This was my first time here, and it was a neat experience. I happened to find this place online. They basically buy all types of totaled vehicles and then sell parts from them. My car needed a new interior rear view mirror, and it's been very difficult to find a new one, even from the dealership. Low and behold, Action Auto Wreckers (and Honda Heaven). I called them to confirm that they had the part. I went down a few days later to pick it up (they pulled it from the car while I waited). I'm not sure what the relationship is, but Action Auto Wreckers is located next to Honda Heaven and the only retail front that was open when I went to pick up my part. Pro tip: Call ahead and have them pull the part so you don't have to wait. Also, the first part they pulled for me was incorrect, so make sure to double check what they give you (and ideally bring the part to them). They were happy to swap it out, but I'm glad I didn't need to drive all the way home and back here to swap it. read more

Pretty standard transaction. People were nice. The kid workin in the back shop was cool and answered my questions about how my car was found etc. no One likes fees etc and there's weren't as bad as I had seen some before. It sucks that grits police reports come out so slow. It would have been 2 weeks before I got note that the car had been impounded. At $300 for the tow, $160 a day x 12 days and a $160 police release form fee (lots of typos and mis information on the checked boxes. I had an outstanding experience with Nate at Action Auto Wreckers this week. After the catalytic converter was stolen off my 2006 Toyota, I decided to dispose of it. I called around and spoke to a few junk yards and the offers were disappointing. Then I called AAW and Nate quoted an offer that was substantially better. He arranged to have it towed to his yard and wrote a check on the spot. He was also kind enough to personally give me a ride home. The entire transaction was taken care of in one day. Didn't have what I needed but give me a recommendation. The recommendation did not have it either but they tried!

Bought a transmission from them brought it to my shop and transmission was faulty and whoever took it out of the last car did not care if things were damaged. Oil dipstick tube was completely mangled causing me to have to change oil pans. Put the transmission on just to find out the oil pump was not working and rusty water was sitting in the transmission as if it sat outside for months. Fast forward a few days later I return transmission and exchange for another transmission just to bring it all the way back to my shop and there is metal all in the oil pan. I call asking to come pick up and give me my money back and they refused. Completely shady company DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! read more

I drove an hour and a half to go to this wrecking yard they didn't have the part that the website said they had. Looked around for another part got a price of $200 but they said they could not take it out of the vehicle today so call back on Monday .called Monday they wanted $450 for the same part. I explained I was just there and got a price quote. Classic bait and switch. These people a crooks making up prices as they go. Don't do business with these awful people. read more

My dad and I stopped by here the other day and swooped a set of Michelin tires for 170 and some change. Definitely a sweet deal as this set brand new would've ran 500 bucks easily. My dad was able to bargain his way down from 250 to 160 which I say isnt too bad of a deal. Service was pretty slow yesterday but it's explainable since, these tires were still on the car and had to be removed. The guy at the counter was very friendly and did his best to accommodate is in between a constant bombardment of phone calls. This place isn't like a pick n pull in a sense that you don't get to walk the lot. You just wait in the office while one of the workers retrieves the part. I have no idea how my dad wound up walking the lot on his own but he did despite the sign that says no customers beyond this point. My only complaint was the variance in price depending on who you speak to. When we first came in the guy at the desk said no way, I can't give you that price despite havin another rep make the offer an hour earlier. Just make sure if you aren't buying on the spot that the rep who made the offer is present or you'll be sitting there upset. read more

Spoke to them about purchasing my car. They asked me to text them pictures of the car. After I sent them, they didn't respond. Sent follow up texts the next two days without any response. The third day I called their shop again, where they said "Oh yeah, we weren't interested." I figured they would have the courtesy to take 5 seconds to text back instead of leaving me hanging for days. read more
