Both our subs were made correctly. The Reuben was ok. The sauerkraut was strong, probably b/c there was more of it than the corned beef. The veggie sub was good w/ all the grilled veggies. I hate posting this because I rarely ever leave negative reviews but this was just so bad. We walked in to order and you could just tell by the amount of people waiting for food and the attitudes of the employees it was going to be rough. We ordered, paid for our food, couldn't get a receipt because the manager walked away (at least we think she was the closing manager by how she was talking to others), and we sat down and waited. And waited. And other people came in and ordered and got their food and left. And we ended up waiting 30 minutes. 5 minutes or so before ours were ready (only 1 other person in the restaurant at this point, who ordered 5-10 minutes after us) got his food and yes, another CUSTOMER apologized to us for getting his food before us. We ordered 3 sandwiches and an order of fries- nothing crazy. While we were waiting there was a lot of tension between the employees, they were yelling back and forth at each other across the restaurant making us even more uncomfortable. Who I believed the manager was on the grill cooking, and she was listening to music and employees kept having to come up to her to get her attention to ask questions because she was listening to music and couldn't hear them. They were all very focused on doing end of day closing checklist (2 hours before closing) that they weren't paying any attention to customers in there or helping out making food so we could leave. At one point the manager was talking to another employee across the front area about getting her "a** beat" as a kid if she didn't wash dishes correctly, while they were talking about closing and trying to leave early. To say I was uncomfortable the entire time is the understatement of the century and honestly I don't think you could pay me to go back it was that bad. Once they handed us our food, we couldn't leave quick enough. I guess I would say if you don't need/have to go there, I wouldn't. We will not be returning, and if I could give it zero stars I definitely would. read more

We ordered a couple of subs and a large fry tonight. This is the second time we ordered a large fry to share with our family and they don't fill it to the top. For as expensive as this food is, they should fill the fry's to the top of the cup. Refer to the attached image. I shouldn't have to watch the worker fill our fry's up correctly. Rude service and probably one of the dirtiest restaurants you can go into. We had to clean our own table to have a place to sit and eat. The guy taking the order seemed like he didn't want to be there and annoyed about everything. I think his name is Grayden C., at least that's the name on the receipt. Just a total wreck of a restaurant. Listening to them call out names as orders were complete was painful to hear, not one thank you or you're welcome. We had not been to Penn Station in a long time until recently. Last year, we went to a shop in Dayton and I was favorably impressed with their offerings. It clearly was not just another cloned sub shop. It distinguishes itself nicely from the rest. This location is on the western edge of the commercial cluster off I-75 at the Main St. exit nestled in a small strip plaza. We were looking for a quick lunch and we knew this exit offered plenty of choices. This place would have been easy to miss if we had not ventured far enough down Main. This shop had plenty of seating and the service was good. The thing that sets Penn Station apart from other similar sub/sandwich shops is the offering of fries. And their fries are great. For sandwiches, my wife chose the Turkey Avocado sandwich and I opted for the Chicken Teriyaki Wrap. We split the fries. It was quite the satisfying lunch. The bill for our food, drinks (ice tea and water) and tax was $24.03. At basically $12 per person, the value was quite reasonable. My wife was even able to take home half of her sandwich. I will look forward to our next visit to a Penn Station. read more

