We do have shrimp tacos! Not as street tacos but we offer two large shrimp tacos with rice and beans. Just order the ‘Dos Tacos’ and ask for shrimp, it’s a small up-charge but very delicious! Thanks!

Do they serve breakfast?

IF I remember correctly they open at 10:00, I'd say yes if you're like me and like Taco's or a burrito for breakfast? Seriously, "Do Brunch" you'll be full, as well as happy!

Although I do tend to run into someone from high school, or encounter a long-lost crush. And all with exceptional bartenders, comfy and cozy spaces at the bar, outside seating or on one of the many comfy lounge chairs spread out around the Pool tables. And lots of action going on with their Pool League Night. It was fun to see the many games happening, and watching the different styles of players. They also had some tasty vittles being served up in the parking lot area. Had a nice Grilled Cheese and Pork Sandwich, which paired nicely with their extensive Beer-on-Tap collection. I remember when this location was a classic 7-11 in the 70's. Lots of fun memories of riding the Schwinn Sting Ray bike over for our daily Slurpees. Good times.

We were pleased that they do karaoke on Monday night! So we give it a try and we were beyond pleased. Chip at the bar keeps it nice and neat, great execution in the drinks as well as his singing! For Big Joe the KJ great kudos as well. He runs a good show, very inviting and engaging. The local regulars were also very nice people, like Mo #1. We didn't try the food but surely will do in our next visit. Thanks guys for making our night memorable!

It's probably the only bar you can roll into by yourself as a woman and feel comfortable. There was no salt, pepper, or any other condiment on the table, which is odd for a place where seafood is the main fare. Also, no bread or butter was offered. I got fish and chips which were pretty average, but the portions were small. My partner got a tuna melt which was better than mine, but still on the smaller side of average. If all you want is to sit at the bar and watch the surf with small drink, go to The Ellwood If you're 20 something and Tinder isn't ur thing, go to The Ellwood If you want a full meh experience, The Ellwood is the place But if you want good seafood brought to you by people who know how to serve, go anywhere else.

I was genuinely excited to try Pepe's tortas, especially since tortas are one of my favorite dishes and Pepe's is often mentioned as a Goleta staple. The restaurant itself makes a good first impression--spacious and seemingly welcoming to all. One side features a bar area perfect for the 21+ crowd, while the other offers a roomy dining space suitable for families. However, the experience quickly began to unravel. The interior felt dusty, and several menu items I tried to order--like the jalapeño poppers--were out of stock. That was disappointing, but I was still hopeful for the tortas. Unfortunately, they didn't live up to expectations. While the tortas had the right ingredients, they lacked flavor. The meat was tough, and the bread was dry, missing any kind of spread like mayo, sour cream, or salsa that could've added moisture and taste. It felt incomplete and underwhelming. To top it off, the price was surprisingly steep--two tortas came out to around $41, which felt excessive for the quality delivered. read more

Pepe's Mexica is an absolute gem! As a family-run business, you can feel the warm and welcoming vibe as soon as you walk in. I have a dairy allergy, and they went above and beyond to accommodate me. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with red sauce, and they were absolutely delicious--perfectly seasoned, with no dairy issues at all. The drinks were equally fantastic. The spicy cucumber margarita was out of this world--perfectly balanced with just the right amount of kick. The michelada was also a standout: refreshing, flavorful, and super generous in size. The service here was top-notch. The waiters were so nice and attentive, checking in just the right amount to make sure we had everything we needed. Pepe's has to be the go to place for Mexican cuisine in the Isla Vista/ Santa Barbara area. I've been here many times and I always leave totally satisfied. The food, service, and atmosphere are excellent. It is also a highly versatile dining option. If you're hungover after a wild night of debauchery? Pepe's has the cure to all of your ailments. You just met someone special and you want to take them out to a higher end, not too fancy, reputable establishment? Take them to Pepe's. Just thinking about this place makes me hungry! This gem of a restaurant is located off Hollister ave and has its own parking lot. We went in because my boyfriend had a craving for crab enchiladas and we searched everywhere to find a place that had something close. Pepe's has a mixed seafood enchilada plate that was delicious, though not all crab. I ordered the garlic shrimp because it was calling my name, though it was a little pricy. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, I couldn't get enough of them! We also had some tequila margaritas that were amazing as well. I know Covid and their fire changed a lot for them, but not in a good way. Always loved the Sunday Brunch Buffet, until now. It has gotten so small, no salad or taco bar anymore and no omelette station. Also no labels on the food they did have. And with the raise in price, over $30, they should definitely have more options. No desserts either, except vanilla ice cream. Guess we will have to go back to El Paseo read more

I've only ever been to Pepes on a Tuesday for the buffet night. Works great when you have a big group of people. The best part about the buffet night is the free waffle bar. after you've stuffed your face with mexican food you have to get a waffle with ice cream, strawberry sauce and whipped cream! This is my go-to Mexican restaurant in Goleta California. The food is awesome. It can be a little loud in the dining room but that's because there's so many people there. Parking is can be difficult depending on the time of day you go. The fajitas we're good but overall there wasn't anything particularly special. Good if you're looking for somewhere cheap that can accommodate large groups, but there is better Mexican food to be had in Santa Barbara. read more

You order your food and drinks at this long bar counter, the menu is huge "btw" you get a number and your food is brought to you, I just have to say the service here was very welcoming exceptional, above and beyond less just say top notch, even from the manager, now the food we order was the crispy chicken sliders and the coconut shrimp dishes, they were both just OK.

But even when we walked in; no one really directed us, we had to ask if we needed to wait for someone to seat us, and the they told us we had to order and then choose where to sit. The restaurant itself seems okay, it's like someone's front yard with tables. The food itself wasn't good. I got chicken taquitos, and the chicken tasted fake. It felt like it was re-refried. If that makes sense. I personally felt like it was overpriced for the amount of food and the taste in the food. We also got a burrito and the burrito was pretty small, and basic. We got the chicken huarache, and the carne asada plate and I would say they were a bit tasteless. I don't think I'll be revisiting this place again if I'm being honest.
