AVOID THIS CLINIC AT ALL COSTS. It's a very unprofessional medical office, from the front desk to the technicians and doctors. Go someplace else, anywhere else in the Bay Area. You'll get better service there. The way it's operating now, who knows if you're even getting the right transcripts! I should have read the Yelp reviews sooner. The one about Dr. Kleiner arriving late in gym clothes, and wolfing down a yogurt in the hallway, sounds about right. read more

Peninsula Imaging made my very stressful week a little more sane. I was so grateful that they could squeeze me in week of when other centers told me that was impossible. Big shout-out to their staff, especially to Clare, the patient coordinator, and Dr. Wise. I was very impressed with their services! When I first contacted them, their receptionist(s) were all very friendly and made great effort in assisting me. I had some concerns about my insurance and consulted with Jennifer in the billing department and she spent a good amount of time researching my insurance concerns. She assured me everything would be okay and that my insurance would cover it. When I went for the imaging procedures, Olga was very understanding about my condition and really made the effort to help me. I really appreciate her patience and care in comforting her patients. It meant alot! A week or so after the procedures, my insurance still billed me incorrectly and I contacted Jennifer. I've had several MRI's and usually go to the hospital imaging lab. I have insurance that is not typical and Noel helped me navigate getting the best outcome with using my deductible vs cash pay. He was over the top as far as service goes. Everyone was great and the price was totally reasonable and easy to get an appointment. I highly recommend them. read more

I've been coming to this place for many years. But my experience today was something I should comment on. The Mammogram tech was OK, but the Ultrasound imaging experience was not for the following reasons: - Tech's mask kept falling off her ears! She was still talking to me and grabbed her mask off her face when the loops came off her ears. I was praying the whole time during imaging that the mask would not fall off her face! - When it's done, the tech asked me if it's ok for her to clean in the room while I'm getting dressed. This has NEVER happened at any clinic before in my life. I was not feeling comfortable to have to clean my breasts and get dressed while the tech is cleaning the station in a small tiny room together... - One tech took 2 patients (myself and another person) in. I spent 15 minutes wondering and waiting by the changing room trying to figure out where to go... read more

Highly incompetent! Avoid like the plague! Please save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. You don't want to have such incompetent people handle anything to do with your health/body. I booked an appointment to get an XRay done. The (super rude) lady booking the appointment took all my details, I was given an appointment for 8 am and asked to drink lots of water. Come my appointment day, when I show up in the office I am told that the X-ray I need is not done there and that they don't even do X-rays! The entire staff was completely unapologetic and very rude to me. Even though I had specifically given then details of the X-Ray, they failed to mention this to me on the phone. When I brought up the fact that I did given the person making all the appointment all the details, the "manager" started telling me that she had heard the phone recording and that I was lying. As soon as I challenged her to listen to the said recording with me present, she rightly shut up and started stammering. Their lack of respect for customers and their time is a major red flag. I would not recommend this place due to their complete lack of accountability and attention to detail. read more

I've had two ultrasounds at Peninsula Diagnostic Imaging by two different technicians, and both were absolutely lovely. They gave me lots of photos of the baby and were very respectful and kind. They were knowledgeable and professional. For example, they asked about gender reveal preferences prior to the ultrasound, and prioritized my comfort. I was nervous about some of the poor reviews about this place, but the experience was great. The results were posted very quickly and with high quality. There were no surprise bills. I will note that I have had some difficulty reaching the office by phone and having message returned. This is why I took one star off. However, my OB's office was able to reach them no problem. read more

I called on Monday while I was in the car with my husband to make an appt and was told I can come on Wednesday for 8:30 to come at 8:15 on Wednesday . Didn't received any reminder on Tuesday .I came on Wednesday at 820 I was told my appt was 815 and another person told me her appt is at 815 also so when receptionist came again to talked to me I mentioned at having double booking for 8:15 then she she changed her word and said that my appt was at 815 and to come at 8:00 . My husband was surprised to hear my cancelled appt since he heard it also when I made the appt that it's 830 as well and to come at 815. I travelled from the coast so it's a drive for me . read more

