The ambiance is stellar and so is the service. I enjoyed the food. The star for me was an egg custard with abalone and caviar

Glad was able to secure a reservation while in town!!! Snuggled in the south side of Charlotte. Great atmosphere. Cute vibe, and great service! The food was excellent!!!! Fine dining done well! Bottle wine specials on Tuesdays! Unfortunately I was there Monday, but had I known ahead of time. Haha Started off with the yeast rolls and pimento cheese scones! Let me tell you, these rolls were to die for. Yeasty, flavorful rolls of joy! But for me the pimento cheese scones were outstanding!!!! They came with pepper jelly and sorghum butter. I could of ate plates and plates of them all night!!! The entries did not disappoint either! Little gem salad, lions mane katsu, mushroom agnolottie, blue crab lumache and short ribs! I would recommend any one of these dishes! They all were amazingly well cooked and seasoned. The Blue crab lumache was my stand out dish. Creamy pasta, with big chunks of delicious crab!

Absolutely outstanding! Our second visit matched our first in creativity and breadth of the menu and excellence of the service. Well done, Team! Peppervine traffics in shareable dishes (not tapas), and five for the two of us was perfect (not counting the yeast bread to start!). We opened with the beet & arugula salad, as well as the burrata in the light red and olive sauce. Both were hits (the latter more for me than the former). We then hit the apex of the night with the mushroom agnolotti pasta ... wow! It came out warm and gooey (in a good way) and is full of flavor, amazing mouth feel, and makes you want to order 2-3 more plates and turn on Netflix. Not long after came 4+5, the scallops with broccolini and the Brunzino. The fish was the only thing that didn't really wow us, but I wouldn't talk badly about it. We sipped on the Layla NA sparking and enjoyed another wonderful evening in a fantastic locale. Thank you, Peppervine!

This place is professional, clean, and it seems working on their own upscale dining experience. Only thing that really bothered me is that the waitress touched my shoulder while talking to me, i enjoy my personal space and do not appreciate physical contact with strangers. Another thing she struggled to understand is no dairy no animal products besides fish, aka lent diet, she tried to convince me that butter on bread is okay even tho that does not align. Other than that my food was great, i had fish with veggies and my husband had bolognese which he was happy with but proceeded to tell me he enjoyed the homemade ones better. He did really love the bread- definitely worth a try. Overall solid experience, mocktails are delicious by the way. I would appreciate less push to order more items of the menu. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that.

You have to try this place! It's so worth it Service was great. Every dish we tried had sooo much flavor. The restaurant has a sleek modern look

This is my second time at this restaurant and they always meet my expectation the service the food the ambience the location was perfect. They were even able to accommodate an add an extra person on my reservation. I will definitely come back and recommend this place again to friends and family.

I had just been waiting to try this place and wow it did not disappoint. My mouth is still watering thinking about the bolognese pasta - I think it's safe to say this is the best one I've had in Charlotte! Our service was awesome and quick! The place was so cute I wish I would've gotten a photo - well lit and a perfect aesthetic for a date night, birthday dinner, or any celebration. There was plenty of street parking, otherwise there is a garage next to the place as well!

4.4/5 stars! Wow, what a place! Unsure of where to begin. I'll start with parking, there is ample parking in the deck next to Peppervine, but it's only for roughly 90 mins. Unsure how often they check though. The service and ambiance are both top notch. I always sit at the bar and the bartenders always make sure you are taken care of despite being very busy. The wine selection is good and changes, they do half off bottles on Tuesdays as well. To the food, it blew me away! For starters, their bread ($7) is to die for good! Baked when ordered it compares with Steak48s bread. Light and fluffy. I got the hanger steak last night and was impressed. Hanger steak is easy to mess up, but they did a great job! Their turtle pot de creme for dessert was equally delicious! Very rich, but so worth it! Cannot recommend this place enough!

This was a great date night restaurant! Our server was very kind patient and helpful! I loved the romantic ambiance and the wine theme around the room! The menu was a little tough to figure out but our server recommended two GREAT entrees! The yeast rolls were my favorite! I ordered the short ribs and it was very tasty! Celebrated my birthday here as well and they gave me a cute chocolate dessert and champagne. Very happy with my experience!

As usual Peppervine is on point! We started our with some amazing mocktails, cocktails, and a Beaujolais to welcome in the New Year. I like that they offer a choice of a 6 ounce or 9 ounce glass of wine. All 6 of us loved our meals, the breads, veg, the seafood, pasta, meats. & desserts. It was all just perfection. We were waited on by several people, full service. They removed our silverware in between services as should be done but so rarely is here in Charlotte. It's a beautiful restaurant, always a reliable win!

Peppervine is located in SouthPark Charlottez We stopped in this spot by just walking by. It was so beautiful so we had to pop in. It's a thoughtfully decorated space adorned with driftwood, definitely a contemporary modern vibe. As one of the few non-chain eateries in the area, Peppervine boasts a menu of progressive locally sourced small plates, complemented by craft cocktails. The bar tender made a great Bee's Knees. Loved it! Will be back for dinner.

Peppervine is a Charlotte classic. I frequently hear people say it's one of their favorite restaurants in Charlotte, so I was eager to try it. It was phenomenal. Our server recommended we start with the pinento cheese scones and the yeast rolls. That felt excessive, and how good can bread really be? HA. We started with the pimento scones and quickly went back to order the yeast rolls. Both were standouts! We also shared the cauliflower. Again, had medium expectations, but it BLEW me away! For my entree, I ordered the octopus small plate and am so glad I did. The flavors together with the chorizo were wonderful. Everything was a standout - would definitely return for a nice occasion or with guests in town.

