Cute little coffee shop hidden in Bay Ridge towards the Verrazanno Bridge. I stopped by trying to get a paper done before the week ended. Limited seating, not sure if they had wifi, and didn't see any outlets, so I'm not sure if it is a suitable place to do work but worked out for me. Good selection of lovely pastries to choose from. I enjoyed their pistachio crossiant, which had just enough sweetness to my liking.

This bakery is now my go to for almond croissants. They make them huge and they only price them at $3.75 for one. I love the almond paste inside. It was sweet yet not too sweet that you need to drink milk with it. If you are around here, drop by and grab a couple. You will thank me.

It was my first time here today, and although they don't offer indoor seating, it's super cute inside. The server was friendly. I ordered a vanilla latte and a pistachio eclair, which ran me a little over $10. I usually don't order coffee out unless it's to die for, and after reading the reviews I was really excited to try this place out. I was disappointed. The latte was nothing special and tasted a bit watered down...the eclair didn't taste fresh and it was incredibly small and overpriced. Did not have a lot of filling and tasted more stale than it did like pistachios. Might give this place one more shot because of its convenience on my way to work, but otherwise unimpressed overall.

I have been meaning to stop in to PEP when it opened a year ago. Since giving up bread I have delayed my visit. Last Saturday was officially my first time entering this cute bakery to purchase a cake for my boss who came back last week from maternity leave. Upon entering, I felt a European vibe, as if entering a charming bakery in Vienna. There are a few tables to sit and enjoy the delicious varieties of coffees and desserts. I was in a mission to pick the cake... Big decision.. what kind of cake? The display case housed beautiful cakes.. Sacher Torte.. flashback to my trip to Vienna. PEPs version has raspberry instead of the Vienna classic flavor; apricot. I passed on this cake because I wasn't sure if my boss and colleagues would enjoy it. Thus,I chose the safe bet: Chocolate Coffee Cake. A concoction of chocolate mousse, white chocolate and chocolate crunch inside. The cake is decorated with chocolate Grenache atop and cookies on the side. The attendant packaged it in a brown box with cute PEP sticker. I was in a rush to get to work thus didn't take pics of place but will come back. *PS cake was delicious, tasted like Tiramisu.

I was looking for a good local coffee shop within walking distance of where I'm staying and Pep seem to fit the bill. It is a tiny little hole in the wall of a place But super cute with a small but beautiful selection of pastries. I ordered a cherry almond croissant and a chai latte. I was super happy with both. The croissant was beautiful and flaky with the perfect amount of filling. My chai was good if a tad sweet. I would definitely come back to try some more of their pastry selections.

I'm so happy to have a french bakery in such a close proximity to my home. Fresh baked goods. Delicious coffee and hot chocolate. Great customer service. What else can I ask for? Great cute place to sit and relax while drinking your coffee. Very cozy.

I've been here often and the pastries are delicious. The bistro is great, it's a savory pastry. My favorite is the almond croissant.

As a coffee lover, I can say this latte definitely did not disappoint! The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was really inviting. It's a small coffee shop with some outdoor seating, which adds to its charm. Inside, they offer pastries from bakeries like Balthazar, and they even have a cool cold brew machine. I live in Stony Brook so when the stars are aligned and there is no traffic on the Belt I can order a great cuppa coffee before work. I park across the street and was the first one in the small establishment. I see two gents hustling behind the counter and zero in on the baked goods. I'm not understanding the spiced lattes but after a few times, I'll try the Cardamom latte but for now I'm sticking with a Flat White and a freshly baked croissant. The flat white I ordered? Perfecto. If a good cup of coffee costs the same as a chain coffee slop they serve to the masses, I'll take a well crafted coffee from Clockface Coffee to start my day. Hopefully, if the traffic is light on the Belt Parkway, I can stop by in the morning. I grew up in Canarsie but all the great local places I keep finding by the job, Bay Ridge rocks!

It looks like this is a brand-new place on Grubhub. I'm…read morealways willing to support a local small business, but I also leave honest reviews so other customers know what to expect. I ordered avocado toast with eggs and a pastry. The only real positive was the bread itself, which was fresh, large, and actually tasted good. Unfortunately, that is where the positives ended. Although the avocado seemed less generic than standard store-bought guacamole, the taste was not good. The eggs were terrible -- they looked very unappetizing, tasted awful, and appeared nothing like the photo shown on Grubhub. The same photo also showed a small side salad, but no salad was included. I requested chili oil, and that was missing as well. The added cheese had virtually no flavor, so overall the dish felt careless, incomplete, and extremely unsatisfactory. I also checked the box requesting utensils, but no utensils or napkins were included. However, to be clear, this review is not about forgotten utensils. It is about the overall lack of quality, attention to detail, and customer care. The pastry was another culinary failure. It was sold under the French name -"Pan Au Raisin" but it was nothing like what real "Pain Aux Raisins " supposed to be, it was bland, greasy, oily and missing the traditional custard base plus it was delivered in an undersized paper envelope that left the food exposed, a clear violation of basic sanitary standards for food transport. Most importantly, this order caused me stomach pain and GI upset. This was the only food I had eaten in a 24-hour period, and more than 24 hours later I still felt unwell. The owner's reply to my original review was patronizing, dismissive, and refused to take any real accountability. Instead of addressing the food quality issues, the missing items, the poor packaging, and the physical reaction I had to the order, the response tried to reduce the entire problem to utensils and push the conversation into private email. I am keeping this public so other customers can make an informed decision. I wanted to support a new local business, but the bad taste, poor execution, misleading presentation, lack of care, and dismissive management made that impossible. Based on this experience, I would not order again and would not recommend this place to friends or family.
