I WALKED OUT! TLDR: Ron is inexcusably rude, and apparently well-known amongst other Pep Boys locations to be notoriously terrible towards customers. -- UPDATE 1: You'll see Pep Boys commented on this review asking me to reach out with my contact information, which I did on 7/26/25. In addition, I had already reached out to their Customer Relations immediately after posting this review on 7/25/25, which an employee asked for my contact information (and I provided it 5 minutes later). As of 7/28/25, I have not yet heard back from either Pep Boys Customer Relations associates. UPDATE 2: I've been in email contact with a Pep Boys support member (Leah), as instructed by Pep Boys' response. The email I received today (8/19/25), despite never talking to anyone else about this issue, is "the matter was previously reviewed and addressed directly with [me] in person." Leah told me, "[my] comments and concerns were noted and someone should be reaching out to [me] within 5 - 7 business days," which never happened. I have yet to have anyone reach out to me other than Leah's generic, scripted corporate responses. This business has lost its mind. -- I scheduled my Lyft inspection through Pep Boys' website directly for 5:00p on 7/25/25. As I arrived, their garage entrances each have different labels ("Brakes", "Oil Change", etc.). I asked a mechanic inside which lane I should use, and they oddly enough instructed me to park in the handicap spot towards the front door and speak with the attendant. As I walked in, all the employees (no joke) gave me the stinkiest side eye I've ever received as they darted glances at where I parked. I quickly explained I was instructed to park where I had. I spoke with Ron about my appointment, which admittedly, was 5:08p at this point. Ron told me, "I stop doing those at 3:00 'cus they take a long time." I explained how their website allowed me to schedule the time I selected, and he simply glared at me while reaching for a form behind him. Ron was visibly irritated at me coming in, and frankly, I don't know why. He used a form that did not look like the official one provided by Lyft, and asked me for my mileage. I said, "about 22,000, I can get you an exact mileage in a second" as I pulled out my phone. Ron then proceeded to write 26,7... (weird, since I didn't give a specific mileage, but Ron was fully ready to lie on my form)... when I stopped him. "No, about 22,000" I corrected. Ron stared at me wide-eyed (I'm not exaggerating here) and threw the form in the trash without losing eye contact. As Ron was grabbing another form, I proceeded to begin opening my car's app. He started writing 22,... as I stared at my phone, as I said "ok, it's 21,744 miles". Ron again gave me a death stare, as I just said, "that's fine, yeah, about 22,000." This wasn't sufficient for Ron, as he threw this form away as well. At this point, I walked out. Ron clearly couldn't be bothered to do his job, and I certainly didn't want him anywhere near my car. To add insult to injury, they looked up my appointment and cancelled it as I sat in my car, as I received a "Sorry you couldn't make your service appointment with us" message. I ended up visiting the next closest Pep Boys location, where I began to explain what had happened at the Kirk Road location. They immediately stopped me and asked, "larger-set guy?" I said "yeah, you know who I'm talking about?" The employee said, "Yeah, that's Ron. He gives all the other Pep Boys locations a bad name." According to this employee, Ron is allegedly the store manager for the Kirk Road location, so I'm sure nothing will happen based on my experience. The employee also mentioned they consistently have customers migrating from the Kirk Road location due to having similar experiences to mine. That's the thing, my experience was so bad at the Kirk Road location, I took the time to write this entire review. That should say something. Do NOT let Ron at the Kirk Road Pep Boys anywhere near your car. If he doesn't want to do his job, he certainly doesn't want to take care of your vehicle.

Brett and Mike Waid did an excellent job on diagnosing a problem on my f150. It was a fuel pump…read morerelay module and I just read how that problem has caused many headaches $ for mechanics and car owners because many times they'll put a new fuel pump in then 2 days later this issue pops up. When this module starts to go bad it will Intermittently work before it totally goes. If you think Belle tires is only about tires, brakes and oil changes, you're sadly mistaken they're a fully equipped garage with qualified experienced mechanics. I will definitely go back to Belle tire in Montgomery il for any problems in the future

If I could give this Belle Tire location zero stars, I would. Absolutely pathetic customer service…read moreand management. I made a 12:00 PM appointment specifically for an alignment. The GM, Bob, personally checked me in, so there should have been absolutely no confusion that I had an appointment and was waiting for my vehicle. I then sat there for TWO HOURS, watching customers who arrived after me get serviced while nobody bothered to give me a single update. Bob, the GM who checked me in, never once came over to explain what was happening or why my car hadn't been serviced. Eventually, I had to go ask for a status myself. Another technician--not Bob--finally looked into it and told me I had somehow been marked as a "drop-off." How does the GM personally check in a waiting customer with a scheduled appointment and then have that customer entered as a drop-off? After wasting two hours of my day, they finally told me they couldn't perform the alignment because of wear on one tire. It took TWO HOURS to determine that? If the tire prevented the alignment, someone should have inspected it shortly after my noon appointment and told me immediately. The most unacceptable part is the complete lack of communication and accountability from the GM. Based on my experience, Bob's handling of this was completely incompetent. A general manager should be making sure customers are taken care of, not checking them in and then apparently forgetting they exist while people who arrived later are serviced. Belle Tire management should seriously evaluate whether Bob should be running this location because service like this does nothing but hurt the business and drive customers away. They certainly lost my business. Unprofessional. Disorganized. Incompetent management. Two hours completely wasted. I would NEVER recommend this location.

I have been waiting to put this post up to see if this…read morecompany would do the right thing.I brought my truck here because one of my rims was damaged. I was going to replace it. The owner's son told me that he could pretty much fix all of my rims because they weren't damaged that bad. He said powder coating is the best option for you. I told him, okay. I brought my truck back to get my rims taken off, he had my rims for about three weeks He told me it should take 3 to 5 days. After about 2 weeks of not hearing anything, he texted me, stating that the rims were Chrome, and I need to give him more money. He already knew the rims were chrome because he welded one of them before he sent it out to powder Coat. He charge me 180 more than original invoice. I went to his shop a week later to pick up my rims. It was dark outside at this time. Brought my truck home parked. It woke up in the morning to get it washed. And then I seen the damage that this company created the powder coating was not professional at all. They were had cracks all over the rims. The powder coat was less than a needle head thin it is supposed to be a cran Tip thickness. I am in the process of a lawsuit. It is going to trial soon. I know I will win in court. But the thing is, they are not doing the right thing, and lying about everything well, I gave them multiple Outcomes that I would have been happy with, and all they want to do is damage my rims more. With powder coating, after doing research with Chrome rims, it destroys them. Pretty much you have to dip the chrome in acid or sandblast watch having chrome, you want to shine, and they damaged all of them.Remember, I was just going in for 1 rim and left with all destroyed!!! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE OR TRUST THIS FAMILY!!!!!!
