This place is a total trip down memory lane! The food tastes exactly like old-school Pizza Hut I'd bet money they have the original recipes. The only thing missing was the buffet and salad bar. It's an incredibly family-friendly spot with top-notch service; despite a busy Saturday night, our waitress didn't miss a beat. While it might not be the "best" pizza in the world, it is a must visit if you're craving that nostalgic Pizza Hut flavor. We had drinks, fried pickles, and a large meat lovers pizza for under $50. I'll definitely be back to try the wings next time they looked amazing, and the waiter said it's one of the top sellers. We came to eat as a family of 3 (1 child who is 16 months) on a Monday night at 6PM. We were greeted and taken to a table, only to be told they didn't have highchairs. Unfortunately, we cannot have him on a booster and as any parent knows, holding a toddler during dinner is not enjoyable. We decided to leave and dine elsewhere and as I looked around, it wasn't that crowded and I only saw perhaps 3-4 tables. Very disappointing to see that a family restaurant does not have more high chairs. We love to either order on Monday or Wednesday or dine there for family night. I'd seen Spanky's when driving down the highway, but it was after a fundraiser went horribly wrong with a volunteer group I helped out with that we actually went over there to try it. The guys who were still students at UH were shocked that I'd never been there because of how much of an institution it is to them. Like a lot of dine in places, they have a variety of sizes, pizza depths, and toppings that you can order. I'm a pretty simple guy who prefers just pepperoni, but I went with what they wanted, which included a variation of a Supreme pizza and a meat lovers. Both were fairly large, New York style, and filled us up pretty quickly. Service is always a bit weird at a pizza parlor, since the Parmesan and red pepper are already on the table and they're basically just refilling drinks, but the service was as good as I've had at any other pizza restaurant. The service was amazing, my waiter was super friendly and honestly came to the table the perfect number of times, not too much and not too little. The only thing is I ordered a pizza to go for my family which was the new hot honey pepperoni flavor (if i'm remembering the name correctly) and I unfortunately saw a little friend (tiny baby cockroach) in there who wanted my pizza too. I've been to this location a couple other times and never had any issues I just wanted to bring this up just so the staff is aware. I also didn't even open up the box until I had gotten home so I was a little frightened. I know things can happen as to why that was in my order, but when I got home, I opened the box and immediately saw it in there it just caught me off guard. From the table I was sitting at in the restaurant I can see all the pizza boxes stacked up on top of one another. Food great, always, not a thing in this menu that is not good. Nice environment, it is always nice and cold. Service, is always questionable, not my first time here , I've been coming here for about ten years plus, but every now and then you get a waitress that is rushing, and does not listen to instructions, one of the best things in here is the pizza, we ask for pepperoni on top so the cheese stays together and the pepperoni is crispy on top, we made the mistake and didn't order it correct, but I ask my wife to make sure to let them know, well they threw some pepperoni on top after it was already made. It made it a terrible pizza, we aired on our waitress for ten minutes, never came back, we had to get a manager, of course he offered to replace it, great guy, but we do not send food back, but we were just going to order another one, it was our mistake, but like I mentioned she never came back. Once she came back we did let her know the problem, and did let her know it was our mistake, but she got an attitude about it, so we asked her to walk away, so in the end everyone ate, except for myself. Bad experience! Please hire better people, use the interview process, ask questions and see if this people are willing to help customers. read more