I was blown away by the entire staffs attentiveness. I made an appointment during crazy times (CV19) and currently injured and using a seated knee scooter since I'm currently not able to stabilize myself standing up. The thing about the scooter is that it doesn't move effortlessly on carpet, and since I'm currently not able to use both legs with all my might I needed help maneuvering from the waiting room into the area where I'd get my mammogram, dressing room, 3D imaging room, and lastly the ultrasound room. Since my bf was not allowed in to help me maneuver through the carpeted floors I was greeted by an office manager (if I'm correct) and Monica the mammogram tech. They were so kind to help me move around about and used a rolling chair so I can be better positioned during the mammo session. Then, Monica rolled me in the dressing room to wait after she was done with me, and she nicely placed by knee scooter outside the door while I waited for another lady who was a bit loud, but super sweet and again Monica and the office manager was there offering to help me up on the bed so I can get the 3D imaging done. I felt bad and asked if they can just call my bf in to help carry me on the bed. I didn't want them to drop me and it's really not their job. My bf helped me up and I was pretty embarrassed that I caused such a scene. The second lady taking care of me (3D scan) I forgot her name, she's Persian and though loud, I loved her motherly energy, though she may be intense for some i didn't mind it. I was already feeling a bit tense considering I was injured, and had what seemed like a concerned crowd of women trying to do their best to make sure I'm comfortable and safe, I was embarrassed yet thankful. Lastly, and thought I was done... while my second tech was helping me get settled since I was drenched in gel and "shaving cream" lol for the 3D scan. Another sweet woman came in the room and said, she'll be taking me to another room to do a handheld ultrasound. This time I was able to hop off the bed and jump on my scooter, but not without the two of them on each side guiding me to make sure I don't fall. It was a pretty intense and stressful situation for me, and I think it was the same for the staff. By the time we got to the 3rd room where I was getting my hand held ultrasound, I asked if they can call my bf again to help me up on the bed, and they were so freaking kind and awesome to go looking for him. By this time, there were other faces popping in to let me know he's not outside. Then minutes later they found him!! 3 techs and office staff made my stressful visit at ease. I was embarrassed, however, I was blown away by their TLC. I met the doctor very briefly (lovely woman), and I'm so sorry I didn't catch everyone's names but only Monica. Thank you staff, thanks for all that you did for me on Monday. I am humbled and very grateful for the experience. read more

Two words ... NEVER AGAIN. The tech was snarky and rough. First time a mammogram has been painful in 10 years ... I thought that was a thing of the past with the newer technology. Increasingly feeling like I need to go to LA once a year for all of my annual check-ups. Hard to beat Tower St. John's Imaging. They don't seem to have anything comparable in the Bay Area. read more

My wife was pregnant with our son when we came to Dr. Kleiner. She discovered a complication in our pregnancy that was uncommon, and life threatening for the baby; it was a condition no other doctor had recognized up until that point, and something with which she had experience with and was therefore able to find. Having found the condition, we were able to manage it, and my wife later gave birth to a healthy, beautiful baby boy. 5 stars isn't enough to thank Dr. Kleiner for having saved our baby's life! read more

I have been going here for many many years and I have to say the staff has always been friendly professional courteous and very understanding I recently went to get my mammogram and because of Covid there was only other one other person there and they had it set up so you were 6 feet apart I felt very safe the person who did my mammogram was wonderful no pain very comfortable so I thought I'd give them a thumbs up thank you read more

This place sucks. I been here many times and I come in 15mins early. I have to wait another 15mins to be seen. Today I called the office to let them know I'm going to be 5 mins late. Because I was stuck in traffic. They told me I have to reschedule. I live 20mins from this place I have to turn around and go home and reschedule my appointment. With the gas price today it's ridiculous. I also took a day off to get to my appointment. WOW I hope the manager read this review, because you just lost a patient. read more

