Both of them said to call Advanced Auto Glass so I gave them a call and left a message and they called me right back. I spoke with Willy he asked for information on my Vehicle which is only a couple of months old so I gave it to him. He said he didn't have window in stock but give a hour and he would find out where he could get one. He called me back in 30 minutes! None found local but he could one by tomorrow which he did then came out to my place of business and installed it. He did a fantastic job installing it you wouldn't even know it was broken. This review is for replacing the windshield on my 2014 Mazda CX5. AAG was on the list of recommended shops from State Farm, so after reading a few reviews, I contacted AAG. Wiley & team provided A+ customer service from start to finish. First by getting in touch with me quickly once I filed my claim, and then following up to confirm best date / time for the service. Because my windshield has sensors for calibration, it needed to go to their shop (vs. being done at my workplace). Wiley & team picked up my vehicle from my worksite, completed the work and within a couple hours had my vehicle back to me (fantastic customer service, right?). Throughout the process there was EXCELLENT communication re: pickup & drop-off times as well as the 'after care' required for the windshield. A rock cracked my front window on 101 around Feb of 2019, so I called to get the pane replaced. These guys were offered thru my insurance and had fine reviews. Scheduling was no problem - they came out a day or two later and it was done within an hour and a half. Two days later it rained, and when I went to put my wipers on, I noticed they were jumping violently along the window and crashing into one another. The guys who had replaced the window must have put them back on wrong (underneath the hood - it wasn't a simple fix like swapping the wipers out or getting new ones. I tried). It was the weekend so I called and the earliest they could see me was the next week, but the owner did offer to fix it himself. Only problem was, I was going to have to drive out to go see him, about a 40 min round trip. I had selected these guys mostly because of the convenience, i.e. that they come to fix your car at your house. Now I was faced with traveling somewhere to get it fixed again. Instead I had my husband take a look. He watched some videos online and was able to fix it. I called the owner to let him know I wouldn't be meeting him at his shop, and he was very apologetic about the whole thing, wishing I had told him earlier. I told him no biggie, no hard feelings. We agreed if it starts messing up again I can give him a call for a free repair. One thing I have noticed about the window in the 4 months since the repair: there are weird parts of the window that look almost like oil spills... sort of foggy in a way that would make you think using the AC on the window would clear it up, but it doesn't! It's really annoying, but it only happens at a certain time of day, right before the sun sets when the angle of the light is just right (or wrong, rather). It's not annoying enough to ask them to fix it. I just wonder what type of glass they're installing that this would happen? So overall, an OK experience. read more

What can I say? A rock hit my window on the freeway and a crack appeared. It grew to about 18 inches long and I knew a new windshield was in the works. Since I now needed 1 full replacement, I figured I'd also replace the windshield on the other, higher-mileage car with a few battle scars of its own. I inquired about a mobile service, but he felt it best to have the work done onsite at his shop in Fremont. This involved some logistics on both our parts to get the first car to him, do the work, then swap in the 2nd car. It was a lovely Sunday morning, until my windshield is broken. I was driving on San Tomas expressway, then all of a sudden a huge rock gets kicked up and cracks my windshield. Tried to find windshield repairs on a Sunday, no one was open, except for advanced auto glass. Called Sunday evening around 440pm. Mike said they will be out the next day. Mike & Wiley are the best. When Wiley arrived at my work, took him less than an hour to install my new windshield. Since I had my windshield replaced before (with a cheap company) they mess up my rubber trim pieces and it was not properly installed. But never fear Advanced auto glass fixed it!!! My windshield needed replacement due to a crack that was 2 feet from top/bottom. Since this is an older style vehicle, in order to replace the gaskets/windshield requires special technique. I knew this job requires someone who specialize antique vehicles and custom auto glass replacement. Spoke to Wiley and was professional and very knowledgably on what needs to be done. He also took care of the insurance paper works so one less thing to worry about. Before the job, Wiley went over all the details so I knew exactly what will happen. On the day of the job, Wiley gave a 2 hour window and called within 30 mins before arrival. Took the existing windshield out, took off the rear view mirror and wipers with care. Went back to the shop and custom cut a whole new piece of glass, next day, called ahead, came over, and installed it. The process typically takes 3 days since the new glass needed to be made; nevertheless everything was complete in 2 days. By far, Wiley is the best out there. I have never dealt with any company that is as reliable, honest, and with excellent work ethics. I would rate this company 