Service was amazing. Our server was very attentive. Food was just ok. I had grilled/garlic shrimp, grits & collards. My appetite of fried green tomatoes was the best part of the meal.

Beautiful location on the waterway! Service was great. The House Crabpot was tasty, the crab legs were above average, shrimp, mussels and sausages were delicious. Crab Pot was enough for two.

We went on Saturday and there was no wait we sat upstairs outside and it was a nice view overlooking the Main Street, our waitress Erin was very attentive to us and our food came out fast hot and tasted fresh. The steak was cooked to order and tasted great the crab cake was delicious. The coleslaw was a little too seasoned for me and the greens were under seasoned but was ok, overall it was good and fulfilling.

Very quaint little place I got a corner table with a lovely view of the coastal waterway it's always nice to be by the water if the weather is permitting the deck outside looked fantastic to sit upon. Very friendly staff I was torn between the crab cakes the red fish or the special which was a low country gumbo ask the advice of my waitress and it was a chilly day she recommended the special and oh my was it tasty. Low country gumbo the gravy sauce was nice the shrimp work excellent tender and perfectly cooked and the andoui was perfectly spiced. Nice price point at $27 the nice size portion too not too much not too little I was able to finish it all but I was definitely pleasantly for when done. I highly recommend stopping in here I had a late lunch about 2:00 and they could see still folks left over from lunch and others just enjoying and we really afternoon at the bar.

Food was good, service excellent, view and atmosphere was welcoming. A bit pricey for what we had but Charleston is expensive. It's quite casual and laid back, I will try them again soon. I had some raw oysters which were great and crab cakes. Chicken Alfred was good. Plenty of food.

While visiting Charleston we took my mom here for her birthday dinner. She LOVES seafood. We had a party of seven and luckily were able to get a reservation online. When we arrive, we were seated quickly and I noticed how beautiful the restaurant and the view was. Our waitress was so sweet and patient as we had three young children with us. She answered any questions we had about the menu and put in our appetizer orders giving us more time to look over the menu. I didn't get a photo but the bacon wrapped shrimp easily my favorite thing on the menu. The stuffed mushrooms were pretty good. My mom loved her seafood platter, and I really enjoyed my steak. It was so tender. Definitely looking forward to eating the next time I'm in Charleston .

I've eaten at the Charleston Crab House before but this is the first time at this location. The food was great. We always get the hush puppies which I highly recommend. They are so flavorful. This time I got the Flounder Fillet with waffle fries and slaw and it was SO good. Great flavor....great service and beautiful scenery. I will most definitely be back on a future trip!

Yum!! Delicious seafood in a casual setting. The shrimp are a must try. I couldn't enough of the garlic butter seasoning. The grits were tasty and I appreciated the greens not having bacon in them. This is one spot where they don't put bacon and sausage in everything! Pure, good seafood instead just as I would expect from a coastal seafood restaurant. Clarification- this is supposed to be about the Market Street location but I'm sure this one is similar.

While staying in Hilton Head, I drove two hours to Charleston to visit my cousin. She made reservations for lunch at the Crab House. They have a dock out back on the water with a fish cleaning station. The Crab House will cook what you catch as long as you clean your fish. My cousin and her husband ordered an appetizer of the Coconut Shrimp. Then they split an order of the Shrimp Linguini from the Specials Menu. I ordered the Shrimp-Po Boy that came with Waffle Fries. My sandwich was excellent. The shrimp were big and plentiful. At least three shrimp fell out of the sandwich and there was still enough for the sandwich to have a shrimp in every bite. They enjoyed their linguini just as much as I enjoyed my sandwich. There were plenty of parking spots available. You have a choice of dining inside or outside with good views of the water and nearby draw bridge. Service was prompt, efficient and accurate.

Came here with 7 of my buddies and now I'm at Lowe's and the two ultimate hog *^?£^ers are doing squats. My Boy is back and we are celebrating we even threw a toast and drink for the boy himself I even went big and got the red fish sandwich. Big piece of meat/fish I was cool with it. They probably hit it with the seasoning and the grill and they threw it on that grill with the mula just throwing it back and forth and hooking it up with the strongishhhhhbbbhhh. Fan was user friendly I turned it off with my friends help. I took 2 tooth picks they seem cool with it.

The deviled eggs were good and the scallops were as well. Nothing exceptional, but solid choices. For entrees we had a wide variety in our party. I had the fried catfish with red rice and cabbage. The dish was well portioned and fried but the red rice was cold and hard. The cabbage was good. A For dessert had I have pecan pie and it was just ok. My friend said the tomato pie was really good but it's all cheese and tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes were crispy but needed seasoning. They were incredibly bland. For the main dish she ordered the smash burger and I ordered the fish and grits. She took one bite of the smash burger and sent it back saying it tasted like a frozen burger you'd get at Walmart. The fish and grits were ok. They too were bland and needed salt. A LOT of salt or any other seasoning. The okra, Lima beans and corn that come in this dish also tasted like it came out of a frozen bag. There is no seasoning in this dish whatsoever. Unfortunately this place was a miss and we won't be returning. Also the bathrooms look like a porta potty. You know the cheap plastic that porta potties are made out of? Yeah that's what the stalls are made out of. It looks so cheap and a big contrast from the rest of the restaurant. The staff was nice but they also look like they hate working here.

This time around I was dining with friends, which meant we got to order a whole bunch of dishes - a foodie's dream. We started with the Hunter Cattle Beef Tartare, topped with shoestring potatoes, smoked cheddar, and egg yolk jam. It was rich, flavorful, and while the presentation looked a bit like dog food, it was otherwise the perfect way to kick off the meal. For the table, we also shared the Roasted Carrots, served with chamomile honey, labneh, puffed rice, candied peanuts, and an olive crumble. I know, carrots aren't always a "must-order," but trust me - they were fantastic. We also couldn't pass up the Hearth-Baked Skillet Cornbread with Broadbent bacon crumble mixed throughout. Southern comfort food!!! For my entree, I ordered the Blueberry & Corn Salad, which was anything but an ordinary salad. Between the BBQ pecans, ricotta salata, bacon fat honey mustard, and fresh seasonal ingredients, every bite was packed with flavor. One friend ordered the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo with compressed cantaloupe, marigold, and leche de tigre. It was bright, refreshing, and beautifully plated. Our other friend opted for the South Carolina Golden Tilefish, served with Kindlewood Farms summer squash and serrano, and it, too, was a hit. For drinks, one friend enjoyed a glass of wine while I ordered the Dragoon Punch. I'll admit, I was a little disappointed to learn my beloved Primrose Path was no longer on the menu. I even asked if they could make one, but unfortunately they were missing one of the ingredients. No worries, the Dragoon Punch was delicious and a worthy replacement. Our server, Tal H., was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, informative, and guided us through the ever-changing menu with ease. Even though the restaurant was busy, we never felt rushed. The scallops and pork chop were some of the best we've had. The only slightly disappointing dish was the corn bread which was on the more dry side, however the collards more than made up for it. The only downside to this restaurant were the flies, I felt like I was battling both large and fruit flies my entire meal. There were so many.
