Don't get quotes and definitely don't get tires from here. They're pricing is ridiculous, I got tires from here and they were out an under a year. They marked my mileage down 30k less telling me that I had 59k when I got my tires when I had over 79k I'm at 87k with balled tired, but the numbers they are quoting is were my car was when I bought it in 2019 so I'm floored at the dishonesty and out right lack of care when they are wrong. I had full inspection on my car at the dealer and now these ppl quote me 1900 for another service and was not even aware of services I had and have not had there. Went to pep boys on a Saturday afternoon to check a tire running low. They were able to check my tires, repair the one that caught a nail, and got me on my way. Price was reasonable. A customer before me was complimenting them for helping her out. Car issues are unexpected and stressful. Ordered 4 tires told they would be 2 days, called in 2 days to be told the tires did not arrive, and it would be another 4 days. Called again in 4 days, the salesman I was dealing with was not in and no-one had info about my order but he would check and get back to me. 2 hours pass so I go to the store to ask for a credit or find where the tire are. Now told he could help me he not my salesman & I cannot get a credit because the manager is out for 3 days, so after a few words I said I don"t care call the manager or salesman or the warehouse to find my tires. So another guy come get my info go in the back returns & tell me my tires arrived yesterday, OK so I take the tires to where i'm having my truck service & they tell me the tires are incorrect. So I call back now i'm told I have to return incorrect tires because my tires just arrived. Had to put 1 star because there no option for a negative star. Told have car towed pep boys wed nov 8th have car shield. car needed rear bearing, igniton problem. and needed tire pressure senson. Had tire pressure sensor warning light. which i bought and left car. told have car monday evening, then monday evening told be tuesday 1pm at 10 am tue told the were going contact car sheild didnt do till i returned and ask if they were doing are did i need find another. called while there got ok told be ready evening went . picked up car tire sensor not put on had return Wednesday. did gave car with low pressure warning and ABS warning and traction warning and they do nothing. i filed complaint BBB anyone else has problem should file bbc and can complain stat AG office of comsumer complaints read more

Week before I scheduled for my car at 2:30pm once I arrived one of staff told me that wait 2 hrs. So I was waiting 2hrs at hooters. Because this place doesn't have area for the customers. However, when I came back to the shop, the guy who was manager I think, he says I have to wait another few hours due to they were busy even though I scheduled and they even look my yet! I just had an amazing experience at this store. Chris and the other guy at the front desk were friendly and took care of me. I had a flat on my way in to NOLA from Texas. Cant give it less than one star. These clowns are a joke. Needed a simple tire repair and went on a saturday morning they said they were booked so i would have to make an appt. They made an appt for sunday at 3pm. So these clowns call me at 1pm on sunday and cancel the appt. So of course noone is open on a sunday so i will have to miss work to get it repaired. I have had issues wirh them in the past like putting wrong tires on and general poor workmanship but i figured they could at least fix a tire. But i was wrong. I've been here twice for repair. First time - I made an appointment for my wife to bring her car in for a simple repair, confirmed the appointment. She shows up and waits 3 hours before they get to her. Second time - I come in, they diagnose the problem and tell me to come back in the morning, which I do. I ask how long it should take? "A couple hours". I ask, since its 9 am, if it will be done by noon? "Yes, no problem". Because I'm going out of town at 2pm and need that car.... Yeah, I show up at 2 and its still on the rack, untouched.... I get it at 4:30 right in the middle of rush hour, too late to start the trip. The manager knocked $100/10% off my bill, but I'd rather have my car at the promised time. The quality of work is fine and they are not scammers; they just don't respect your time. read more

I bought four (4) tires at a reasonable price, they had to have them delivered from another store, but this did not stop them from having my new tires on by 4pm. I suggest dropping your car off and giving Pep Boys time to work on your vehicle, then picking it up later--after work or the movies.. I also recommend their oil change service.. $30 cheaper than those quick oil change places. read more

I have always had no problem finding whatever I need here. I usually just get stuff that will keep my car clean and shiny. I have known a few people who have gotten car maintenance done here with no real issue. Do not bother. I went to have my spark plugs changes. They refused; they wanted to do a computer analysis to diagnose the problem.

Got here at 8 am and was out by 9. My technician was Adam. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me. They ran diagnostic tests and didn't try to push me I to unnecessary repairs or work. I'm a happy camper. read more

Asked to remove a stripped bolt on an oil pan. Took over 2 hours just for them to take a quick look and say that they can't do so because it may damage the thread so I would need to buy a new oil pan. I politely denied the offer or any service at that. Took another 2 hours for them to take my car off the rack and my ozium car spray is missing. Went to the dealership and let take a look on a busy day took 45mins with included oil change. They are professional scammers they will make you buy things when you don't really need too. My car year is 2013 how can a 1 year and 1/2 old car have problems that can extend that far. As for the staff inside and pepboys speedshop they are respectable locals and deserve at least 3stars as for the mechanics they are lazy and poorly educated. read more