6 out of 5 stars. By afternoon that same day, I had a new window for a VERY competitive price - this in itself is deserving of 5 stars! However, I was even more impressed at what a friendly guy the owner was. He is a friendly, family guy who is good at what he does and obviously loves his work - not to mention he's great at it. When I asked him about replacing a rear view mirror, he offered me advice on how to do it and save money, even though it meant that he wouldn't do the job! Had a tiny spider crack on the windshield. Called Wiley up in the morning and he was able to stop by my work at noon. He explained that if the crack is smaller than a size of a quarter that they would be able to seal the crack from spreading guarantied. $70 to seal a quarter sized crack. I got a chip in my Audi windshield, which quickly grew into a long crack due to the temperature differential between Lake Tahoe and the bay. They were able to get a Pilkington made OEM windshield quickly and installed next day. However, I felt there was some distortion in the glass. (It's not the conventional waving, but rather I feel like the windshield was prescription or something, couldn't focus and it was giving me a headache) I called them back and Wiley came to check it out. He didn't see what I was talking about but agreed to get a windshield from Audi and I'd cover the difference. The install was done quickly and professionally. Their customer service can be rated top notch. Unfortunately, I am noticing this new windshield still has problems with distortion, but to no fault of Advanced Auto Glass. At first I thought maybe I was going crazy and my eyes were too sensitive, but I drove around my other car for comparison and it was fine. I'm going after Audi of America instead now to resolve the issue as I don't want to keep making Mike and Wiley come out to replace my windshield for free when it's not their fault. read more

They were not open, but made an appointment with me for the following morning. I'm a teacher so they took care of everything while I taught -- I never even saw them. I can't believe that AAG hasn't been YELPED! I discovered AAG through my employer's recommendation page so I decided to try it out after reading the positive reviews. It's my alternative to Yelp sometimes. After getting a crack on my windshield, I decided to get it filled vs replacing the entire windshield. AAG sent Mike (co-owner) the next day after I made an appt and arrived right on time at my work and completed this repair in about 30 minutes right there in the parking lot! I don't think one can ask for more when they can come to you and do job that clean, quick and for a reasonable price ($45)! They will provide you a quote right on the phone. This is a review on a window and windshield replacement. My experience with Advanced Auto Glass was, by far, the best experience I've had with any car repair I've ever needed. My car was broken into in San Francisco. The back passenger-side window was smashed in. On top of that, a previous crack in my windshield was beginning to spread, so I took the opportunity to replace both at once. I found Wiley on Yelp. I noticed he had all five-start ratings, which actually made me skeptical. However, he had competitive prices (I called around to check), he was extremely accommodating to my schedule (got me in the next day, on a Saturday), and when I got there, he was super friendly. He works from home and is mobile, which makes him very flexible on when he can take care of you. What I loved was the chance to see Wiley in his home. He welcomed me to hang out, meet his family while he did the repair. That demonstrated a huge level of initial trust, which only trustworthy people tend to extend on first meetings. I instantly felt comfortable. I had to return because the window-color of the back window was too dark (his manual had listed it incorrectly). He installed the darker window so my car would be safe then had me come back two days later to put the right window in. He didn't charge me for anything until the entire job was completely done. When you meet Wiley, you can tell, you're dealing with a no-nonsense, honest guy. He did a great job and now I will go back to him for any auto glass issues I have in the future. (4.5 stars) I was at Sunnyvale Bay Land Park to go on the Bay Trail for a bike ride and came back to find my baby had been broken into. I called up Advanced Auto Glass and scheduled an appointment for the following afternoon. The greeting and handling of the call was a bit cavalier and I really wasn't in the mood for it after having my car broken into but proceeded with appointment the following day. Mike was the technician/owner sent to do the job and he arrived in the 2-hour window provided. Mike was very personable and started on the work right away saying it would take about 30 mins. I went to check on the progress after about 30 mins and Mike was in the process of cleaning up (vacuuming / cleaning of new glass). While he was in the last stages of the installation we just shot the shit about his work and my work, which also involves glass. It felt like we had been friends for years and having a very pleasant conversation until it was time for paperwork to be signed. I give them 4.5 stars, so I'll round up to 5. If the initial call was handled more professionally I would have no hesitation giving them a full 5-star rating. Despite the initial contact, the installation was done quickly, in the time agreed upon and by an extremely friendly and personal fella.
