Our milkshake came to us in a standard plastic take out cup with a domed lid, nothing else special. Braums is better. Waitress did not ask if I wanted a salad or a vegetable with my meal, she just gave me the canned green beans with bacon in them. If you want good food that is made there, go to Jimmies Diner or Riverside Cafe in Wichita. I ordered a chicken sandwich to go. They said ten minutes, twenty five minutes later I have a tasteless dry piece of chicken with the tomato I didn't want and without the cheese that I did want. If I could give zero stars for this location I 100% would. To start off the server was completely rude and made smart remarks as well as giving glares and attitude to my family. It looked like a cute mom and pop shop which I am totally for, but this was not the one. The prices aren't reasonable for what they give you. The food tastes average for what you can get cheaper at nicer locations and a better atmosphere. There's flies all over this place it's honestly sticky and disgusting. They don't give you a full price list so I feel as if they are overcharging you when you pay for your bill. If you eat here make sure you aren't getting overcharged and bring hand sanitizer or wipes with you because it's obvious they don't clean it. read more

It's not very often I give a place 1 star, but this was it. I ordered a frisco burger and the meat was an over cooked piece of shoe leather. The sourdough bread it was on, I couldn't even cut. All together, it was so dry it got hung up in my esophagus and I had to run out because I thought I might barf. Not a pleasant experience. Not to mention all the flies buzzing around! We ordered some onion rings as an appetizer and were shocked when the waitress put them on the table and they were burnt to a crisp. The service is horrible (probably because no waitress has worked there longer than 2 weeks). The tables are rarely wiped down, and the floor is never swept. The last time I went in, I had to wait 20 minutes for my fries. When I got them they were frozen solid, so another 30 mintues later I finally got them. They were soggy, but at least this time they were cooked. To their credit they did give me my meal for free for my trouble. The food is so expensive for what you get. Happened on this slice of Americana by accident but glad I did. It is a small diner with the classic diner look inside and out. It is a clean, cozy, and friendly atmosphere. I had a hamburger that was served with home made chips. The hamburger was hand made and grilled before our eyes. It was sizeable and juicy. The chips were made to order and were very good as well. My wife had a BLT which she raved about. We capped it off with a yummy chocolate milkshake. Menu is limited to sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfast items. What used to be a quaint little diner to grab a bite to eat has been destroyed by rude employees and dismal customer service. Stood patiently by the door for probably 10 minutes while the server wandered around and took care of something here or there. Not in any rush for sure. Neither the server, Kristen, or the cook greeted us, spoke to us, or so much as made eye contact. Another couple walked in and sat at the counter, 2 women walked in about 8 minutes after us. When the server finally decided to clear a couple of tables the women edged their way over like they were going to sit down before us. The server took the dishes off of our table, then returned with a cloth to clear the other table for the women, wipe it down and take their drink orders before coming back to our table. She then proceeded to wipe half of the crumbs onto the floor and the other half into my daughter's lap. She then walked away, and didn't return. She brought the women their drinks and silverware, and I believe even took their order. She got the drink orders from the couple at the counter, then went to clear tables on the other side of the restaurant. All while we were still sitting there and waiting. We were never once spoken to, or even made eye contact with. So we walked out. My Mom went back to find out their names and Kristen walked past her 3 times before my Mom finally just got the cook's attention and asked. I guess customer service doesn't matter. read more