Went here with my wife. We ordered 2 sandwiches and a fries to share. Her sandwich comes out and after a while I go up to ask where mine is. Well my sandwich and the fries are nowhere to be found and the three people working just stand there. I told them if they are clearly not going to make my food I want a refund. They work on that and I want to speak to the manager. Talked to the "assistant GM" John. He shrugged his shoulders and walked away when I told him what happened. My wife ate her sandwich and said it sucked. The place is dirty now and the service is obviously one of the worse places I've ever been. I'll never go back here. Went to Penn Station in Troy, Ohio Saturday around 3pm. The Staff is so awful! They are mean and angry like everything is your fault and very aggressive to everyone who walks in. In fact, they are so bad; that my kids, husband and friends won't even go with me. I ordered 2 sandwiches and a large fry. They didn't give me the fry and when I asked where it was, the girl spoke to me in a very snide way saying, "You didn't order a fry!" I replied back, "I absolutely did." I couldn't believe how that girl spoke to me! Then it got weird. The girl walked away without talking to me, walked back to the register and stood their and looked at her manager. I then heard the Manager say to the girl, "Charge her for a fry, I guess." No apology at all from either women/staff, and the girl just kept standing there behind the register and continued to stare at me, never spoke a word. This went on for over 2-3 minutes, so odd; until I got up and walked over to her. She still never spoke to me. The price just came up $6 dollars on the register and she walked away while I paid with my credit card. 5 minutes later she handed me the fry and I walked out. STILL No Apology. I left a comment under their stores feedback through their website today at 9am in hope that they would stop treating customers so badly and get a wake up call. However, at 5pm I got a nasty call today from (Manager of Penn Station in Troy) Allison, claiming to be the Manager telling me off. She scolded me for minutes on the phone, like a bad child, telling me I had a nerve to expect a free fry. That was NEVER the POINT! The whole staff is angry, aggressive, and nasty to everyone. They treat customers like scum! They talk in front of you to each other and ignore customers waiting for orders or simply waiting to pay, who are right in front of them, and they are aggressively mean when you ask for something. The only reason I left a review was for other customers to not suffer from ill treatment, any longer. Allison never apologized during her nasty call to me and huffed and puffed on the phone like a bully not getting their way at school. I told her she didn't hear what I had said in my review/comments, or now on the phone: "You can't treat customers badly, its WRONG and when you mess up an order say sorry, I never heard one once! I told her she was wasting my time and didn't get it. I hung up and called corporate telling them what she did Saturday and today! Who calls customers to harass them? What was she expecting to get from that? Totally insane! I hope corporate takes my complaint seriously and does something so customers who walk into Troy's Penn Station are not treated like crap anymore or are HARRASED if they speak up against ill treatment from this so called Manager (Bully)! Picked up a sub and fries tonight, really disappointed. Cheesesteak sub had almost no meat, had to search for it to tuck under bread. No way I am going back here. Employees had no masks and were not following social distancing protocols. Do not go here if you have any risk factors or live with those who do. I was the only customer in the place that had on a mask, and none but myself and another practiced appropriate distancing before being given numbers to wait in our cars. Listen the food is good as it always is, but this particular location has lost it's quality of employees. I've been coming here for more than 15 years and I have always enjoyed the staff. There must have been a complete changeover in staff because I don't recognize the faces anymore but I've been here 4 times in the past two months and I'm telling you I'll take my PS business to the next town over because this staff is rude, they don't pay attention to orders, and they are very unpleasant to be around. The special of the month was the Philadelphia Cheesesteak with fries and a drink. With being here before I knew the sandwich would come out extremely hot, and so do the fries since the are basically cooked when you order. The meal was wonderful, exactly what I ordered and delivered in a few minutes. I usually order to go and the sandwich is wrapped allowing the juices to soak into the bread. I think I like it that way just a little better, but eating in the restaurant you get extremely hot fries. read more

My first time visiting this place, because I hate Subways anymore. I had the Reuben sub and my wife had the Italian sub. Excellent food, love the toasted bread and it was in good portions to the meats / toppings inside. It was more then we expected taste wise and the fries, cut fresh on a potato cutter before being fried.... you cant get any fresher then that. To boot we ordered a large fry and that could have been a meal in itself. We went ahead and got a lemonade as well (super sour) which was good, but if doing take out, skip the cost of the drinks. Just tried the Penn Station in Troy for the first time and was very disappointed. I took one look at my sandwich and it hardly had any meat in it. I politely went up and asked if there should be more meat on it than this. They responded rudely to me and said "no that's how much it comes with." They didn't even look at the sandwich I showed them. They also charged a woman in front me for a French fry that she didn't ask for.
