I've never…read moretried Chinese acupuncture, but I can tell you that Japanese acupuncture with Dr. Kei is a pain free and pleasant experience! He is friendly, professional, makes you feel relaxed, and most importantly, effective! I had tried all sorts of things to fix my sciatica that I'd been suffering from for over a year (I had hurt myself by improperly lifting something heavy). Stretching, exercises, massages, the chiropractor, none of these helped and some made it even worse! I was amazed when 2 days after my appointment with Dr. Kei, I noticed I no longer had the sciatic pain! I guess this is common practice in Asia, but for me (born and raised in the Bay Area), Dr. Kei is like a magician! The pain went away for months and came back again after I aggravated it while dancing. I went back to Dr. Kei and he fixed it again! I look forward to my appointments with Dr. Kei. He provides a very relaxing and pleasant experience. I will continue to see him and recommend him to anyone suffering from pain!

I still have one stubborn breastfeeding-related issue that he's working on, but no matter how much pain I'm when I go in to see him I always feel like a whole new person when I leave his office. Everything magically clears right up. Compared to classic Chinese acupuncture which I've tried before (and also liked), Dr Kei is a whole lot more personable, gentle and explains everything he's doing before actually doing it. There are also fewer needles than traditional Chinese acupuncture, and some other techniques that I'm forgetting the names of. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will be seeing Dr Kei for all my doctor-needs moving forward :)

Her cupping has been a game changer for my neck and shoulder (I had frozen shoulder) and am very active so I'm often hurting myself one way or another. Angela herself is warm, authentic, and wonderful to chat and laugh with. We love sharing restaurant finds. But what happened this week completely blew my mind! I had horrific calf pain after running stairs with a 20 lb weighted vest two days in a row. I was miserable. I felt like I had calf surgery! While treating my calf, Angela said it felt like the needle was going into a steel plate! I was horrified, thinking what did I do and how long before I heal? The very next morning I woke up... and the pain was gone. I could not believe it. I went to the gym and did leg press and my full leg circuit like nothing had happened. I had no idea acupuncture could be that directly effective. I'm weirdly excited to see what Angela does with my next problem! Thank you, Angela!

First of all, I want to echo previous reviews that Minal indeed has amazing bedside manners and I have seen her several times and have been treated with nothing but respect and kindness. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the front desk person working on Thursday, Dec 10, 2026 - Alyssa, and to a lesser extent, Angela the owner. Again, like previous reviews of interactions with the front desk, it seems they are incapable of having any empathy for customers. In my case, I was running late for my 4PM appointment and called around 3:30PM (answered by Alyssa) to see what could be done. I was told the policy was strictly a 10min grace period so if I arrived at 4:11PM, I would be charged a $75 late fee. This was very frustrating because I was scheduled to arrive right around 4:10PM, but a simple traffic light could be the difference between arriving at 4:10 or 4:12, but Alyssa firmly stated they wouldn't even make a minute exception even though I had never been late before in any previous appointments. This stressed me out so much so even though I managed to arrive at exactly 4:10 (got lucky with the traffic lights), I was dis-regulated and accidentally slammed the door that was the entrance to the clinic (it is super light, definitely one of those indoor hollow doors). Alyssa glares at me and states there are other patients and I said something to the effect of Oh well I was very stressed out trying to get here on time due to the policy, so sorry and obviously this won't happen again. And she continues glaring and mutters ..crazy... while looking me straight in the eye. And then she's like ugh whatever Minal will talk to you, in a tone straight out of Mean Girls and leads me to the room. A minute later, I come back out asking if I could use the bathroom (not sure if I would be charged the late fee for it so wanted to check) and she glares at me for a solid few seconds, as if in disbelief I dare talk to her again, before begrudgingly saying uh yea whatever... The next day, Angela the owner called me to talk about the incident, so I told her what happened and mentioned Alyssa called me crazy, and she said that she heard from Alyssa that she said "That's crazy...", and not "YOU'RE crazy...". Now my question is does that make a difference? When your front desk receptionist looks a customer in the eye and says CRAZY, does it matter if it was preceded by "you're" or "that's"? It felt like 75% of my call with Angela was her basically saying she didn't know who to believe with the he-said-she-said (then why call me to talk about it) and nitpicking on the details of the name calling. I called her out on it and she apologized and emphasized she does not condone Alyssa's behavior, but it didn't feel sincere due to her previous comments. Philosophically, I hate places that can't make a 1 minute exception as a one-time deal (I get if someone is chronically late that you gotta respect other people's time and pay for it), but I would say if it were only this, I would be giving this place maybe 3 stars for the inflexibility since it is their right and it's just preference but not a crime or anything. But 1 star for Alyssa's behavior and the very confusing defensive call from Angela afterwards.

