Customer service was great. I called this morning and was able to get in today. A dealership told me i needed a couple of things done. One was an oil pan they said had a hole in it and wanted to charge over 500.00 to replace. The techs at Pep Boys said the oil pan did not have a hole in it so that saved me over 500.00 so i let them replace the cv boots which were cracked and I was able to get my car back the same day. I was very happy with their service and honesty. I will go back in the future! Thanks guys read more

Multiple visits, issues every time. Do NOT use for your car care needs! The technicians here have no idea what a tire rotation is. Multiple visits when I've had to get oil changed, they fail to rotate the tires, yet put on the paperwork that they did them. I can TELL when the hubcap covers haven't been touched because the amount of brake dust that's on there. Not ONE mark from gloves of technician removing hubcap. Also reporting wrong on service vehicles the mileage, which I see in the service vehicle portal. Over 10,000 miles less than what's on the dash. I'm surprised corporate hasn't given them a visit for their shoddy work. Stay away from this shop. read more

I've had issues with an ATV tire, took it by and they said hole was too large to patch, but that a tube could get me by for a while. It did, then I ran over a stick and it blew the tube, so another trip by The shop! Always they are welcoming and take care of the issue! read more

My grandsons brakes went out while on vacation. Pep Boys in Florida charged him $600. Two weeks after he got home the brakes went out again. He lives 100 miles from Pep Boys He can't drive the car there for them to see what they did wrong, without brakes. They want $500 to come get the car. Very dis appointed. read more

WORST customer service received from Pep Boys (5820 Jimmy Carter Blvd ). I brought in 2 wheels in the back of my truck and requested new tires be installed. I was told they had a mechanic to get it done in 15 min , when I returned in 20 min was told it was going to be 2 hrs. when I questioned what changed the young man that said he was going to do it laughed and walked back into the bay area. I bought the tires and left because I had a customer waiting on me as well. just poor and rude service writer. read more

I came to these con artists to have an oil change and I get a call that I have all these other issues that are gonna cost around $1300 so I politely said no I just need an oil change. My wife came and picked up her car to get home and tell me to come look at the dash. Her dash is lit up like a Christmas tree!!! Check engine light, low oil light, service traction control and stability track light. So I call a friend that works on cars to come over and not only is my oil filter loose but my PCV valve house is unplugged and my mass air flow sensor was also unplugged. I feel this was an attempt to extort me and make me think I needed all this work done. Top notch scammers right here!! How many other have they done this to that don't know to look. I'm not a dumbass and I'll NEVER EVER come back to this shit hole!!! Update!! Found another scam they pulled!! My experience at this specific location completely sucked. Prior to requesting to have my oil change, I asked management to make sure to put the standard oil in my 2013 Toyota Corolla, which is around $40. Also, I asked them to not put full synthetic oil in my car. What do they do? ... They put full synthetic oil in it which cost me $85. I confronted management regarding my issue. After, management lied and told me your car requires full synthetic oil.... Um NO it does not. They of course argued with me and they were very rude and even told me they do not care to do business with me. Then, I called Conyers Tire Company in Conyers and explained what happened and they informed me that was a huge lie on Pep Boys end, which I was already aware of that. I stopped going to Pepboys for this reason and had Conyers Tire Company change my oil from this point forward. Guess what? CTC charged me $44 for the standard oil change. I Ended up accepting the quote for new tires and then was given an additional discount after I had agreed to the higher price. Rude!!! I called to make an appointment to see about a dashboard notice on my car. I asked if I should plan to leave it and he rudely said no, why would you do that? We have to diagnosis what's wrong first. A couple hours later I then go by to let them have a look and the front desk person asks if I'm leaving it. I let him know I specifically asked that question when I called and was told no, why would I do that. He proceeded to say well it will be over an hour. My family and I have been using this Pep Boys location for several years now and have never been disappointed! We are always treated fairly and my husband feels very comfortable sending me and our daughter there because we've never had the feeling that we are being "duped" just because we are women! When my 17 year old son had an issue with the brakes on his truck, the manager even sat down and spoke to him about how to tell when the brakes are going bad and how to take better care of his truck. I called the store told him I bring it up in a few days and when I did they told me how they couldn't get to it until four hours later. I told him that was unacceptable when should I bring it back and they told me never. I called the corporate office and got some action then. They really went above and beyond to make sure I received the best price possible and I really appreciated it. Be weary of the employees at this specific location. They will ridicule you even if you're not a customer or even at their location. A person screamed at me across traffic calling me explicit names and being extremely vulgar and makes you feel unwelcome and bullied. I couldn't believe my ears when he called me those names and yelled I had no genitals. If I were you I'd keep driving if possible to another place or location. I made a Sunday morning appointment to have my brakes looked at. I get there about 10 minutes early and I am told I have to wait until 8 to be checked in which was my appointment time. So I wait and finally get checked in. I was then asked if I was there to get the oil changed and I said no my appointment was for brakes. I'm then told that they will get to me when they can. I asked how long and was told 30 mins. I go to the customer waiting area and notice the chairs are strewn around the room, the floor has not seen a broom or mop in months. It's the nastiest place I have ever seen. The drink machine had been removed and the area where the machine had sat had dust, dirt and whatever glued to the floor. I attempted to turn the chairs around so I would have a place to sit as well as another customer. A short while later I verified no repairs would be done until I have the approval. Eventually I was told it was my rear brakes and I would need new rotors as well. When I asked about the cost I was asked if it was a 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. My vehicle is a 4 wheel drive and I was given a quote of $580. I know that 4 wheel drive had nothing to do with the brakes. Not sure why it was asked but I felt the price was way off. I declined and left. I'm not sure what has happened to the Monroe location. I have used them for years and have always got good service. But I noticed a change and different employees. Before this if I walked in Mark, Tim, Devan would always check me in quickly and get my vehicle taken care of quickly or as quick as they could. I was told that Mark is gone. As for the brakes I was able to get my brakes replaced elsewhere for $400 and that included changing/flushing the brake fluid, brakes and rotors. I think this is my last time giving Pep Boys my business. read more

