Work began on January 2nd, 2025 and has yet to be completed. From the start, there were multiple delays, miscommunications, and out right liberties taken with our time from Desert Prestige. While certain delays are expected, there were weeks to a full month where no communication was given for us to know what was going on. During these times, we would need to take the initiative in contacting them for a schedule as they were not responding or proactively contacting us. Workers were also arriving at our home throughout the day, often without notice, including in the evening. Despite the owner, Eric, telling us when the workers would be on site, they wouldn't show up, sometimes until hours later, sometimes not at all. Towards the end of February, we were notified that we had to pay the rest of the project in full even though the project wasn't complete. We had to correct them on the contract on the things they purchased versus the things we purchased outside of them. One item, at least, still hasn't been excluded. There are also still multiple pieces of leftover trash and debris that has not been removed, even though clean up is in the contract. No one from Desert Prestige kept track of work that still needed to be done. They relied on us for this or simply didn't do it. Every time we were met with excuses and passing the blame as explanations for this behavior. After a month of no communication from Desert Prestige, we contacted them, and were told they would arrive on site between 11-12 the next day. They did not show up on time, and arrived at 1pm, only after being contacted again and told they didn't keep the schedule. Eric told us that because our "availability" was between 10-4, they were still on schedule, regardless of us telling them if they didn't show when we were told they would, they would not be permitted into our home. Desert Prestige's unreliability and irregularity caused us to have to work from home for multiple months and made us uncomfortable in our own home not knowing when or if they would show up to do the work they stated they would when they stated they would do it.

Anthony Thomas would move heaven and earth despite the set backs of supply chain shortages and the issues with construction workers. Trinity Home made our house a showcase with custom cabinets installed by one of the best in the business. Anthony's gift for designing was spot on. If something was not to our liking, he made sure we were satisfied. Our home is beautiful with a total redo of our bathrooms and a professional grade kitchen with an 11 ft quartz countertop. I purchased the prefab quartz countertop pieces from a different supplier but I wasn't too thrilled about the communication (or lack thereof) with their preferred countertop installer. The same could not be said about Sebastian. From the initial planning to the fabrication to the actual installation, Sebastian was extremely communicative and responsive. He even had alternative options when my supplier had a slight mix-up during the pick-up process which is important if you are ever under a time constraint. Although I bought the prefab quartz pieces from another store, I ended up purchasing a marble slab from Sebastian directly since he was able to secure a beautiful slab at an unbeatable price. I live in Los Angeles and since I could not always be in Phoenix in person, I need contractors and tradesmen who I could trust to execute projects in my absence. Sebastian facetimed me and sent photos and videos during both planning and installation stages. He told me if there was anything I wasn't happy with he would happily fix it but nothing needed to be fixed. I assessed his work in person the week after he completed installation and I was extremely satisfied with the installation and his attention to detail. He then stopped responding to texts or email messages and has disappeared. Jason (probably after the other experience where his client was able to get their money back via credit card) asked for his payment via Zelle. Against my better judgment, my wife convinced me that we would be okay paying him this way. (Of course, once a payment is made via Zelle, it's non-refundable or returnable.) We paid him a total of $3800 of a $5600 job (which isn't completed) and we found out that ZERO of that money went to the workers actually doing the work. They have refused to come and finish the work until they get paid (and we have already paid Jason - who has NOT paid any of this money to the folks actually doing the work.) Now, Jason is nowhere to be found; our project is still not completed; and his (Jason's) workers have still not received any money for their work. We will be seeking other remedies, via multiple methods and channels, but I want this to serve as a warning to others - please don't trust anything Jason says. This will also serve as a warning to Jason - you simply don't screw people out of their money and expect to escape without consequences.... Our disappointment has elevated to, and remained in, a state of anger now... More to come.....
