He answered all my questions and was very quick to respond. He communicated with me regularly through the entire process, as well as with insurance and even the rental company to extend my rental. He ensured everything was moving along as fast as possible. The car was repaired and retuned to new condition using new genuine Audi parts. Highly recommend. We brought our brand-new pickup truck here after a rear-end collision that, from our perspective, appeared to be relatively minor. We understand that additional damage can sometimes be discovered once a vehicle is dismantled, and there may have been parts or supply-chain issues. However, we were extremely surprised that what appeared to be a minor accident ultimately kept our truck in the shop for more than a month, with no clear delivery date for much of that time. That said, the quality of their work is outstanding. We have trusted this shop with our vehicles for years, even before it became Penske Collision, and we have always had confidence in the workmanship. The repair itself was good. Our biggest disappointment was the communication and the extremely lengthy turnaround time. We are still somewhat confused as to why such a seemingly minor collision required more than a month to complete. If you bring your vehicle here, know that the workmanship is excellent, but be prepared to potentially be without your vehicle for weeks... or even longer... with an uncertain completion date. read more

Value is unknown as I selected because they use manufactured parts. The office atmosphere in general feels stressful and a little tense. There is no music playing for those who are waiting. Had my bmw serviced for a dent under the other party's insurance. Initial interaction was good until I picked up the car. I noticed that my speakers were cracking and had a lot of static. I drove back to penske to let them know and they claimed that the car was already like that when they took it in and gave the impression they did not want to help. So when i got home i opened the compartment where the sound amplifier was and it was flooded with water. I figured that before they handed the car to me they washed it and water got inside of the amplifier causing distortion in the speaker. Additionally, when I returned home and reviewed where the damaged panel had been repaired i can still see the dent. It's not dramatic but you can still see it. I expected a higher quality experience since penske is a dealership collision center for bmw. And they were definitely trying to milk the insurance money from the other party because i got 2 quotes. The first estimate was significantly less than the final one. At least I didn't have to pay out of my pocket but if i did, I would have definitely escalated the issue. read more

About a couple months ago I was rear ended at a stop light, I called multiple shops to have my car fixed. No one answered my questions as well as their (Penske's) receptionist girl did, for a receptionist she is really truly informative, efficient, sweet, and patient. Was able to schedule my car in the next day. I took my vehicle in for the repairs and was having a hard time contacting the other parties insurance, but Matt was the one in charge of fixing my vehicle and did such a great job keeping me informed throughout the whole process. The days he said he would call, HE WOULD! Never once did I have to call him! He was also able to handle the negotiation process of certain parts my car still needed and got them fully covered. Never once did I feel like I was getting scammed. They detailed my car and it looks brand new, like nothing ever happened. I originally left Penske a negative review, due to a perceived quality issue on a repair I had performed on my BMW, after it was rear ended. Essentially, the edges on the bumper cover sensor holes were jagged. In response to that review, Heidi called and emailed me directly. She explained what issues I may have inadvertently attributed to them, and acknowledged my genuine concerns about the workmanship. The issue was relatively minor, and could only be seen when close to the vehicle. She was adamant that I bring the vehicle back in, and they'd pay the cost of a rental. I turned the offer down, as the inconvenience of having to go through the ordeal is a hassle, but I appreciated the gesture. In my initial review, and in my own ignorance, I didn't include the work that must be performed behind the scenes, on behalf of myself, in sorting out a repair such as this with the insurance company. The fact that they were so forthcoming, fair, and willing to stand behind their work speaks volumes about the quality of this business. He works is my wife's service advisor and what makes him great is I don't need to get involved with this car. We have been together for 25 years and this is the only car we have had that she does not mind calling and working with Eric. He is a class act and makes owning a BMW even better than driving one. We just had our car repaired for the 2nd time in 3 months at Penske Collision in Escondido. The first time someone rear ended our car while we were in it. We got it back in perfect condition and 2 weeks later our neighbor backed in to the side of our car parked in front of our house. This time, we weren't in the car. Both times we worked with Heidi Howie. She was professional, knowledgeable, very efficient and truly helped us every step along the way. Including making sure we received all new factory parts and even helped with the rental car. We could tell Heidi was a pro and had been doing her job for a long time. Both times we got the car back when she said we would, and the car literally looked new. My car is a BMW M235i and the paint color is mineral white metallic, I had to get my bumper replaced and painted to match. When I got my car back, I had no idea anyone ever crashed into me.. The paint job looked phenomenal, and you couldn't even tell if it was the original from the factory or not! Not only did they do a wonderful job matching my paint color, but they also did a full detail. When I picked up my car I noticed even in the little spots (like wedged inside the door panels) where it gathers a lot of dirt and dust, it's completely spotless. My car feels brand new and even smells brand new, just like the day I brought it off the lot! They even leather conditioned the steering wheel and seats. Having your car repaired is not one of the most fun things in life, but Derek at Brecht Collission Center made the process a pleasure! Our car was rear-ended. Brecht gave a competitive bid to repair the rear bumper. While waiting to take it in for the appointment, the headliner of the car failed, so we asked them to address that too. And then while the car was there they noticed the service indicator indicated the car needed new cabin filters, so we asked for that service to be completed as well. Derek then told me when I picked up the car that the filters were like new and the last person to replace them had not reset the indicator - what an honest guy! We are happy campers. The color match was perfect, the repair was perfect and they even used some of the extra paint to touch up some chips in the paint on the front of the car. All in all, a great experience. read more

