After researching prices, I found a great deal through NTB's website and brought my laptop into the Waldorf, MD location (the one facing Crain Highway, in front of Sam's Club and Home Depot). The store manager, James, assisted me directly. He reviewed the online listing I found and confirmed with corporate that the specific tires were no longer available in my size. Instead of leaving me stuck, James quickly located a comparable tire, honored the price match, and scheduled my installation for two days later once the shipment arrived. When I returned for my appointment, my paperwork was ready and the install began immediately. While waiting, I had a great conversation with James' assistant manager and another customer, where we were given helpful information about tires and maintenance. Halfway through the install, James requested that I come back to the work area to review what the technician had discovered. This is the point where many shops try to upsell unnecessary work, NOPE... not here. The technician showed me my brake pads and explained the uneven wear. Instead of pressuring me into an immediate replacement, he honestly advised that no action was required yet, but that I should recheck every three months. That level of professionalism blew me away. James is awesome and runs an outstanding operation, he's professional, knowledgeable, and leads a team that clearly shares the same values. Later that same day, I called Meineke and was informed by what I assumed to be the manager that nothing was wrong with my brakes and that I could wait until two oil changes to have my brakes changed. I picked up my truck on Saturday, February 7th. The manager gave me my truck's fob and told me there was no charge. Now I took this very seriously, but because I've been bringing all my vehicles to the Meineke and was told nothing was wrong, the manager cut me a break. But after driving the truck for a few days, the noise in the truck got worse. I return to Meineke on Wednesday, February 11th. I ask the mechanic to speak to the manager. The mechanic informed me that Saturday was his last day. I then explained that I have a lifetime warranty on my brakes and that they are making noise. He replied that it didn't concern him, but the mechanic refused to look at my truck. I left Meineke and took my truck to Martin's Servcie Station where i spent $944.78. On brakes, rotors, RF brake hose, and wear sensor. I called Meineke to file a complaint by phone on Wednesday, February 11th. I was told that I would receive a follow-up call in 48 hours, working days. No one responded to my complaint. I have attached pictures of the brake condition before the repairs were performed. I had to pay for brakes, rotors, and other items that were under warranty and were installed by Meineke. And the owner of Meineke brush it off as if it is not a big deal. Poor service....

However, my recent interactions with the same staff and location have left me broke and devastated. I realize mistakes happen, and everyone is learning on the job. However, when I feel I am being taken advantage of based on issues based on my gender and age, this is unacceptable and I want others to be aware of people who will smile in your face while stabbing you in the back. Every business should be proud of their staff and the work that they do and stand by this; shame on those that take advantage of others. There should be more honor in business so we can all benefit together.

I recently had service done at Marlboro Tire and Automotive twice. My first experience was good…read more During the last week of April they replaced the starter on my 2021 Kia Telluride, and everything seemed fine at the time. However, when I picked the vehicle up, I noticed an issue with my parking sensor that had never happened prior to the service. I made another appointment to have that checked out along with several other issues I already knew needed attention -- a wheel bearing, a check engine light, and a transmission issue. I dropped the car off on Sunday, May 17th. They called me Monday and explained that the parking sensor issue was unrelated to the starter replacement, which I accepted. They also said the transmission issue would need to be handled by the dealership. The check engine light turned out to be caused by the evap vent valve being disconnected from the evap canister, and they reconnected it. Total cost was $160. I stopped by a little after 3 PM to pay and pick up the keys, but told them I would return later that evening to actually take the vehicle home. When I came back at 9:55 PM, the first thing I noticed was that the vehicle was unlocked because the mirrors were folded out. On my Telluride, the mirrors automatically fold in when the car is locked. When I opened the door, the dashboard was lit up and the radio was on. Once I sat down, I realized the vehicle was actually still running. My car's drive information automatically resets if the vehicle has been off for four hours. The dash showed the vehicle had been running for 9 hours and 30 minutes, had been driven 16.7 miles, and was averaging 4.5 MPG. I took a picture at 9:58 PM. Honestly, I wasn't even angry at first -- I was more shocked than anything and was actually laughing about it when I told my wife. Mistakes happen. The problem came the next morning when I returned to let them know what happened and showed them the picture. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, they immediately denied it and insisted there must have been some kind of malfunction because they "could not have made that mistake." I initially spoke with the two women behind the counter, but then a man came out from the office and asked what I wanted. I told him I felt they should at least refund the $160 service charge or compensate me for the gas burned while my car sat idling all day. He refused both. We went back and forth for several minutes. I explained that up until that moment I had actually been happy with their service and thought I had found a repair shop I could continue using. I told him the issue wasn't the mistake itself -- it was the refusal to take responsibility for it. I also explained that if he had simply apologized and made some effort to make it right, I probably would have laughed about it later and continued bringing my vehicle there. Instead, I was treated as if I was making the whole thing up despite having photographic evidence. When I told him that my only remaining option was to leave an honest review online about my experience, he accused me of threatening him. I told him it wasn't a threat -- I simply intended to describe exactly what happened. To make matters even more frustrating, when I later attempted to leave a review on their website, I was required to enter my invoice number, last name, first name, invoice total, and service date to verify my visit. After entering all of the correct information directly from my invoice, I received an error message saying the information did not match their system records. I can't say for certain what caused that, but it certainly gave the impression that I was being prevented from leaving a review through their website. Again, mistakes happen. What matters is how a business responds when they do. Unfortunately, their response completely changed my opinion of this shop.