Worst Customer service I have had in a long time.. Took a brand new Nissan titan in for an oil change and tire rotation. a week later I realized there was a screw in my left front time that would need to be fixed, at the same time saw that the locking lug nut was missing from that wheel. Went back to Pep boys and spoke with "Jarrod" at the time he told me pep boys would get a set of locking lugs and have them in next week, would give me a call. 3 weeks later I called him, he told me opps, had the wrong phone number for you, one number off. then proceeded to tell me the reason he hadn't gotten replacments yet is because it takes 3 months to get them, to new.. I found OEM replacements that day.. then he proceed to inform me that there was no way the tech working on my vehicle left that lug nut off, they have a strict policy about that. so went from will take care of it to couldn't have happened.. Customer service is terrible and will not use that establishment at long Jarrod is with them. To bad own a house right down the street was looking for somewhere to go consistently. read more

If you have a corporate account do not go there. The manager will lie (from experience) and he won't call you back if you put a complaint in. I made an appointment online to get my vehicle serviced, I checked in with the store manager on duty gave him my keys. 2 hours later after I arrived on time for my appointment, I checked to see if my vehicle was serviced and the store manager had left for the day and had not passed on that my vehicle needed to be serviced. For over a month I thought my car was leaking oil, turns out these guys can't even put a oil filter on correctly.

The big guy behind the counter was very rude , told us it would be 2 1/2 hours + to put a loose tire on a rim ( which takes five minutes) . He said that we were not a priority because it was for an atv . So we went across the street to Walmart and within give minutes they had us ready to go, and only charged us five bucks ! Stereotypical machanics: Money First, safety last. Went in for an oil change. They took the tires off to inspect the breaks and the tech cross threaded 2 lugnuts. They didn't notify me and sent me home missing a lugnut. Went back the next day and they said they would fix it but when it wasn't convenient for them near the end of the day. I discovered the second crossthread a week later while trying to replace my breaks. Went in the next day only to be told I'd have to drop it off. They shoare Thisinsistant that pi wait for hours due to their error. This shop is only concerned with making money and hitting quota's. Said they could mount my tires. Came to shop. Made excuses. Wasted my time. Said they couldn't mount the tires. Avoid.

My low tire pressure light came on on a Sunday, so i went in to have it checked out. I went ahead and got them to change the oil and rotate the tires. There was a staple in my tire that could not be plugged or patched. They also said i needed my hub replaced on the front passenger side. They said the wheel wobbled when they pushed on it but the tire was off, so i did not see for myself. He said the wheel could come off, If I didn't have it replaced soon. I told them i could not afford to have the work done that day. I would have to wait till payday. Then he wanted to sale me a $80 tire even though my other tires had wear but would last a good while and I rotate them every 5000 miles for even wear. I asked another tire and got a 35000 mile tire for 40 something. He said I needed air filter too. I said I would get that myself. I took my car over to Kauffman tire in covington the next saturday. I didn't need a hub in their opinion and showed me the tire didn't move however hard he pushed on it. He had no idea Why they would tell me that. I'll tell you why, they wanted to make more money. They saw a female and figured they could take advantage of her!! Its a shame. A real shame!! So don't take your car to pepboys in monroe. Mine is not going back. read more

BEWARE: $89 Diagnostic Fee. This place will charge you $89 to look at your car for 15 minutes, if you decide their price is too high and not to have the work done. Even if you just bought a new set of tires there the week before and have a long customer history with them. And they will take a day and a half to do it. No customer loyalty. I have learned my lesson. I can understand a reasonable diagnostic charge. I know a shop can't work for free, and people would take advantage. But $89 for 15 minutes of work, and a day and a half to do it? Sorry, Pep Boys. You've lost a good customer today. read more
