The class is well taught with everything you need conveniently set out for you, and the instructor goes through each step along the way. They really make accomplishing things easy. What I thought would be difficult was really quite simple. We stuffed the snowflake wreath with cream cheese and raspberry jam, and we made homemade Nutella for the Babka. It was all very tasty and both were accomplished in three hours.

It's beautiful, it's oven safe, it's dishwasher safe, it's microwave safe, and ... have I mentioned that it's beautiful? Each and every piece is something that you'd want to use every day, but also use when you serve guests (and I can guarantee your guests will compliment you on your pottery). It's just lovely. I had a hard time picking out a piece to buy myself: At this store that's located in Carmel's City Center, there are platters, dishes, bakeware for muffins and loaves, pie plates, ornaments, tasting spoons and cups, mugs and more. And every single piece can be used in the microwave/dishwasher/oven. I love pretty things that you don't have to worry about ruining! This pottery is hearty and will last a long time, and the prices reflect that quality. For instance, the small quiche dish that I bought was around $35. But this truly is a piece of functional pottery that will last a lifetime, and can be passed on to others. Out of the Blue has been in Carmel about two years, and they typically have a booth at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt (although since the market won't be happening this year, they obviously won't be there). So this is the only store of its kind in Hamilton County. If you love beautiful pottery and baking/cooking in it, I suggest checking out this place.

I purchased a chef's knife for half of what it was listed at Williams Sonoma, and the staff was super helpful. They even suggested I try a less expensive knife, which seems like a good/honest thing a salesman can do. The prices are affordable, the place has a parking lot and is easy to find. Just go around and look at the various whisks and whips and paddles and ladles and pots and pans and knifes and spoons and stones and mortars and, well, you get the idea. I mean, I don't know for sure, but if a restaurant buys the stuff, it will probably hold up just fine in your kitchen. And they carry brands I knew. So don't spend more for the same.
