But when you move to the other side there are a lot of local businesses selling their goods and I ended up buying a few things I never would have anticipated (dips, sauces, etc.). Parking is super convenient (and free, which is interesting with the fair going on parking in the same lot and paying for it). The vibe seems super local. At multiple points people told me the stall I was at was great, had great stuff, etc. And also at multiple points other patrons interacted with the vendors like friends. You can tell that these people go here weekly and support these small businesses/vice-versa, which is really nice to see.

My total came to $6.50, and with their $10 minimum for card purchases and no cash on hand, I was ready to walk away empty-handed. Instead, they handed me the tomatoes and refused to charge me this evening (I will go back tomorrow and pay them). Overall, I'd choose the Torrance location over Irvine based on this visit. The Irvine store just didn't have the selection, atmosphere, or value I've come to expect from Mitsuwa.

Because it gets so popular and busy, finding parking can still be a bit of a challenge. They are open every Saturday from 8:00am-12:00pm. Some of the vendors I can list off the top of my head include: Earth & Egg Farms (always a long line), Freshly Made (sells coffee, matcha - they also have delicious pastries at another booth close by). Without knowing all the vendors by name, they sell good-quality avocado oil, nut butters and jams, juicy fruits such as white peaches, grapefruits, oranges, farm-raised zucchini, fresh basil and parsley, and beautiful flower arrangements. There's also live music, which adds such a fun and lively atmosphere while you look around! When you get hungry, they sell very refreshing agua frescas, pupusas, galbi/chicken bowls, chocolate covered strawberries, fruits wrapped in mochi, freshly roasted peanuts, and more!

I was able to purchase the one thing my neighborhood Ralphs stopped carrying, but there was a trade-off - this Ralphs deli/cheese section didn't carry the variety of specific crackers I typically buy in my neighborhood.
