Mushy pasta with sauce that tastes like from a jar. I think the food is really awful.

I was not impressed with the cauliflower pizza. Famous pepperoni rolls we ok. Wish they were freshly made and not pre-packaged.

Decided to try out the new place in Kanawha City. The staff was very friendly and eager to wait on me. I reviewed the menu and decided on the ham panini with the works for a total of $7.99 plus tax. I did get my order to go. When I got home the panini was placed in a plastic container. The panini was on sour dough bread and was very good. The panini order came with a pickle slice and a small bag of chips. Overall I enjoyed my meal and would recommend for other people to try this place. The next time I will try one of their pizza's or maybe a pasta dish It's nice to see Kanawha City get another type of restaurant providing choices read more

This is the BEST place to eat pizza and pepperoni rolls! I have to say I have not tasted better ANYWHERE! I have not tried any other entrees, but I am sure they will be just as good. I ordered the lunch special personal size pizza (which is large!), side salad and a drink all under $8.00! I must add that the food is homemade! They have an upstairs eating area for when it gets crowded, too! I took home food as it was more than I could eat! You gotta go! read more

Traveling through Charleston and used Yelp to find this grille thought it was more of a sit down restaurant .It's more of a pizza take out . No kids menu -pizza the personal pizza was a 10 in of which they did not explain to us but did to others we had 2 kids 5 and 8 .. the panini was just ok . Was in town for a friends birthday and she suggested this place! It was pretty good---I've had better and worse! Kinda pricey for a large pizza I think----they messed up the order so they gave me the right pizza and my friend a personal size of what she wanted ---which she was very happy! The personal pizza is kinda big which seems to be the better deal here! I had pizza to bring home for myself! Was thinking of getting the pepperoni rolls but she wanted hers special made and they told her she would have to call ahead to get some so we did not get any! I just found out about this little Italian-type place a few days ago when I saw their menu posted at work. My g/f and I decided to try it out the other evening. She had a personal sized pizza ($4.99) and I had the spaghetti and meatballs ($8.99). When I think of "personal pizza," I think of the personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut, kind of small but probably enough to fill you up. Well, their "personal" pizza was probably about as big as most places' small. It's an 8 inch pie with what I would probably call a medium thin crust. It wasn't very thick, but it defiantly was not thin like the thin-crust pizzas at other places. It was a typical 8-slice cut, and she wound up taking two of them home to eat later. She really enjoyed the pizza, which was the Hawaiian, and though I didn't take it myself, it looked really good. The toppings looked fresh and the presentation was attractive. For just 5 bucks, this is a great deal. In a nutshell, the spaghetti was really good. I think it was a bit pricy for $9, but I do have to say you get a good sized portion with three good sized meatballs and two slices of garlic bread made from their Panini bread (I think it's Panini, I could be wrong on this). I'm not a meatball connoisseur, so I can't say a whole lot about them. They were good, but they didn't jump out at me as something I would miss if they weren't there, but they defiantly added value to the meal. The sauce seemed like your standard spaghetti sauce and could probably use a touch of garlic. I really only have two cons about this place, and that was one of them. I think it would make their sauce better, but it would absolutely not keep me from ordering it again. The other con is something new/small businesses don't always have a lot of control over. The location is small. You might call it charming, you might call it cozy, you might even call it quaint. I'll just call it small. There are only a half dozen or so two-seat tables making this likely a take-out destination. It's only about a block from where I work, so it will be a great place to go and grab lunch take-out, but after work, if I go somewhere to eat, I want to sit there and eat...and it won't take too much business to fill up all of their tables. Overall, my first impression, even with a couple cons, is to give this place 5 stars. My complaints are really minor issues that shouldn't keep anyone from trying the place out. The staff is very friendly and seemed eager to answer questions and interact with us and other customers that were there. Check it out, I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

Well, yet again another pizza place that tries to be better than the others but fails miserably. I have to say, the pizza here has very strange bread. It's not chewy, or crunchy, it's just kind of like bread. Very crumbly. I had a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese (WELL DONE) after I asked twice for it to be cooked more. The sauce was okay, kinda taste like supermarket sauce with tons of oregano. The cheese and pepperoni were the best part since the bread was so flimsy and bread-like that it made the pizza hard to eat. I ended up scraping toppings off and eating it by itself. The wings sucked and they forced me into getting the smoked ones since I ordered fried and they were suddenly out of those. The staff seemed all very young and had no idea what the hell was going on. I wouldn't really go back, pizza wasn't horribly expensive but not cheap either. I think they need a new dough recipe and learn to cook their pizza a little longer for better results. read more

This is an awesome place to get pizza and pasta. The staff is excellent and the food exceptional. My wife doesn't like pizza, except for the pizza here. Every time I go the pizza and service are great. The owner always stops by to check on you while you are there, a very nice touch. read more

I chose the wrong restaurant, wrong table, wrong time evidently.I came with cooler during busy day/time. The no custom, restrictions weren't clear on the special. It does say no substitutions or other offers, limit 2 per person on FB page. Yet, it wasn't clear to me until told it was only carry-out or delivery. The cashier seemed uniformed that it was supposed to cheese or pepperoni only, no custom. James, the owner, stated he wanted to do anniversary special, but might be taking a loss in costs. I apologized for complicated order. If they couldn't do without sauce, no sense in ordering. I was able to order without sauce. While I was sitting at table with umbrella on patio eating the side salad, I was asked to move by the owner so he can seat someone else there. I ate the rest of the salad standing up trying to take up as less space and be as out of the way as possible. I wanted to leave. I felt offended, de-valued, guilty. I am sorry I came; sorry I ordered; sorry, I took up precious space. Sorry, I often have baggage.I was reassured by cashier that I was fine. However,I felt invalidated by the owner. I resolve to avoid patronizing again. I am boycotting. Unfortunately, this experience negated any previous good experiences and the great food. read more

We have eaten here several times now. They have the best White Pizza I have ever eaten. The crust is what makes it. Quick, friendly service and delicious food. Highly recommend. Owner always keeps us updated on our order status. You can tell he cares about the level of service that is being provided. He even gave my little guy (3 yr old) a free ice cream which is from another Charleston great Ellen's Homeade Ice cream. read more

Just stopped in and picked up spaghetti and meatballs for lunch. The food was exceptional and the service was even better. Everyone seemed happy to be there which is hard to find at a restaurant anymore. Anyone wanting quick Italian food should def try this place.
