In the common area there was a nice water fountain. The food court space wasn't too exciting other than it had DTF. All the stores we went had friendly staff. Security personnels walk around the mall to keep it safe. But outside the mall building, the surroundings are not as secure, so I suggest do all the shoppings during the day time.

My only negative comment is the lack of room between the clothing aisles. The small shopping cart could barely fit through the narrow space; it literally was hitting all the clothes on both sides as I walked through the aisles. Since it's almost fall, I couldn't resist purchasing a cream & tan plaid, duster cardigan for $34.99. I tried to do a catch and release, but was unsuccessfull! Especially after I found a pair of chocolate brown, loose pants, the color of the season, and on clearance for just $11. Together, it's a great fall outfit for $46. In the juniors department, I found a pair of high waisted, loose denim jeans with the shredded rips in all the right places. Not typically my style, at my age, but the price was great and they looked really good with a fall sweater. Tip for women - don't be afraid to browse in the Juniors department; often they have on-trend pieces for lower prices than the Women's area. There is plenty of parking right out front, including two handicapped spots. Next door is Ross, but I feel Marshall's has better quality clothes, and overall, a much better shopping experience.

Built in 1910 and then known as the Olds, Wortman & King Department Store until 1974, it is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and an official Portland Historic Landmark. These days, that once vivacious atmosphere is lifeless and is now home to The Western Culinary Institute, Brooks Brothers, and City Target, a Target Store that is much smaller and more dense than the sprawling suburban Target stores. Even with the Starbucks on the ground floor underneath City Target, there is still something missing: soul. This is such a great location, surrounded by transit, urban dwellers, and tourists, why wouldn't you want to do business here? We had friendly interactions from staff members in the all the stores. We also went to the food court on second floor, which was underwhelming compared to rest of the mall. The dining space had old tiles on the floor, the chair and tables were basic ones. There were 10-12 stores available offering a variety of cuisines. The food was decent from couple of stores we tried. Prices were little bit expensive. Overall we had wonderful half day spent shopping and dining at this mall. There was a good mix of popular and luxurious brands, offering wide range of products. The food court could use some facelift to match with rest of the wonderful interior of the mall.

I wasn't happy about that because what's the point of membership if I still have to pay fees? I completed their customer service survey, requesting someone from management reach out. They did and offered me the refund of fees as a gift card. Ultimately, me being charged fees for pickup was their parent company's (Kroger) fault. Even so, the store's customer service was excellent and the person who brought the order to my vehicle was super helpful. One of the items I ordered was a fire pit and it was out of stock. The guy that brought me my order gave me suggestions on where I could find one the day before a major holiday. Now that Gateway is closed, this is the largest Fred Meyer near me and I'll for sure be back.

If I am grocery shopping, I never have to walk beyond the midway point. Staff in the bakery, fish, meat and nursery areas have always been super helpful. I use the app to take advantage of the digital sales. Regular prices are typically reasonable compared with other grocery stores. No longer live in this part of town but since I workout at the gym nearby, this is where I do the bulk of my grocery shopping other than specialty items.

Backpacks and crossbody bags mingle with scarves, warm camping blankets, placemats, table linens and ceramics. There is a little bit of everything! Any item purchased here will elevate your space and experience. I was seriously impressed! For example, they have round, portable charcuterie boards that when you twist the top, a bottom drawer is exposed and contains four different cheese slicers and spreaders. Now that's clever, functional and beautiful! With all the wine tasting I do, I need one of these! The shelf stocked with specialty teas was it icing. The canisters were adorned with stunning papers collected from around the world and hand wrapped making the canister as special as the tea contained within. If you purchase one for a gift or for yourself, it would be proudly displayed on counter and not behind a cabinet door. The orange poppies were my favorite in case someone wants to buy me a gift! At JP General, ordinary items are anything but ordinary! Hellagood brand blankets that have warm faux fur inside and a durable fabric outside that fold and strap so you can easily bring camping, keep in your car for outdoor concerts or use around the house. This is just one example. The store is just delightful! We spent so much time walking slowly, checking everything out, reversing order and making additional laps - we didn't want to miss anything! Nestled amongst the many stores on SW Capital Hwy in charming Multnomah Village, JP General is a must visit! Heck, it's even a worthy destination.

