I left 2 messages on Friday, 1 in the morning and 1 in the late afternoon and I also filled out a contact form on the website, none of which received a response. Since I was anxious to set up an appointment to get my windshield replaced, I chose another shop. Perfect. No nonsense repair of our damaged windshield. Great service and repair. Our Tesla Model 3 suffered a small starburst chip in the windshield while my wife was driving on 101 in a lane just next to and behind a truck. Something came off the uncovered back of the pickup and the small object hit the windshield. The small little chip was overall less than the size of a dime so it could be repaired. I called at the end of last week and scheduled to have Ryan came out today. He called ahead and drove to our home soon thereafter. Took less than 15 minutes to repair. He was very polite and efficient. The final size of the actual hole was less than 3mm in diameter and the repair chemical filled in the surrounding small cracks. Phew. This morning I woke up to discover my car had been broken into and the window was shattered. After having my car broken into, I found Peninsula Auto Glass on this platform. Ryan was close by, works exclusively via mobile repair service, and was able to get to my job in less than one day. Communication was quick, attentive, professional and straight to the point. I told him my year, make and model and what happened to my car and he immediately quoted me a very fair price for the glass and labor. He just needed to order the glass but could have it in a few hours. The glass arrived broken so he expected a replacement glass the following morning. He called me to update me and would call me when he could be on his way the next morning, which worked for me. I am very disappointed in the service. My old windshield had no tint and I preferred it that way. After my windshield was installed I sat in my car and noticed text printed on my windshield. When I asked what it was Ryan said it was on my old windshield. When we checked, there was no text on my old windshield. It wasn't until after he left that I realized my new windshield had tint along the top and the text indicated the bottom most level of tint. I really don't like the tint on my windshield because it hinders my field of view. When I tried reaching out to him about this problem he didn't reply. When driving the chip on my windshield turned into a 16 inch crack. I had the chip sealed 5 or so years ago but I guess it just failed. I was stuck at work and not knowing if it was safe to drive and not wanting to get hit with a fit it ticket. I looked on Yelp and called Ryan and he gave me a quote within minutes. Here are the reasons you should not read any other Yelp reviews and go with Peninsula Auto Glass. 1) He picks up the phone and has a working website. (While calling one place I got all circuits are busy and another place did not have a working website) 2) PRICE - I had got quotes from 3 different places that were rated high on Yelp. Peninsula Auto Glass was the best. 3) Same Day Service - I called in the morning and he waited for the glass to come in which was in the afternoon. When I told him my concern about the fix it ticket and rain he came out within an hour after the glass was delivered to him. I was in a meeting with my Director. My co-worker gave him the keys and by the time my meeting concluded he was done. 4) He put back on the oil change sticker... ya maybe a small thing but I bet you a lot of places don't even care to remember that. 5) I forgot my checkbook! No worries he said i could send him the check. First thing I did when I got home is to make sure I got that ready to send out. How many business do you know today that still have that honesty and trust with their customers. Overall it sucks to have to replace or repair your windshield but things happen. Took a gnarly rock to my windshield and knew with my luck, my windshield would spider out soon. Researched a few places in the peninsula and landed on the reviews for Peninsula Auto Glass.
