Average ice cream here. Customer service wasn't helpful or friendly as well. Wouldn't recommend, and wouldn't return if/when in the area with so many better options available.

service horrible. I asked for a medium with a cone and they give me a cup and than threw a soggy cone on top. when I mentioned I was going to write a review they laughed at me . this is embarrassing for the company and something needs to change.

Ice Cream here is excellent. Located right across from the inflatable park, this is the perfect place to stop by and grab great ice cream. They even have fun games such as connect four and other lawn games to play after you eat your ice cream. Anyways, I had 3 scoops on a waflle cone. One being extreme chocolate which at this point was basically an entire scoop of fudge brownie which I love, one being chocolate and the other being mocha chip. This combination was excellent and I highly recommend it. Not much you can say about an ice cream place but it is safe to say my party of 6 successfully got all the ice cream we wanted in a reasonable amount of time for a reasonable price. On top of that, the ice cream was actually good. 5-Stars.

Excellent ice cream with large selection of flavors, however several were sold out when we were there on a Friday afternoon. Homemade waffle cones and reasonable prices for larger than average portions. Friendly service but could do a better job of cleaning the sticky tables out front.

I love ice cream and am a proud "ice cream snob". During my week in Cape Cod, I ate ice cream every day (sometimes 2x/day). Each time was a different place.... except here. I *had* to return on my last night and here's why: 1. Lots of flavors to select from - including creative flavors like Campfire S'mores & Extreme Chocolate 2. Big chunks of treats/mix-in's. These folks do not mess around & I love it 3. Fresh, homemade waffle cones. But they take it a step further and put a tiny marshmallow at the bottom (to absorb drips). Yup, that's taking it to a whole new level. 4. Games to amuse little (& big) kids 5. Great service. The staff know the in-and-outs of each flavor. With so many options for ice cream in the area.... I rarely visit the same place twice. Penguins is worth it!

Staff is always friendly and the ice cream is always good! Fresh made waffle cones are fantastic. Lines can be long but service is fast.

Despite the plentiful options for ice cream, the lines in the evenings are often very long. But, we had no wait grabbing our post-bike ride mid-afternoon snack, and the super friendly workers seemed eager to satisfy us. CCC has lots of appealing flavors, and I opted for the Monomoy Mud Pie and Allen Harbor Almond Joy. It was an unusual pairing, and I preferred the Mud Pie. Really great coffee ice cream, with fudge and graham crackers mixed in. The Almond Joy was very good too, but for me, the almond pieces detracted from the great creaminess of the ice cream even though the flavor and chocolate covered almonds were awesome. If I were spending more time on the Cape, I'd gladly taste test my way through their entire menu!

Get your ice cream mid-day instead of after dinner and you *may* avoid the hour plus lines many of the ice cream places on the Cape have every night. We went to Cape Cod Creamery after earning the treat by riding many miles on the CC Rail Trail that morning. We had one party in front of us and waited only a moment or two. The staff were young and friendly. I asked our scooper what her favorite flavor is and she said, "black raspberry and usually everyone who tries it orders it. Do you want a sample?" I, in fact, did! I love a place that lets you try before you buy. While I often gravitate towards chocolate flavors, I decided to try it along with a scoop of blueberry. I got my chocolate fix by ordering my cup with chocolate sprinkles. While the flavors were kind of similar in color and taste, I enjoyed the black raspberry more. Mine was a healthy two scoops for about $7.50. It felt expensive but ice cream out, and on Cape Cod, always is. We enjoyed our ice cream outdoors because it was a beautiful day! There is plenty of indoor dining space for nighttime or weather days that are not as optimal. A shop with a clean bathroom is always an added bonus in my book.