We were not familiar with the brand, but with a big trip (at the time) coming up to a small island in Nicaragua and a large SALE sign out front, well, we had to go in. Right? Cotopaxi, I learned, focused on making durable travel and clothing gear as ethically and sustainable as possible. They also donate 1% of revenue to non-profits that help communities experiencing poverty. The store, while having a lot of items, did a nice job displaying their merchandise throughout the space. The bright and multi-color products are eye catching. The quality of the products are high end and I am in agreement with their statement; durable. The staff asked if we knew much about their product, which we did not, and they were more than happy to take the time to talk to us about who Cotopaxi is, their focus and answer and recommend products we were interested in or looking for. In addition of course we asked where the SALE items were. We were lead to the nice back porch and found backpacks, fanny packs, duffle bags and both men and woman's clothing racks. We decided to check out the large back packs and purchase two (2) for our trip. We very quickly discovered their products do not go on sale frequently, so we lucked out with a great discount on the day we decided to make our first visit. The bags were perfect for what we needed on our trip. I was pleasantly surprised with how much each bag actually held. They have great capacity! Additionally the areas are distributed with different zipped contained sections which allows for easy packing and organization. These bags traveled so well, especially considering we carried them onto 2 major airline flights, one small puddle jumper flight and then a low boat ride for 90 minutes through the mangroves of Nicaragua and then served us well on the small 12 acre island on the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua. Fast forward, 5 weeks later and as we walked through the Portland Saturday market we spotted a couple with the husband wearing the same Cotopaxi backpack. We stopped and chatted for a bit. They found the store yesterday and he purchased the bag. While pricy, he was already enjoying the product greatly and happy he purchased it. All in all, high priced product, but for the quality, organization and capacity I would absolutely buy the item again. Now that said, I also would prefer to wait for another sale!! SCORE.

Coach is an affordable "designer" bag so it's usually the first designer bag for many women. The Coach Outlet offers a lower quality bag than their flagship stores so know this going in. They are good bags, great when you want a spot of color and don't want to spend more than $100-$150. They mark the prices WAAAAAY up then offer 50-70% off. The is a very old and everyone-has-caught-onto-this "sales" technique. It's so 20 years ago! No one really thinks you are giving them 70% off on every single bag on some random Monday in the summer. Just put the darn price on the bag, and if you must, do a "compared to" as a reference. The constant changing of prices and discounts to arrive at the same net price is so annoying!! To demonstrate how complex it is, all of the salespeople carry calculators. When was the last time you went to a store and to determine the price of an item the staff had to figure it on a calculator? That is just ridiculous. The only real bargain to be found is when you find a purse that has the same 50-70% that every handbag in the store is receiving that day and it has an additional 20% off because it's on clearance. That's a deal! It's the only way I will buy anything here because these bags are a lower quality leather and craftsmanship, so price for me has to equal "worth what paid for." Once in a great while there will be a bag or two from the flagship store, think Coach at Pioneer Square, and it has the same 50-70% discount. That is a real bargain. On my last stop in I bought a cream colored crossbody bag with some crystal Daisys that gave it personality, making it stand out from the traditional conservative bags Coach is known for. Supposedly it was $398 which was NEVER believable or a reality. After 70% and another 20% the bag cost about $92, which I felt was a fair price and the bag is now mine. The only thing more annoying than the insultingly jacked up prices is the annoying salespeople who swarm when you enter. - Hi, have you ever been here before? - Here's a coupon for 70% off everything in the store. - Are you looking for something specific? - Can I help you find something? - Did you know we are having a sale? Noooooooo! Make it stop!!!!!!! I don't need a coupon, everything is drastically on sale every single day! Let me wander, if I need help I will ask. Other reviewers state they can't find customer service help. Let's trade places! I hate being hounded when I shop or constantly told how great the sale is when it's a gimmick. Rant over. I'll continue to pop in a few times a year, as I walk in the store I will politely state that I don't need help, and rush pass the door greeters. I'll shop at my pace seeking out the real deals. And every now and then will come home with a treasure. Get on their email list and when they open up their online site a few times a year, you can shop in peace and know the prices right up front!
