We went for a tasting and we were so glad we went because their wine is DELICIOUS! We bought a bottle of their white to give to a friend who treated us to her timeshare. We will definitely come back and purchase other wonderful wines from their winery.

Tucked away off the Avila Beach Boardwalk you'll find the cutest tasting room. Inspired by biking (and no relation to the peloton people now have in their homes), it's a very relaxing atmosphere and everyone I have met there before is super friendly (staff and guests alike). A tasting flight is $20 for 5 wines - they have three options: white, red or mix. If you buy 2 bottles, you're tasting is included with your purchase. I loved the rosé and the Boneshaker Albariño - both were very refreshing and crisp. The Pinot was also delicious! I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. They also have a ton of little gift type items for purchase.

We had a wonderful wine tasting experience at Peloton Cellars. The wine was excellent, service exceptional, and the views were beautiful. My husband and I sat on the patio. There is a restaurant next door that delivered a beautiful baked Brie directly to our table. What a wonderful experience in Avila Beach!

Set amongst a lovely countryside, inside a beautiful rustic barn set-up for the lavish event, was Peloton Cellars 10th Winemaker's Dinner, hosted by SummerSky Vineyards. A delectable 5 course meal was made with love by Phresh Foods Company. Table, wine, food service was impeccable. Do you want to enjoy an elegant evening filled with good food, nice music, wonderful conversations and shared love of wines? Then a winemaker's dinner with Peloton Cellars is the way to go. If, and when, you find yourself in Avila Beach pay Peloton Cellars a visit. A Lovely tasting room serving you delicious wines that have perfect notes and body. As some wine lovers state "Great Legs"

Great location with excellent wines! We can in for a tasting because we enjoy looking at the bike sitting out front. The gentleman doing the tastings was so enjoyable to speak with and very knowledgable on the wines. We ended up with full glasses of albarino (sp?). This was was so tasty, refreshing and with a beautiful finish. We enjoyed chatting and made our way outside to enjoy the view of the ocean. Cute little gift shop inside as well to check out. If walking down Front street cut through the shops to find this tasting. You will not be disappointed. Cheers!

This place absolutely blew me away. Normally, when I stop into a tasting room, I like maybe one or two wines. Here I loved every one of them. The Chardonnay and the Petite Syrah at the top of my list. The setting is charming, the woman who works there is lovely, and we left with a case of wine post-tasting. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

Great little hidden gem in the middle of downtown avila beach. They have amazing smelling candles inside, we tried the rose and it was delightful. Great place outside to sit with friends available.

The grounds are amazing and the best part was seeing a ton of peacocks roaming around. Unfortunately, on my visit none of them were fanning their feathers. Hopefully next time! They also have an Air BnB on site that you can stay at. It looked really nice! There's plenty of seating in the courtyard area and you're allowed to bring your own food. We just came for a flight tasting, which is only $20 here. The nice part about the flight is that you also have the option to try ciders. They give you casino like chips here to use for each tasting. Great way to keep track! The reason for the three star rating is the lack of customer service. When I go to a winery, I expect the person pouring the wine to explain each one that I'm tasting. There was no explanation at all. Maybe I should of asked, but it was odd for a winery not to do that. The gentleman that poured didn't look too happy to be there either. I cringed each time I had to walk up to get my next pour. He barely said two words to me and I just got the feeling he was mad or upset about something. I wish I would have gotten his name! The girl that helped in the beginning was kind, but she also never explained each pour. Just a weird interaction overall. Would I return here? Yes! I loved the grounds and the peacocks. The wine was decent and I would like to try the ciders next time, but I'll probably go inside the store where they were also pouring wines. Hopefully they know what they're doing! Overall, a great spot to check out and next time I will make it a point to ask for a description of each pour even though I shouldn't have to.

The Filipponi ranch hosts the production annually and it's an amazing experience and wonderful property. The stage is a little ways from the tasting room but set nicely in a valley between some hills and a nice shade covering of oak trees. The people working were very nice and accommodating and it made for an all around perfect date night with my wife. I did not have a glass while there but I did sample their 2023 Chardonnay and it was very nice. We asked if they had any fully cooked bottles for us to take home and enjoy on a later date. They did and I'm very excited for the pairings I have in mind for this bottle. This experience has solidified that the wife and I will definitely need another date night but at the tasting room this time. Highly recommend this business.

The grapes they used in some of the wines were from the vines right next to us. Oscar and Clint were very helpful and provided a lot of insight on the area. We went to a couple of their recommendations in town and they did not miss. This vineyard is a solid place if you want to sip on some good wine with a view. However, you will be missing out if you don't veer of the beaten path and head out for an adventure (you will not be sorry). Tucked inside the south end of San Luis Obispo the winery is located in a nice quiet area just a little off South Higuera. I have been here many times before, and usually the tastings were held inside their comfy tasting room. If a special event or just lucky you can get the treat get to taste in their production/barrel room (is this where the term barrel-o-fun comes from?).  The latest trip, due to the current safety requirements, the tasting were held just outside the tasting room on a nice set of tables with a new sun screen. Reservations were a snap (or call) and easy to work with their system and the staff were super helpful. Here is the most important part! The wines here are extraordinary, and would have to say some of the best Pinot Noir here in California. With the amazing soils (like Stone Corral and Bien Nacido) and the magic touch from winemaker Stephen Dooleys, these wines and especially the Pinot are not to be missed. The price considering the quality is reasonable and easy to pick up a few bottles to enjoy later. Now I need to figure out a pairing to pull together for dinner (hmm?). One of the things I appreciate about this winery and tasting room is their continued focus on the small touches they put on the experience and their special events. Previously I had attended a special tasting tour and this winery was one of the stops. The team put together and tasting menu with a smelling chart to compare smells and the different wines.  It was well done and loved how they really focused on providing value and a great experience for their guests.  If you're planning on some wine tasting or just being adventurous make a slight jaunt off the path and head to Stephen Ross Wine Cellars for a pinot and get to meet their team and wine family.  Be sure to put in your review what your favorite pinot was!? Cheers.
