You've heard the radio commercials a thousand times: 4 wheels, $99.88. You've also heard the disclaimer in the radio commercials: "additional work is often required at substantial extra cost." The promise of a cheap price next to that disclaimer kept me out of a Just Brakes for years because I wasn't sure if I'd be fleeced or not. But I needed a brake job and I didn't have a lot of money. I decided to give them a shot. So what's the verdict? 1. I don't think anybody walks out of here paying $99.88. $99.88 covers the pads & turning the rotors. To do that plus change some of the other hardware that wears out plus change the fluid came to $250 + tax on my car. That's about in line with the last time I had my brakes worked on and comes with a written warranty, so I can't complain. 2. This past weekend has been a mess of car repairs for me, done at 2 different shops. Just Brakes won hands down for service and customer care. The first place I went to for an oil change and tire rotate lied to me about 2 different issues and never checked the brakes like I asked them to, so on Sunday I swung by Just Brakes in the hopes that they would be open and could help discover what my brake issue was. Jeremy was fantastic in bringing me out to my car, showing me what the issues were, layout out the different repairs that needed to be done and the different costs associated with them. He was up front and honest about the repairs, which I appreciated, especially after coming off the fiasco that was the other car repair place. It made me wish I had just come here first. I highly recommend these guys. Brakes aren't cheap, but they're in line with what would be charged anywhere else. It's the honesty and integrity they showed that put the place over the top in my book. read more

The guy that took care of my brakes did a honest job. He communicated what he was going to do and showed me the work to be done before doing it. I went early in the morning and got in immediately. The only thing I can say about this business is the manager Jeremy goes above and beyond for customer service ( he even contacted me on his day off because he understood the gravity of my situation ) and Steve was extremely nice and helpful . Unfortunately my experience was not as great . I drive a 2005 Honda in great condition I have had the car for eight years and have never had any problems. I get on my check ups tuneups oil changes on time. I got new brakes at the Rosenberg location , The first time I drove the car after that my brakes failed on the highway going 70 miles an hour not only terrifying me but almost killing me thank God I'm OK. It took over 24 hours to have someone from corporate contact the person at that store location to approve a tow truck. In the meantime I had 3 Mechanics Test dr it all of them had pedals going to the floor. The car was towed to the BellAire location where I was told there was absolutely nothing wrong with the car or its brakes they were done correctly. Now I know cars don't just fix themselves or give lives back in case there was a fatal accident involved here. The brake specialists told me I could come pick up the car and the brakes were safe. I repeated for the umpteenth time my account of what happened and was told he didn't even take the car for a test drive on the highway to reinvent what happened because there wasn't enough gas in the car. Are you kidding me? Negligence!!!!!! He also stated clearly multiple times it was the fault of the technician who did the brakes because he didn't do a proper test drive before he gave me the car back . This has been longer than three days now I have written several emails left messages and called corporate at least 15 times and have gotten no response from anyone. I have been told I would be called back on three different occasions and no one has contacted me. I have personal injuries no vehicle and have not gone to work. I refuse to drive the car as you can imagine I am totally freaked out and feel it is unsafe. If this was any of your mothers sisters daughters you would feel the same way. I need answers. read more

I've been to Just Brakes in Rosenberg for three brake jobs (two on the same vehicle), and I've had a good experience each time. Staff members are cordial and professional. They do a good job explaining what does and does not need to be done, and they do good work at a fair price. In particular, I would like to single out Jalen for a job well done this morning. While waiting on me, he experienced a frustrating technical glitch at the counter. It was clearly a hardware issue and not anyone's "fault," and he handled it very well with patience and a smile. He deserves a big pat on the back. All things considered, I will definitely be back in the future, and I recommend them without reservation. read more

The manager was very nice he worked with me on my repairs I needed on a car I just bought. He showed me everything that was wrong. It was harsh but, expected. I knew when i bought it needed worked I was given a complete list of things with prices for my brakes and the maintenance items on my car. He showed me and explained each item. Then when I told him what I could afford at the time. He went out of his way to make sure I was able to get almost all the work done with in my budget. That was really very nice. He saved my some money and now I have finished list. I love my new car even more now that has been fixed right and is working good. I would and will go back again.