Love this office. My appointments are always prompt. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. During these uncertain times because of COVID they have great protocols with social distance and keeping us safe. The manager Domonique was cleaning the office between every patient, sanitizing the pens and clipboards. Cleaning door knobs and the counter tops. The staff were all wearing protective gear. If you're looking for an alternative for any hospital I would definitely recommend this clinic for all your imaging needs. read more

Came here for all my trimester screenings. The nurses are very nice and professional. They take the time to complete the scans and are quite friendly. The front staff is friendly but a little unskilled. They are really quick to set you up for appointments and anything that costs money, but when it comes to follow up calls, they are not as responsive. I found the doctors here to be the worst. I have seen 2 doctors over my 3 visits. The one during my 2nd trimester scan was professional but totally trying to get me to do so many additional testing that were not at all required. I reached out to my OB after that scan and he asked me to ignore those requests. I ended up canceling all, and for the one issue that I did want to look into, I went to Stanford/ Lucile Packard, and they were so much more adept and professional. My worst experiences were with my doctor who saw we during my first and third trimester. During the first visit, she was sick and she hardly stayed to see/ talk to me for 2 mins. She didn't explain what the test results meant, but since she was coughing up a storm, I was happy to get out. She saw me again in my 3rd trimester. After the nurse completed her analysis, the doctor wanted to do more scanning. We started with the abdominal scan and it felt weird when she asked my sister to press down on my belly hard. After that she wanted to check the position of the placenta and did a vaginal scan. She went in so hard that I let out a shriek. That evening I had a major bleed (250cc; in contrast the qty taken in a blood donation is usually a pint or 500cc). I was hospitalized and my child's condition monitored because of the major bleed. This also triggered many subsequent bleeds that kept me in an out of the hospital. I had a very easy pregnancy until that point, and this totally messed up my pregnancy. Was on bed rest for the last 1.5 months of the pregnancy and hospitalized for 19 days in total until the baby arrived. read more

We're pregnant with twins, and recently had an amazing experience with Peninsula Diagnostic Imaging. All of the individuals here, from front desk to technician, to doctor, went above and beyond to keep us comfortable, reassured, and cared for. I really appreciated our technician describing everything she saw during the anatomy scan. It was delightful how she pointed out the details, reassuring us that the measurements were good, the fluid was good, Mama's anatomy was good, and both babies are right on schedule. Praise God! The down side to the visit- and this is typical for any sonography clinic- was the no video rule. BUT, to counteract that, both the skilled tech and doctor printed out loads of high res. pictures for us to take home. AND after the visit, they'll send you a link to download every image taken from the scan. (As we speak, I'm downloading the 83MB of images. Wowza!) We've been to another sonography clinic in Socal for previous pregnancies, and this has hands-down been the best experience we've ever had. I'm excited to be coming back here for future scans. I fully trust them. And highly recommend them for any pregnancy scans you might need!! read more

Went in for a second trimester ultrasound this week. I asked the technician to please put the gender of the baby with images in an envelope. We get home and realize all she did was put it in a small sticky note with NO images of the baby parts. I go back today to get images of the baby's parts only to find out she didn't take any!!! I am now scheduled at another place to have another ultrasound because someone didn't do as instructed. I will not be recommending this place nor going back again. read more

I am writing this review even though I haven't even been to this facility. I called them to make an appointment twice. Each time I was directed to a voice mail system. I left them a clear message with my telephone number asking them to call me back so that I can schedule an MRI. No one called me back. I think that is poor customer service. read more

At first, they seemed great and the radiologist actually comes in to talk about the images and what they mean. However, they pushed for me to have a biopsy not covered by insurance to distinguish a finding in the image to see if it was a tumor or not. They then told me it would be a couple business days for the results, but even after I called back on the 3rd and fourth day they didn't have an answer and told me it could take longer. Finally, they got me the biopsy results. I had surgery two months later, and a second pathologist examined the specimen and told me that my original biopsy results were incorrect and not reflective of the actual tumor. When I called Peninsula Diagnostic to ask about this, they had no real answer and instead told me that biopsies are not rarely wrong which is why they always recommend surgery. There was no clear answer as to why they pushed me at all to get a biopsy in the first place, especially since it was 1) wrong and 2) apparently that's not a rare occurrence? Overall a really terrible patient experience, plus they're difficult to get a hold of. read more

