I had a great experience in People Optical. My eye exam was informative and surprisingly fun. I purchased a pair of sunglasses because my vision did not require new glasses atm and Joon walked me through the process of how they were going to help me get reimbursed for them through my insurance. (They were out of network for my insurance). He also offered to fill out and turn in the paperwork for ny insurance reimbursement request so I didn't have to worry about whether or not I was doing it correctly. When I chose my frames, Joon also took the time to adjust the nose pads and the legs of the glasses so that it fit comfortably and checked to make sure that it both looked and felt great. It was an overall pleasant experience and I found myself recommending the place to my coworkers whenever they asked about my cute frames! read more

I randomly walked into People Optical to see if they would be able to fix my sunglasses as a screw fell out and it needed to be replaced. It was so amazing how James and Justin promptly greeted me and asked how they could help me. Not only were they able to replace the screw and fix my sunglasses, after putting it on, it fit even better than when I first bought it! What surprised me even more, was that they wouldn't take payment, saying their service was what they do for their customers! Fantastic service! Sam was very sweet, polite, patient and very helpful throughout the whole process. He even gave me 10% off, waived taxes on my frame and even worked with my insurance so I could get reimbursement. Picked up my glasses and was helped by John who was very polite, sweet and helpful. I found this place accidentally right at the moment I needed to switch the service out of another one in ten years. John is the main optician over there, but every employee were polite & helpful. Their service, knowledge, pricing & selection are always amazing. I will not go anywhere else though it's kind of a little far from where I live (10 miles away) but totally worth it. Amazing selection of glasses and sunglasses! I went in to get a pair of new glasses because I lost mine. I saw the optometrist first and she was very nice, professional, and quick. The owner helped me pick out the perfect pair of glasses. I was going for a cheap pair, but OF COURSE I ended up falling in love with a pricey pair. The best, the nicest place around. Fast and excellent service, quick turnaround when ordering your eyeglass lenses with new prescription. I needed to have an exam and a pair of glasses in one visit. I checked Yelp and this was the place. I can add my own 5 star rating. I came in 20 minutes before the appointment and looked at and tried on glasses. Then I had the appointment and then tried on more glasses. I finally decided on the frames. The glasses were ready in half an hour. Then a few minutes fitting the glasses. Done. I can see. The glasses are nice and the price is competitive, I think. read more

I was a customer at a glassware store in Roland Hill for the past 9 year. I had new pair of glasses almost every year. I live in Irvine and decide to shop my glasses local. Costco has the best rating in Consumer Report at low discount price. I tried Costco at technology drive first. The progressive glasses I want cost $200 in Costco. But Costco can't install on my designer frame. Basically it installs the glasses on frames they sell. Which is limited selection and on the low end. I saw the good review on people optical and decided to try it. I went in the first time and John (very helpful) quoted me $600 for a German lens, zeiss. I used to get Seiko lens and don't familiar with the zeiss. I got out and kept on shopping in the local. People optical offers the lowest price so far. But how is the quality of the brand and the price compare to on-line glasses seller? I did research on the glasses on the web. I realize Zeiss is the best quality lens in the world. I came by people optical second time today. I asked what type of progressive zeiss lens they quoted me. It is the highest end of the zeiss lens with transitions. I immediately check it out on the on-line sites. People optical sells less with the same product than on-line store. I bought it right away. Manager Jake helps me to make sure the lens on the frame fit me. I stayed with him almost an hour. You don't get this treatment unless they are good in customer satisfaction. read more
