Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 am in Palolo.
Great veggie volume in each bag, fresh and generous. I actually think that here, you'll get more stuff for the $2 or $3 you give, than you'll receive at the next People's Open Market on Wednesday at 8:15, staffed by the same farmers, by Mo'ili'ili's Old Stadium Park, but that's probably my imagination.
Only thing wrong: not that many kale vendors. The sole merchant that sells it, tends to overprice, as a result. But for all other veggies, good quality and price.
Not that hard to find parking, at that hour, but traffic tends to speed by on busy Palolo Ave., so walk and park with care. You can't park in the parking lot itself, as it's cordoned off.
From the website (LOVE the flashlight detail):
* The open market is held in the Palolo Avenue parking lot. Parking is available on-street or in the recreation center's Kiwii Avenue parking lot near the intersection Kiwii Avenue and Palolo Avenue.
* To get to the Palolo POM from Waialae Avenue, drive Mauka on Palolo Avenue. The POM is on the right, just past Jarrett Intermediate School. There is on street parking. Early shoppers may park in the Jarrett Intemediate School parking lot. It helps to have a flashlight during the Winter months. read more
