    Cobb salad with blackened shrimp

Pelicans nest is a seabrook must! You can't beat the view here, there's not a bad seat in the house. My family loves stopping here for a dinner or lunch every year. The food is always pretty good but the atmosphere and kind service is really the star!

The salmon Cesar salad (say that 3 times fast lol) was absolutely delicious! The salmon was fresh and the salad was light but full of flavor! This place also has really good drinks.

You have to be a club member or guest to enjoy the Pelican's Nest. While resort expensive, the dry rubbed wings and fish tacos are hard to beat. Hamburgers are grilled frozen patties, would be worth the price if they were "handmade" patties. I imagine if you have had a golf course burger, you have eaten this one. Tots are great too! Friendly and polite service. Food three stars, the view is a star unto itself.

Beware of JON the bartender. Triple the alcohol for the girls drinks?
    Matt A.

How do you charge over $110 for drinks and ruin an outing with your girlfriend and her family? Ask JON the bartender to take your order. Let me elaborate. We made a trip to the outside bar for a few drinks. JON, a white male bartender with dark hair and a black hat around 6 feet tall happily took our order and my credit card. We ordered a floater for two drinks, and an extra shot for two more. Everything was going great and we were enjoying our 4th of July. When the bill came back, Jon had decided that we had 7 shots for 4 drinks. When I confronted Jon, the excuses began. Jon said he poured some more vodka in a few of the drinks, but couldn't clarify who ordered them. Jon then said we ordered vodka on the side, but again wasn't able to describe who asked for them (see a pattern?) He was able to clarify that my credit card was already ran and there was nothing he could do (included in the bill is his 20% tip, obviously). $3 a shot isn't much. But the greed shown by Jon and the ability to lie to my face is the reason I'm writing this review. Please, if this bartender happens to take your order, ask for a copy of the bill before you pay. We will not be back.

Skip the frozen drinks and Dan the miserable bartender. One sip and in the trash. Otherwise very nice place with an unbeatable view.

Service was good overall, though they didn't check on us very often. I had the Lunch on the Porch so I could sample a little bit of everything: she-crab soup, crab cake slider, and beet salad. Everything was delicious. The she-crab soup was my favorite -- rich, flavorful, and with some lump crab in the soup. The crab cake slider had very little filler, just how I like it, and the toasted bun added a nice texture. The sides of the fruits were fresh. Their Southern fried chicken sandwich was solid without feeling overly heavy. Overall, it was such a pleasant lunch experience.

The room is gorgeous, I love how it's divided up, reminded me of Spice Market RIP in NYC. Soaring ceilings, linen napkins, and a nice view of the ocean. Service was fantastic, always topping off the water. They give you a complimentary warm biscuit and big cracker with some pimiento cheese and herb butter. That was so nice and reminded me of old world hospitality. The food was very nice. Cup of she crab soup was fantastic. Generous portion of crab with a tiny kick. Incredible grilled cheese with a home made tomato bisque. And a massive blt that had blue crab in it and a fried green tomato. Very tasty. The bread could have been toasted a little longer but it didn't fall apart. Also came with a side salad which I picked Cesar and it did not dissapoint. One let down was being charged $7 for a glass of iced tea, which sat empty for the last 20 min of the meal and was not refilled. Aside from that it was a really nice lunch in a gorgeous setting.
