What a great old diner that has a great vibe. Food was good (nothing fancy or over the top) just good tasting food at a good price. Clientele was primarily older (retired) but still saw younger couples as well. Our waitress was nothing fancy but she got the job done and checked in on us a couple of times. I love finding old "hole in the wall" places and this is one we will hit again when we drive by. Not much in the gluten free realm, so keep that in mind. We will be back. We just had a very peculiar experience at this restaurant. First timers & we were excited to experience good home cooked food. The tip from the previous diners was on the table & when the waitress came over I jokingly said 'I almost took your tip!' It was a joke & she 'not funny' as she walked by. It was a joke & when she came back to take our order she said 'we work hard for our money.' I said 'I work hard for my money too.' She then said 'I am only here to take your order.' My husband said 'it was just a joke.' Then the waitress said ' I will get someone else to wait on you.' At that, we left. We did breakfast here before we rode Tour de Donut in Troy. It's a great, quick breakfast place. Everything we had was very good. Omelet and hash browns was cooked as it should be and went down fast. My granddaughter had a 'Mickey Mouse' pancake and fruit bowl. It was all very good, fruit was fresh and yummy. They also serve lunch and dinner, menu attached. We were turned away from Bob Evans in Tipp City and decided to try Lincoln Square, which for some strange reason we haven't been to in a long time. The parking lot was full and there were a few people in line to be seated so we expected to be told it would be a long wait for a table (or food). Nope. We were seated within 5 minutes and the host who seated us took our drink order immediately. Our drinks came quickly and within a few minutes the server came to get our order. Before our drinks could get past the 1/2 way point, fresh ones were delivered and our food came within 10 minutes of placing our order. We had a French toast platter with eggs over easy and bacon and a waffle platter also with eggs over easy and sausage patties. Everything was perfectly prepared, hot and delicious. In these times we have seen many restaurants succumb to the "staffing dilemma" and too many seem unwilling or unable to pick up the slack and stay organized. Lincoln Square continues to run like a well-oiled machine with managers or owners jumping in to serve as host, server or whatever is needed in the moment.