Edit: I've received apologetic correspondence from this establishment, and reassurance that things have improved. I'm impressed that they seemed to respond positively to my criticism. I was unimpressed when this place had to reschedule at the last moment 3 times for different appointments. I had prenatal ultrasounds at ~13 weeks (with AFP blood testing screening for genetic/spinal disorders) and ~20 weeks. Each time I was rescheduled it was because a tech called in sick, so it seems like they may have staffing issues. Each time I was seen, I really liked both the technician who did the ultrasound, and the dr. who did follow up with me. The wait was considerably longer than my dr's office ( greater than 15 mins) which is difficult when trying to do an appointment on a lunch hour. My biggest gripe is with the billing; I got huge bills while I waited for my insurance (Aetna) to pay their share. My OB's office is very used to this, and assisted Peninsula Ultrasound with the best billing codes. However, after they were finally paid, I got one bill (one!!!) that had a nasty 'FINAL NOTICE you will go to collections in 10 days if you don't pay your bill now' for a $20 bill. I promptly called the office and paid my $20 bill (3 months after initial ultrasound). I tried to politely convey how it seemed strange to get a threat for collections when I really had only received one bill telling me how much I actually owed. The woman was very defensive and said how I've received several bills. I explained these bills were all at the unadjusted amount. In any case, their billing office seems needlessly hostile, which caused me to actually submit a yelp review after a very long hiatus. read more

Went to Peninsula Ultrasound for my 20 week ultrasound as referred by my doctor. Everything started right on time, so no issues there. The technician was fine - she was friendly enough. I would have liked to have heard a bit more about what she was doing and seeing. The quality of the image, while superior to what my doctor's office has, was not that great to a first-time mom, so a bit more dialog would have been nice. Mostly, I wanted to know more ... I could see a hand or a foot clearly, but nothing else. Also, I had to look at the screen using a hand-mirror. Again, this is my first pregnancy, so this may be more common than I know of - but I have gone with friends / family and never seen this before. At my doctor's office (and every other time I've attended) the monitor can be tilted slightly so mom-to-be can view. What really turned me off was the doctor. She came in to do a second scan and review a bit more with me. She wasn't friendly at all, even though she tried to have a conversation - about me and my work, not the baby. After finishing her scan, she got up and left without a word. I wish this were an exaggeration. I laid on the table, and my husband and I waited. Nothing. Finally, the technician came in and asked if we needed anything else? Surprised, I mentioned the doctor had walked out and not said anything, so I laid on the table with my bottom covered with a paper sheet and goop all over me. The tech excused us, and (thank goodness!) my husband got me a wad of paper towels to clean up. Nothing more was said from anyone, though the tech walked in while I was still getting dressed. I walked out feeling cheated out of what I expected to be a great experience - getting to see my baby!! Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the services rendered and treatment received. If you have a choice of an ultrasound provided, I advise you to go elsewhere. read more

If you can get past the no-so-friendly gal at the front desk, it's smooth sailing from there! Why is it most docs have a mean lady at the front desk, anyway? And once she screwed up my appointment, but that's all water under the bridge. But I digress... Was at Peninsula Ultrasound a few times last year for some medical "stuff". Without going into to much unnecessary details, let me just say that they got me in and out pretty quickly, considering. And I just requested a copy of my bill for insurance purposes and they emailed it to me within minutes. That's good record keeping! Happy and healthy 6 months later, if I had to go back to Peninsula Ultrasound, it wouldn't be the worst thing ever. read more