People, it's normally all about people. I believe that I am like most people and I will remember the personal interaction with employees long after I remember what I purchased or if I saved few coins when it comes to having a good experience at a store. I am writing to give customer feedback about a positive experience at the Pep Boys on Behrman Highway in Terrytown, Louisiana. The lug nuts on my front right wheel were too tight for me to loosen. I am not a light weight and I had a large cross lug wrench. The last person to tighten the lugs down must have used an impact wrench with the torque set on high. It wasn't Pep Boys. I took my truck back to where I had last had that wheel removed, Good Year. The service manager wouldn't let me use one of his impact wrenches. I understand why he wouldn't, but I could have easily loosened the lugs in less than 30 seconds. He said that he would loosen them but I would have about a 2 hour wait to get the vehicle into a bay. Bummer! On a whim, I stopped by the Pep Boys on my way home. Your service guy behind the counter, the name 'Eddie' was on his shirt, was just great! Thanks! He was articulate, interested in helping, had a genuine smile on his face, and was friendly. I explained the situation and asked if I could just pull my truck up to the back of one of his bays to use one of his air hoses & impact wrenches for about 30 seconds to loosen the lugs. He said 'No' and, again, I understood. He said that he could have one of the mechanics pull it into a bay to loosen the lugs and a bay was open. I asked how much it would cost. I was ready to pay some nominal amount just to get on with my day. He said he wouldn't charge me even though I told him that it was not Pep Boys that over tightened the lugs in the first place. Thanks! While I waited I talked with the same guy whose name I believe is 'Eddie'. I hadn't previously had work done on my vehicle at Pep Boys. I had purchased parts at Pep Boys but had done most of the work on my truck myself. I have Michelin tires on my truck and asked Eddie if Pep Boys sells Michelins. He said yes and gave me a competitive price on a pair of the size and type I use. I'll be back in a couple of months to purchase them at Pep Boys thanks to the good people skills of your employee 'Eddie'. People today don't give enough credence on just being nice to people. Just based on my interaction with Eddie I'll be giving more of my business to Pep Boys. read more

Fast! It was just a quick diagnostic to see if there were any problems with my recently purchased used car. In Less Than 30 minutes they gave me a run down of what I should look out for and not just that; they gave me suggestions on how to fix my problems in the most affordable way. Keep in mind that when I brought it over to Ford they took ALL DAY! About 2 days just to tell me why my check engine light ws on. I will definetly be back when i have car trouble. read more

The customer service in this location is very bad. When I get in (only me that time) three workers one inside , two outside of the counter still worry working something, I had feeling I am invisible, after 5 minutes one of them begin to talk to me. My car drop yesterday to adjust the light of the previous service, I come today my car was in the middle of process the worker said can not pickup today because the technician off. I was panic for my plan Labor day. I asked him if he know the schedule no technician today why he open my car and leave it like that ?He can not answer. I Paid to inspect the transmission mount on my antique 1990 Volvo 240 DL = when I was called in the car was up on the lift with this tech jamming a crow bar up the transmission lifting and shaking the transmission against the motor. He broke the driveline sensor causing my care to randomly cut off while driving - I am paying a Volvo tech now over $300 to repair the sensor and the mount .when the car was lowered on the lift 3 other shop tech were leaning on the hood with their greasy hands = I just paid to have the car painted two days ago now there is grease spots on my hood. Yet another expense to repair. I am considering legal action after I receive the final bill from Volvo Tech this week Friday .and cost to repair my new paint job = This was the absolute unprofessional inappropriate irresponsible actions I have ever experienced with Pep Boys service . I was told the inspection which should have been just visual - was $25 then I find out there is a $2 shop fee added on? I guess for the use of the crow bar being jammed into my transmission and moved and breaking the sensor .I don't feel 1 star is even appropriate for this place - they need some serious inspectors review their practices read more

Terrible service, the guy had us waiting while he was on the phone saying blatantly racist things to his friend. When he did help us he was misogynistic about women and cars and also kind of hitting on us- my friend is a security guard and he asked her to frisk him. Then he gave me the wrong information multiple times from other people's cars. Was a long time customer of Pep Boys. Had oil changed on 9/21/15. Drove car approximately 3 miles and the car stopped in the middle of a very busy street. I am 85 and my wife is 77. We are not physically able to push a car. Luckily for us, there was an auto repair shop around the corner and the men were able to push the car to their shop. They found a hose was not properly replaced and that caused the problem. Their charge was $141.37. Pep Boys stated that I should have called them and they would have sent a wrecker to get the car; they are not responsible for the repair bill. After contacting the Gretna location and sending e-mails to the corporate office, I have received no response. Needless to say, they have lost my business. read more

Ironically I have never visited one of your stores before but after this weekend plan on being a loyal customer. Saturday evening I was doing some local shopping with my son, when I came out of the grocery I found my tire was completely flat. Now I know nothing about changing a tire and my son has special needs so needless to say we were stuck. Luckily that when a young man still in his Pep Boys uniform walked out and saw my predicament. He then offered to change my tire, not only did change my tire but he explained everything he was doing to my very inquisitive son, whom most people try to ignore. I noticed on his uniform his name is Rusty and was a service manager. He told me that he worked in Gretna and was on his way home. After he finished he looked at my tires and told me that I needed 4 new tires and showed me why. Unfortunately we don't have a Pep Boys in Laplace but Rusty said that there was one in Metairie, Gretna is too far. If all your employees shave the same kindhearted attitude as RUSTY I will definitely be a customer for life.
