Never completed the job. They were unhelpful and based on other reviews, they are likely dangerous.

They destroyed my property because they don't know how to operate a crane properly. Sad.

South Bay Crane & Rigging - Rear leg of crane improperly placed where dirt meets concrete

Jose (owner) was responsive and great to work with. He showed up in a day to do a site visit,…read morescheduled quickly, gave clear pricing (fair and reasonable), and on the day of the job showed mastery in Skills. He moved the crane into a very tight spot, got everything done quickly, and was clean and tidy. Can't ask for more. The quality of service that was provided, was the best that I have had from any business in a very long time. I got more than I expected for the price.

South Bay Crane and Rigging aka Arborlift Inc was subcontracted by La Selva Tree Care for a job…read morethat involved the removal of a large redwood tree next to the house a couple years ago. My main concern was if the weight of the crane would cause damage to the concrete driveway. After numerous attempts to contact the owner Jose of South Bay Crane I finally got ahold of him and he assured me the 6x6 wood pads provide enough protection to prevent damage. Unfortunately his crane operator placed one of the legs of the crane where the concrete meets the dirt which caused the driveway to crack. After the job was complete I could tell someone put dirt on the cracks to hide the damage (pic 1 shows cracks and pic 2 shows rear leg of crane improperly placed where cement meets the dirt). I would definitely look into hiring someone else if you want the job done correctly. This company might be cheaper than others but the quality of performance is not worth it after causing damage.