He has provided me relief where chiropractors were unable to. I had never done acupuncture before and was scared of needles. However, his technique doesn't hurt at all. You barely feel the needle going in and once he's done and you're lying there, you can feel your body calm and start to heal. The cupping also helps if you have acute pain as it helps to release pressure in those areas. I benefited so much from it that when my mom came who is struggling with a lot of arthritis I sent her to him and she also said Dr. Wang was very helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone in pain but also who wants to just benefit from relaxation and cleansing. It has become a weekly appointment for me and an hour of calm that I look forward to. Dr. Wang responds promptly to emails, texts and even follows up with extra information that he talks about in sessions to help at home. He has been very flexible accomodating my schedule and reschedules. Can't recommend him more highly.

I got positive results in that it seemed to reduce the pain for which I went to see him and though it stopped working after a while, I don't attribute this to his practice but to that my system seems to get desensitized no matter the type of intervention. He is a man of few words and has a lot of confidence in his demeanor, which is fine, not that I wanted him to say any more than he was. Either it's his nurse or his receptionist, which might be his wife, who after the needles have been for a while, comes in and removes the needles. The office is centrally located and clean and neat inside, looking more like a house with a long narrow corridor and multiple rooms. The cost for services seems like the rate for this area, and though he does other stuff like cupping, I never got that done (only acupuncture). Once, what happened is: I walked there and back from my house, and as I was walking back from the acupuncture, noticed a horrific pain in my right calk. I never lifted my pant leg to see, I just kept walking. That's totally on me and my mistake. I should've stopped to see WTF was the matter. It wasn't till I got home and took off my pants, that I saw the needle still in my calf! He normally put needles all up and down my body,, and tbh, I always closed my eyes so never knew the exact locations. When I saw that needle, I freaked out, took it out. Called their office and massively complained. I was shocked that they were not more apologetic, and rather matter of fact. Huh? Is this a thing of such frequency in the acupuncture world that my reaction is overkill? Not sure. But still, it would've been nice to get a profuse apology and remorse/regret, but I didn't. I did go back after that, and in that visit, mentioned again the incident with the needle left in my calf, and he didn't seem all that bothered. Not long after that, a few visits more and I stopped.

Then, after one painful bloating incident, where others eating the same food had no issues, I decided to seek advice from Dr. Wong. From the beginning, Dr. Wong quickly educated me about her approach, how we would learn more about my situation, and how she proposed to treat my situation. Dr. Wong listened to me about my goals for myself, and we discussed a plan to which I was willing to commit. Within a few weeks of starting treatment, digestive changes were noticeable, and maybe I was also lucky that in a few months, my digestion became stable with regular healthy stool output. Through those observable improvements, I am certain Dr. Wong's treatments and advice, including a much reduced appreciation of wine, has resulted in distinctly improved digestion. As mentioned at the top, my body feels like it is internally working much better than before.

There were barely any foods left I could eat anymore that would not cause me pain on top of having extreme bloating, cramping, nausea, constipation, heartburn, fatigue, and multiple other symptoms on top of my own stress and grief. Desperate for a solution when my regular doctor could not come up with any, I turned to Dr. Wong not knowing anything about how naturopathic medicine works. After seeing her on and off for the past year and a half, I am so grateful to no longer be reporting any of my original symptoms, and able to live my life again. While of course it is a more expensive route than just taking a simple pill along with much more dedication to your health, I am so glad that I decided to work with her. Not only does she genuinely care about your overall well-being, but also she comes up with an individualized plan based on multiple thorough tests based on your needs. I highly recommend working with Dr. Wong if you want to make a positive difference in your life and are able to financially commit to this type of work.
