. I might return one day to try their shrimp ceviche.
