Firestone manager heard me saying I had an autistic son . he came out said come inside he got me a brand new tire mounted he said use this one and I will order the matching one for your car. I paid him and when I got back in one week he had the tire waiting for us, in no time i was out the door and in my car and away I went. They were honest and upfront the original part they replaced failed. The replaces the part at no charge. In a very reasonable amount of time. So I got a brake inspection on my car here and not only did they miss that my brake plates were installed incorrectly, they also recommended that I get things fixed there that are completely fine (I got second and third opinions from other shops to be sure) and the markups on their parts is so much higher than anywhere else around. Every travelers nightmare, a blow-out on 75 !!! We started with a different tire store due to a bad experience with our local Firestone in Virginia. After a couple hours there & no success with getting the blown tire off the rim it was suggested to try Firestone around the corner. We called ahead, spoke to Tiffany, she said bring it over and she will fit us, just might be awhile due to how busy it was. She got our tire stuck on the rim to the Firestone Team, they were having problems getting it off and looked like we might be spending the night in the area. Tiffany would not give up, she went above and beyond anything that we could have expected. Tiffany and James restored our faith not only in Firestone, but Humanity. That statement is no joke, so many people would have quit, sent us on our way, but not Tiffany & Crew, she even ordered a special tool to get the job done. Unfortunately my experience with Firestone has lacked the customer service that I expected. Unfortunately I have restricted vision so I can not drive and need assistance to get things done. My son in law drove my car to your shop for a new set of tires. When we got there I realized that I left my billfold at home so I could not get tires. No problem, I have apple pay but you can't take apple pay. I still needed tires and the car was available so my son in law paid for them but e had to apply for a credit card which was not needed and even though it was my car they apparently it was necessary to put all information that was required in his name. It only gets worse. My son took the car home and got a low tire pressure notice. A friend took the car back in for other recommended service and they asked if they could send my receipt by email. I understand that it was sent so now I am to find someone to take me back in and they will print me a receipt. Unfortunately, I think that this shows why I am not one of your favorite customers. read more

I needed estimate for repairs on my wife's car. I had a couple "quotes" and some were way too high. I got a quote from "Firestone" but mistakenly it was Oxford, Alabama not Oxford, Florida. I called the Oxford, Florida and was assured by a kind representative that all would be worked out if I would bring in the car and the printed quote. I was told to talk to the store manager. The "Store Manager" decides to address me with a loud voice. It was rude and uncomfortable and I asked him why he chooses to speak to me like that and he answers: "It's loud in here!" If you're accustomed to being treated with disrespect then you might not have a problem; however, when I asked him if he realized how disrespectful he was being he told me to leave and that he would not work on my car. My view is that there was not enough profit and that I was an informed customer and that he is looking for Senior Citizens who he can bamboozle. His name is James Sch... Please avoid because his empathy appears to be at zero and he's really trying to TRIPLE MAX PROFIT and that's not the way to do good business. read more

We had a rare part and they went above and beyond, treating it as a challenge and not as a problem. They solved it and at a most reasonable price, which I did not expect. I went to this Firestone on 4210 East County Rd., 466... My 80 year old mother has been a customer at this specific location for years ever since the building was built, and I have been going to fire stones for over 30 Years starting Way back all (4) of my cars I have taken to firestones for tires to maintenance. I would NOT go back to this one if they offer a free service. - No seriously- not even free work on my car. So- in Firestone parking lot- I pulled into a service bay that didn't have the chain across - I've done this many times at Firestone -to be helpful to the service person who would work on my moms car - I had an appointment and it was time. I put car in park. A woman who works there came out to say žxxžyelling at me -As if I was a criminal she was looking at me so hatefully --I couldn't believe my eyes. I asked her are you actually yelling at me? I thought I was being respectful to them by putting it where it was easy for them to get to it... the lady proceeded to tell me that there was a huge accident and it was a safety issue... Well, why was the chain not across so people would know not to do this?! She commanded me to drive around and park my car in the parking lot. Again like I was so horrible and annoying to her. I did just what she said and went in to see her now positioned at her podium. We had made our appointment earlier same day in person with someone else but he was not in sight. She continued to ream me about it being a safety issue .. I asked for the other man. She said,"He is in a conference meeting" I said, I will wait. She said,"You'll be waiting an hour" I said,"That's fine" and she went in and he immediately came from around the corner. (2 minute wait to speak to him) "Can I Help you?!!" He was Visibly on the defensive by his facial expressions. He also told me off saying -it was a safety piece bc "someone just drove in to the bay and knocked a car off" (as if I had done the same or had knowledge of this?!) If he was so concerned about safety why did he have two bays wide open with out the chain across. Just inviting more customers to do the same! I hardly pulled in and she was on me like in such a hateful way. Btw- I first went to pull up to the bay with the hole to be under the car to do oil change below.. The chain was not up there either!!). All I did was to try to be a helpful customer and had my head bit off. All she had to do was say please move your car around to the front. I didn't hardly pull it 2-3 feet in. It was already parked when she was yelling. I mentioned to the manager this wasn't very nice and I was adding it to my review and he said he wouldn't service our car and wanted me to leave. No problem. So we left and went right across the street to Action Gator Tire also full service. The manager met us in the parking lot with a kind greeting and "How can we help you today?" I told him it was our tires - they're new but the tire flat light was on. Turned out we needed 100.00 worth of repair and we gladly gave it to them. When we were leaving Tom the manager made sure to tell us if we had any problems with our cars that they're happy to help. I did notice Firestone business cards on the flip side was advertising to hire people. Short staffed and current staff is short fused! read more

I remember the days when Firestone gave you a laundry list of things that needed to be done to your car while just performing an oil change. It's not like that anymore. They may still give some small suggestions but the pressure to get it done immediately is not there. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a warm hello and a friendly smile. Absolute life savers. At 4:45pm on a sunday (15 minutes before closing) I rolled up with a oddly humming van. I was on a road trip from Virginia, just passing through town, and was ready to hear the bad news...that my road trip would be delayed because I would have to stay overnight for repairs. I called at 8am to ask about patching a small hole in a tire vs switching it out. The woman who I spoke with was not very helpful, and was very short with me. I've had many tires patched (usually takes 15-20 min) at other tire shops. She made it seem like it was going to take a long time to do because they were short staffed and gave very vague answers about pricing, if they could even get to it at all because they were so busy all day. Online it says they are open till 7pm, but she said they close at 6 and probably wouldn't have anyone working or able to patch or switch out my tire. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

The only reason I'm giving a star at all is because of Melinda. I was told my truck would take 1 hour, no biggie than I come back and it's 3 hours. So I have to stand for 3 hours since they only accommodate 5 people to sit the lobby. Had my truck worked on multiple times. With in a week something else is wrong. Every time. Too expensive. Sent my 2002 Jeep in for a water pump. Truck ran absolutely fine and never overheated. In the process they destroyed my alternator and friend my battery along with some sensors. Now trying to contact corporate which is a joke and store refuses to fix what they screwed. Stay away from firestone if you want your vehicle to stay running.