It was after hours, so I filled out an online drop off form and left my car and key outside the facility. Really convenient to be able to drop the car off during non business hours so that service can begin bright and early the next day. The next day, the staff called me with more information about my issue and a recommended set of repairs. I appreciate the honest advice and information that Christine provided, she helped me make a couple of decisions about the work to be completed to the car. The shop was able to order the parts I needed and install them within 2 days - appreciate the pretty quick service. The prices are fair and the staff was really friendly and helpful - would definitely bring my car here again for a service if needed. No wonder they've been in business for 30+ years.

To get an accurate understanding of how dishonest and predatory this business is particularly when it comes to women sort the reviews by looking at the lowest reviews. On Sunday, I had my vehicle towed to this shop. My AC had stopped working and after driving for sometime fumes started coming from the front of the car and liquids were dripping from the bottom of the car. When my car got brought in, I called and explained exactly that. They told me it would cost about $67 to do a diagnosis of the issue. The next day, Tim called me and said the issue is my radiator and I needed to replace the radiator. He told me the total cost would be $764. I told him I would call back because I wanted to get a second opinion. I wanted to get a second opinion because this past December I brought my car in to them because my AC/ heater was not working. Then I paid them over $600. Now six months later I was having the same issues. Because I couldn't move the car to another mechanic, I contacted a mobile mechanic. In my messages to the mobile mechanic I said the same thing that I told this business. My AC stopped working and the car started fuming. In the end, I could not coordinate a time with the mobile mechanic due to work, so I decided to go with Myers. The next day I called them to okay the service. Tim now quotes $849, instead of the $764 he originally told me. I explained to him that was not the price he quoted me before. I wrote the price down, but he lied and said it was what he told me. I negotiated the price to $813 because I just wanted my car fixed. I okayed the service after he assured me he did a diagnostic and the issues would be fixed. Of course, I'm thinking the AC would also be fixed. When they called me to say the car is ready. My sister goes to pick up the car and had me on facetime. The very first thing I asked her to do was to check the AC before paying. LO AND BEHOLD THE AC WAS NOT FIXED. When I brought this issue up. They lied that I never mentioned the issue with my AC. We are in the peak of the summer, Why would I not mention my AC not working??? Also, why would I mention it to the mobile mechanic (see my screenshots) and not mention it to Myers, the people who have my car and are fixing my car???? Instead of them admitting their error. They tried to charge me an additional $1000 to fix the AC talking about there is an issue with the AC compressor. So they wanted me to pay a total of $1800!!!! They are ridiculous. Of course I contested this. I called Neil Myers the owner to resolve the issue cordially. To my surprise he started yelling at me and threatening me that "he knows my type" and that if I don't pay in cash I will not get my car. It was so TRAUMATIZING. I never had a business owner speak to me like that, especially when it is THEIR ERROR. The way he spoke to me I was scared because like I said my younger sister was there alone. So I immediately left work to go there myself. Then Brandon (Myers??) got involved and again instead of rectifying the situation and admitting their error also lied that I never told them. So he called me stating the call is being recorded. Then it was clear he was trying to create a recording to cover themselves legally. He also tried to tell me that I needed to pay in cash or certified check before they release my car. I called them out that it is against the law if it was not previously disclosed to the customer. In the end, I paid $749, instead of $813 because Brandon said he would give me a "discount". I found it laughable that he thought that would be sufficient to rectify the fact that I paid $749 to "fix" a radiator that is sold on amazon for less than $99 and my AC is still not working. I don't recommend this business to anyone. Also by the way the positive reviews are doctored. As a first time customer they will harass you for days to leave a review, which I am assuming why so many people feel compelled to leave these 4 star reviews. I had used Myers years ago for minor repairs and was always treated well and was satisfied with their work, this time was totally different. When I took my vehicle in they did the diagnostic gave me the results and I gave them permission to make the repairs. my vehicle was there for more than a week when I picked my car up and drove approximately five miles my engine light came on and the car started backfiring and shut off I was able to get off the highway. I waited 10 to 15 minutes and the car finally started. once I got home, I called the shop they gave me every excuse in the book as to what was happening to the car. My vehicle was in and out of their service department for more than three months. to make a long story short, my vehicle was at Myers for a total of three or four months, I paid over two thousand dollars and my vehicle still is not running. The last thing I had replaced was my fuel pump. At the present time every light on my panel is on. I am eighty one years old living on a fixed incom, this has been very frustrating and I wouldn't recommend Myers to my family or friend as a matter of fact I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. I had an excellent experience at Boswell's which is where I got everything fixed for a fraction of the price. Bill and Tom, the latter of whom is the owner we're super friendly and nice. Tom's wife answers the phone and is polite and courteous. I wanted the job done quickly and efficiently so that I could get my car back on the road otherwise I wouldn't be able to move forward with the rest of my work in business meetings they were very understanding of that and made sure that they did everything to accomplish it and exceeded my expectations I have absolutely nothing horrible to say about them because they're such wonderful folks and apparently they've been in business for a very long time and they know what they do and they're good at it.