Wow I had a mammogram done here just now. They are efficient and very friendly. I had no issues scheduling my appt last week. The office is super clean and nice, equipment seems modern, and they have heated gowns! They even have a Starbucks machine for tea and coffee. I'm now waiting for my pelvic ultrasound in a different office in the same building. Same nice environment and coffee machine. I wish all doctors' offices were like this. read more

The technicians are great - but the office staff is incompetent. They were unable to provide an itemized invoice at the time of payment for my 3D mammogram. Three phone calls later, I still have not received it. The response is that the billing person works remote and is the only person who can provide an invoice. First of all, they were 25 minutes late for my appointment, which I had to have a full bladder for, so that was torture. Once I was finally brought into the room, the tech. very quickly saw that my bladder was full and tried to be as careful and quick as possible. After I was allowed to use the restroom she said that the Dr. would be right in to talk to us. Well, 20 minutes later Dr. Kleiner blew in (in her gym clothes), gave us some quick run around about testing and then told us to come back in 5 weeks, and left (without talking to the receptionist and letting her know what we needed). Five minutes later we ran into the doctor in the hallway as she was shoveling a Yoplait into her mouth. While my Dr. recommended that we visit Peninsula Ultrasound, we will not be returning. I read some of the reviews below and let me tell you ONE thing; Dr. Kleiner is busy with more important stuff than what most of you talk about! I've been coming to Dr. Kleiner for over 3 years now with all of my pregnancies and she was able to find and tell me EXACTLY what each parent to be should look for!!!!!!! One pregnancy was an ectopic preg, Dr. Kleiner was able to tell me that at about 7 weeks. This was an unpleasant but extremely painless process, since she found it at such early stage. When I was pregnant with my daughter (who is n ow 15 months), CPMC were convinced that there was 1 out of 3 chance of a down syndrome and that we needed to think whether or not we will keep a baby that "has" a down syndrome. Dr. Kleiner and Dr. Sragets kept us rational and after series of tests, told us that it was nothing. Well, guess what......IT WAS NOTHING! Our baby girl is beautiful!!!!!! My other pregnancy, Dr. Kleiner took one look at the ultrasound and told me there was a bad news. Made us an apt at UCSF for the NEXT MORNING and sure enough the baby had chromosome abnormality. If we didn't term., the baby would have died early. WHAT PARENT CAN DEAL WITH THAT?????????? My current pregnancy (because of all the previous pregnancies), Dr. Kleiner agreed to see me, on a Friday, after the office was already closed (I think. There was no one else there), because my OB wasn't able to find a heartbeat and I was panicking. Dr. Keliner and Dr. Sragets probably thought that it would be unfair to me, to make me wait until Monday to find out that everything was ok. If this is not a good deed, I don't know what is!!!!!!!! My husband and I are VERY grateful to Dr. Kleiner, and always will be, for everything that she has done and still does for us!!!! THESE ARE THE THINGS THAT MATTER to a normal parent!!!! Awful. Just awful. If you can avoid this place at all for an ultrasound, PLEASE do. They overcharge you by a ridiculous amount and demand payment up front. I questioned the outrageous cost and was assured that I would pay it anywhere else, but I would just be billed instead of pay up front. Wrong! I recently had ultrasound work at another office for my anatomy ultrasound for this pregnancy and I was billed only $80, as opposed to paying over $400 up front. What a joke! For this I was expecting some really detailed and high tech work but nope! They don't even have 3D ultrasound technology, which the other office I went to (the one that charged me much much less) did. The pictures I came home with aren't worthy of a baby scrapbook, they aren't even worth keeping, they're such garbage. What the other reviewers say is true. Everyone here is rude, and you will experience long waits. I can't believe this place is still in business and I'm pretty angry that my OB even referred me to this sham of a place. read more