A neighbor backed into my 2014 BMW 535i a couple of weeks ago and punched a hole in the bumper. Thankfully, he has very good insurance (USAA), but even then this may not have been enough to prevent me from having a huge hassle to mitigate. Thankfully, I read glowing online customer reviews about Brecht Collision Center and made the right choice to take my car there to obtain one of two estimates. Derek was in communication with me throughout the process, following up with me after he had completed the estimate. Though the quote from Brecht was the slightly higher of the two, the follow-through from Derek demonstrated thoroughness and dedication, which in turn convinced me to go with Brecht. He ended up handling all of the details, including obtaining a supplemental payment from the insurance company to cover a genuine BMW replacement bumper that will not detract from the resale value of the car. Everything looks great, and the entire process was finished in three days, with minimal involvement and worrying required of me. I am hoping not to require further services from Derek, but if anything happens to my car in the future, rest assured that the first and possibly only call will be to Derek to make me whole again. I had purchased some OEM side skirts, front lip spoiler, trunk spoiler, and window spoiler from BMW of El Cajon. I wanted these parts painted to color match my F30 M Sport and installed on the vehicle. However, they didn't have a body shop. They had referred me to a well known non BMW body shop in Santee. I admit that this referral place looked very classy and professional. But, with them being so famous, came a very high price tag. So I decided to call all BMW dealerships to see which one had a body shop and could do the work for me at a reasonable price.. This is where I found Brecht Collision Center. Upon my first call, I knew this was where I was going to take my car. The receptionist, Marissa Chamberlain, was very kind, pleasant to deal with, and knowledgeable. After a brief explanation of the things I wanted done, she referred me to her boss De Ana Shilling, the Operations Manager. De Ana was another very pleasant, knowledgeable, professional person to deal with. Over the phone, De Ana took all the part numbers of the items that I needed painted and installed to give me an estimate. In less than 24 hours, De Ana had emailed me a detailed estimate and gave me a follow up phone call. Hooray!!! This estimate was less than this famous shop in Santee. This just sealed the deal for me to take my car here. This shop has it all..... Awesome Customer Service, Very Professional, Great Quality workmanship, and very reasonable pricing. If you need an awesome body shop for your BMW, or any other vehicle, do not hesitate to give them a call or visit. They are in Escondido, but worth the drive. You dont hear from them for 5 days, and when you call, they act as if your bothering them. If they worked for me in my customer service dept , they would be let go. I have bought 4 cars from Brecht , and figured who better to repair a Beemer that Brecht, I will not recomend this place to anyone, Funny, you get good service and you go about your day. However you get bad service and you tell everyone on YELP !! I always have tried not to be a hight maint customer to anyone. This place is absurd, avoid these clowns if at all possible.
