Starting with the not so great: - A downside to this particular place is that instead of choosing different scents to mix, they already have them pre-mixed. For example, champagne and clean linen scents are already combined, rather than letting you choose and mix them yourself. Since it's structured this way, it does speed up the process, but I will say there are still a few pre-mixed scents you can mix together that would probably turn out smelling great. - When I went to pick up my candle a few days later, I was disappointed to find that it was damaged. Not sure how it happened, but I was shocked when I unwrapped it to discover it was chipped. Even more disappointing was that the staff wrapped a damaged item without mentioning it to me. On the positive side: - It's BYO food and drinks, which we loved. My friends and I brought a bottle of prosecco, charcuterie, and quiche to enjoy. As you wait there is a small shop to browse, as well as photo opportunities. Once we understood what steps we needed to do then it was simple and they walked us through the quick instructions. We return in a few days to pick up our finished product.

The candle came in a hefty metal box that made sure it was secure during transport. The candle is elegant looking with it's matte, rough finish and simple decor. The pricing is on the higher end. I've burned it for an hour or so now. The scent isn't overwhelming, which is nice compared to other namebrand candles that you can only burn for minutes cause they're too strong. Relaxing because I was able to go at my own pace with the help of the knowledgeable staff to select up to 4-5 scents out of over 100 scents to add into my "pour your own experience" candle. Stressful because, how do I narrow down my selection of scents to use and what matches good with each other?! But I made it work. I think i found one of my favorite local spots for self-care time. The space is bright and welcoming, and smells amazing as soon as you walk in. It's perfect for a date night or small gathering. Plus, the candles are high quality with lots of different "vessels" to choose from that range in price value. Or fun thing to know, you can bring in your own vessel to use. One of my favorite parts was stirring up the candle to mix the scents to my liking, felt like a chemist without the labcoat though...goof times.
