Pellequr is magical. This place is absolutely beautiful and the services are amazing. I've had numerous body scrubs here and every time has been amazing. You leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. The most amazing spa experience I've ever had and possibly the best kept (new) secret on the west side !!! I am very picky about spas or any other facility for personal care. I also do a lot of research before actually going somewhere because I really like to know what I'm getting myself into. Pellequr did not disappoint!! I made an appointment to go in with my sister one day before. They had some cancellations so they were able to fit us in at the same time. This worked out perfectly! We were running late and called the front desk to let them know, and they told us not to worry. When we arrived we were greeted with tea and snacks while we waited for our own private rooms. Let me just say, THIS PLACE IS CLEAN!!! SO SO SO clean. Being a medical professional myself, this is something I always look for but don't necessarily notice in most establishments. Not only was the facility clean, the staff members were all very well polished and professional. Not to mention, the locker room had everything available to make the getting ready process after the treatment a breeze! Ok, where do I start. I never post reviews, but this experience really upset me. I wanna share my negative experience with this brand. I recently ordered a gift for my friend from this company. I've seen a lot of bloggers advertising for them and decided to support their business and ordered from their website for the first time. How surprised I was to receive an empty package! When I reached out to them to find out what happened, I didn't get any apologies or sympathy, instead I got rude emails. Now that I've had more time to think about it more, maybe this happens so often that their customer service are prepared to go in the offensive! After politely requesting a replacement or refund they just ignored me! I'm speechless. Now I wished I would have choose to spend my money somewhere else instead of wasting it with these guys. I went for my birthday back in January and absolutely fell in love! Every detail is attended to from the moment you walk in. The staff members are very kind and welcoming, the robes are comfy, the tea is yummy... it's a moment for sure. I enjoyed the most incredible shower, massage & scrub. Loved my experience at Pellequr ...my friend and I were in town for an event at the Beverly Wilshire and thought it would be fun to get scrubs beforehand. It was SO gorgeous inside! Had no idea it was such a beautiful and well thought out space from outside. Super glam sitting area (where hot tea awaited), followed by a luxurious multi head shower and scrub/massage!!! Nothing special. Expensive. The space is very small- I was there for over 2 hours and nobody else walked in which made the ambiance a bit sad. I've had better facials at Raya and it's half the price. I wanted to do something really nice for one of my good friend's birthday since she always good to me. Saw a blog on social media about Pellequr so I thought this would be a perfect place since we haven't experienced a Korean scrub that offered CBD. We were so excited for our appointment and counting down the days. Well, we went a few days ago. The beautiful woman who checked us in was very nice to us. She did have to ask us to use our inner voices after our scrub, but she asked us in a very nice way. Ambiance of the place is beautiful - high end of course since it's in Beverly Hills. And yes, each client does get a private room. Noh; the woman that scrubbed me was EXCELLENT! Very, very kind woman I've ever received a Korean scrub from...and I've have many. Sadly, I do have to agree with another client that posted a review name Martie S. I couldn't/didn't smell the CBD. My friend mentioned the same thing so we're not sure if the CBD product was applied on us. My reason for only giving 3 stars.....the woman who checked us out was not as friendly as the other woman who checked us in. I asked her if it was okay if I left my truck in the garage because we wanted to walk around Rodeo Drive. Her reaction was not so positive. She said they had other clients coming in so she needed to make sure she had my number so she can call me if it needed to be moved. When I went back to pick up my truck, it seemed as if she was irritated with me and took her time with a client that was checking out; holding conversations like I was not there. After about 7-10 mins, she was able to go outside and use the remote to open the garage. The garage looked the same way it was when I first parked my truck. All the parking spots were empty. Not sure if she wasn't having a good day, but I felt I got the short end of the stick. Maybe because I was dressed? Maybe because my friend and I were loud in the dressing room? Idk, but I definitely felt uncomfortable; like I didn't belong there because I was one of the least demographics that could even afford a CBD scrub in Beverly Hills. Pretty Woman moment. I went here for my birthday, expecting a grand Beverly Hills spa experience based on the reviews I've read here on Yelp and on social media. Sadly, this place is nothing but hype. I'm a spa aficionado, and I've been to many Korean spas and high-end spa resorts all over LA. I could have just gone to my regular spots and purchased the more expensive packages on their menu, and my experience there would've have been better. First off, the area is very small. They do not have a jacuzzi or spa area to help me relax and soften my skin, so I was pretty much scrubbed *raw* during my session. The private bath areas are beautiful without a doubt, and the CBD products were very nice to the touch. But I doubt the ajumma in charge of my session is a certified massage therapist, so she just slapped the product on me without ceremony and brusquely lathered shampoo into my hair. Furthermore, since the locker room and lounge area were too small, I was made to hurry and finish dressing up to make way for a private client (a celebrity, maybe?) who wanted the area for herself. I was told that I could go back once she's done, but there was nowhere else for me to go, so I took the hint and left the premises after paying. I felt pretty much put out after that. Needless to say, I will never go back. I'll just spend my hard-earned money where it's appreciated. I really expected more from this establishment, but I was badly disappointed. read more
