SnoBalls in over 100 flavors and countless combinations, well maybe not countless because it is possible to figure this out if you agree that "E+XX" is the exponential notation, which means you multiply the number that precedes the E by 10 raised to the XX power, or equivalently, shift the decimal point XX places to the right which means there are 1.26765 x 1030 different flavors that can be made using the 100 flavors available if the number of flavors is an accurate account of what flavors are available here. Regardless of the exact number of possible flavors I doubt that you'll get through all the possibilities since making decisions is often hard, and making good decisions quickly is even harder, so I decided to keep it simple and ordered a large "tiger's blood" although the sour cherry and sour grape combinations were speaking to me which I hope to try in the near future, I based my decision today on the status quo bias and because it was extremely warm and humid out, or maybe it's my tendency to stick with what I know, instead of choosing something new and different. I often see the alternative as a risk or just not worth the trouble, even if it might be better, although after my first bite I wish I had ordered something different, but these are so refreshing I was somewhat happy with my decision. No matter what you're craving I doubt very many people go with their original choice after standing in line for more than a few minutes. Everyone's a kid when it comes to SnoBalls even the most sophisticated palette struggles when given more than a few choices so don't hold up the line and pick one we all are feeling the same anxiety. The staff here is very friendly, accommodating and understanding of the process - the prices are fair or at least manageable if you're a wet ice junkie. This place was so fun. Chase served us and he was super funny and set an awesome vibe. (It was my first time here and he let me try a sample of the shaved ice and called it Florida snow ) Me and my girlfriend ended up getting the root beer shaved ice with ice cream and it was YUMMYYY. There was a giant connect four game in the waiting area so we played a game (I won). Before we left another employee named Dakota said hello to us when she was getting off the bus. She was awesomesauce. If you like Jeremiah's, you would definitely like this place. And extra emphasis on the staff being super cool here. read more

I have never been a big fan of snowcones because I always felt like they never had enough flavor compared to other frozen treats like Italian ice. I decided to give Pelican's a try after seeing the great reviews on Yelp. They are some of the best snowcones I have ever had. I liked that they had locally themes specials like the Palmetto HS Tiger which uses flavors that are the school colors. I had a sour tsunami mixed with a other flavor I cannot remember. The sour tsunami flavor was definitely sour and packed a punch! I thought the unicorn condition was adorable with the whipped cream and sparkles. I look forward to going back and trying more flavors. They had over a hundred listed and said they had a ton more that were not on the menu. My only warning is to bring bug spray if you plan to enjoy your ice there. I got eaten alive! read more

My daughter & I have been here two times already because we have become addicted! It is our favorite place & will drive 30 minutes because it's SO good! The second time we went we were there 30 minutes before opening but the man behind the counter let us order. It tastes just like the shaved ice in Hawaii! I love the Unicorn & my daughter loves the Frogger! Cute little hidden gem with friendly staff! Highly recommend this place as it is so worth the drive! This was our second visit to Pelican's but this location, owner and daughter went out of their way to be helpful and friendly with our questions. They suggested the cream topping and the sour apple and Carmel and it was outstanding. Also let us sample the ice cream with our fruit ice selections for future visits. They couldn't be nicer or better. So refreshing and not filling. Flavors great and not too sweet. Most selection of flavors we have seen and we loved the Hawaiian shaved ice in Honolulu. Better than Hawaii! Must visit! We will return often. read more