Giving 2 stars for the techs but thumbs down on the 2 front desks people. I made an appointment for 2 tests and I spoke with a R (not sure if I can mention names, so that's her first name's initial) who came across too strong over the phone. My appointment was at 8:15. She gave me instructions on what I needed to do prior to the tests. I was writing these instructions as she was saying it bec it's my first time to do all these tests but I sensed that she was trying to rush me. Okay, I can understand that, there's probably a lot of work she needs to do, patients waiting, etc. She also told me to go to suite 205. Day of the appt, I was there at 7:45 but suite 205 was locked. Called their ph# and R answered. She said they are open at 7:30. I said thank you and then she asked (again, coming across too strong) "why are you calling?" I explained that I have an appt and I was out there. She then said to go to suite 201. I went to suite 201 and R was there. I asked her why she told me to go to suite 205 and she answered because the test is going to be done over there. My issue is why didn't she tell me that if I arrive early I have to go to suite 201? And would it hurt for her to be personable. After the 1st test I was told to go back to suite 201 for the other test. After the 2nd test was done I went to one of the representatives at the counter and asked if I was done already because I didn't know if I was supposed to go back to suite 205. She gives me a "look" and says "I'm not the one who checked you in." She could have just asked my name and check my chart. Where is the customer service of this practice???!!!! These people have to realize that we are their customers and that's why they have a business but most important of all is that we are there because of health issues and a little compassion will go way far. Take this as an opportunity to improve. read more

Used to be a good place. After trying for two weeks to get a call back or a person on the phone, I'm giving up. Although a 20-year client, I'm moving on. Finally managed to book an appointment on line,, which was confirmed, and the next day got a text saying the appointment was not available. Dropped to 2 stars because of poor scheduling. My wife and I were scheduled for 9am, and we had to wait until 10am.. When I asked the receptionist, she said we are scheduled for 10am. Which is untrue. We still have the note that says we are at 9am, we also got a voice message that confirmed we are at 9am. Everyone was friendly, courteous and professional. I was taken in on time, given a warm robe to make up for the indignities of having a mammogram and the tech was friendly and made an uncomfortable situation much more bearable. I rarely yelp, but I have to yelp about this. I have had to monitor tumor growth in my spine since 1999. So I have had more MRIs than anyone I know. I've had them at UCSF, peninsula hospitals, and other locations. Peninsula MRI provided the best service, the best atmosphere, and the best tech I've had. If you've had an MRI, you may remember how your elbows can start to ache after a while. Unlike the rest of your body, elbows get no padding and rest on cold plastic. At Peninsula MRI the tech provides custom-made elbow padding that makes the entire procedure more comfortable. Add the spa-like setting and you'll see that this is the ideal place to get your MRI--especially for those who are uncomfortable with the process. Jack P. read more

I've had three ultrasounds here. Two were with Dr Beth Kleiner who was great. She explained what was going on clearly and I really felt like I understood what was going on when I left. My ultrasounds were then available for me to view on a secure website, which was really convenient. The third ultrasound was with an Asian lady doctor and had me wishing I'd made sure my appointment was with Dr Kleiner. I told the doctor that it made my back hurt to lay on my back, but she insisted on it anyway. This resulted two days of back pain. The technician had been able to do scans with me laying on my side, but this doc wasn't as good as her tech I guess. She also told me the ultrasound results would be ready in a couple days, but two weeks later there was still nothing on the website. I tried contacting the clinic through the form on their website, but the Captcha image didn't show up so I couldn't actually submit my comments. I emailed the "Support" email listed on the results website, and they asked me to call the office. I called the office and the receptionist told me she'd upload the results and they'd be available within minutes, but several hours later that evening still no results. In short: Be sure to ask for the right doc. read more

This place should really be zero stars, period. The wait is horrible, the service is even worse and they can't do math. I had to wait forever to be seen. I saw a technician and not the doctor. When I asked to see the Dr. because I had some questions she was very upset to have to come in and was very rude and sarcastic. The billing was extremely dishonest. The called less then 24 hrs before the appointment saying I have to pay over $200 up front even though I have excellent insurance and the billing seemed to be already worked out. You get charged almost the same as if you didn't have insurance. I would not go back here if they paid me!