    Short Rib and Mashed Potatoes

Had the short rib, it came with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. I would rate it a 8/10. The short rib was very tender and flavorful. The yeast and pimento roles are both 10/10. The service was good and it's a nice ambience. Great for a date, or in our case, a group of 6!

While I take full responsibility for arriving 15 minutes late, I was shocked at how rudely the hostess--who we later learned was the manager--handled the situation. Rather than a simple acknowledgment of the delay, or improbability of getting a table, she made a point to shame us, emphasizing that accommodating us would be an extra burden for her. This set an uncomfortable tone from the start. When she begrudgingly seated us at a table that had somehow magically become available, she made another unnecessary comment, implying that I should do my part to not make her job so difficult again. My partner was immediately put off and suggested we leave, but I decided to give the restaurant another chance, assuming the manager might just be having a rough night. Unfortunately, things did not improve. The food, best described as uninspired frozen bar fare from the main Duckworth's kitchen, took over 30 minutes to arrive--and even then, it was served before our drinks. When the drinks finally did arrive, they were nothing exceptional. I ordered a French 75, and my partner had a Paloma, only to realize that even the drinks had come from downstairs at Duckworth's. Given the restaurant's supposed reputation, I was surprised that it didn't have its own bar, unlike how things are set up at The Cellar. The only redeeming aspect of our visit was our waitress, who was pleasant and professional. However, what puzzled us the most was that despite the manager's initial reluctance to seat us, nearly half of the restaurant remained empty throughout the evening. With at least three or four servers working in a relatively small space, it was clear that staffing wasn't the issue--so why the hostility? It was hard not to wonder if other potential diners had been similarly turned off by the manager's deplorable attitude and the underwhelming menu. Overall, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths--both literally and figuratively. Between the lackluster food and drinks, and the uncalled-for attitude from management (she is bald and was wearing a dress on the evening of 2/14/25 at 9:30PM-11PM), I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

I think i got the dirty collins which was a lighter drink but not overly sweet so it was perfecttt!! I was eyeing the pisco sour too but will have to try that next time. Service: 4.8/5 - Since it was their soft opening I either expected mediocre service or top of the line. Thankfully I received the latter! Saturn was a wonderful server who provided great recommendations for drinks and kept checking in on us. She was super sweet and hospitable! Vibes: 4.8/5 - definitely get a seat in the bar area if you can. It feels more intimate and cooler..! we were seated in the dining room which was still nice and more quiet but i think it would have been more fun for us personally to be closer to the bar to watch them make drinks and overlook the road by the windows. There's outdoor seating, and initially we wanted to sit outside but we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they seated us at a small corner section near the back of the bar. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.

It's one…read moreof those comfort foods I don't eat often because it's so rich--but when I see it on a menu, it absolutely catches my attention. That's exactly what drew me to The Southern Pecan in SouthPark. Here in the South, they call it country fried steak, and I'm happy to report this one did not disappoint. I met a colleague there for lunch, and everything about the experience felt easy from the start. The restaurant is located in Phillips Place, a lovely little shopping area that feels a bit polished and upscale--with shops like Orvis, Tory Burch, and even a Restoration Hardware restaurant nearby. They do offer valet parking, which is a nice touch, though honestly parking is easy enough on your own. We had reservations through OpenTable and were seated on the patio, which was absolutely delightful for this time of year in Charlotte. The weather was perfect, the setting was relaxed, and the service started off warm and welcoming right away. Now, the food. The country fried steak was beautifully cooked--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy that hit all the nostalgic notes from my Texas upbringing. I paired it with a vegetable side (I believe it was broccoli or corn), and it was a classic Southern plate done right. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and to finish, we split a praline bread pudding, which felt like the perfect Southern ending to the meal--sweet, comforting, and indulgent without being overwhelming. The staff was friendly and attentive, and one of the things I continue to appreciate about Charlotte is how easy it is to connect with people. We even chatted with diners at nearby tables, which added to that welcoming, community feel that makes dining out here so enjoyable--especially for someone coming from the Bay Area. Prices felt fair for the quality, the setting, and the portion sizes, and overall the experience left a great impression. Bottom line: If you're craving a solid Southern classic like country fried steak--or just want a relaxed patio lunch in a charming part of SouthPark--The Southern Pecan is definitely worth a visit. And as someone happily eating my way through Charlotte and the Southeast, this stop was another reminder that the journey has been a delicious one.

Dim lighting, leather chairs, a beautiful bar stocked to the brim with whiskey, bourbon, scotch, and all the other good things you would expect to find in a place that prides itself on great cocktails. I enjoyed my first drink, which was suggested based on my personal preferences in taste. It was a spin off a classic, and I really enjoyed it. Sort of like a cross of a penicillin and a whiskey sour. [The Never Ending Story]. My friend had the clarified punch since we had similar things we've loved in the past. It was slightly sweet, smooth, and easy to sip. We decided to just get some classics since the cocktail menu felt more like just off shots of other classics we love. They were both excluded well! But the thing that really blew us away was the food! I was really pleased with this portion of our evening! We had the crispy Brussels sprouts, and they were the best BSs I've ever had! I thought we'd take some home, but that did not happen! My friend got the Mushroom Casarecce. It was creamy and delicious! The beef carpaccio was also really nice. Overall, we had a nice night, and it was a fun experience to be had!

The food is not the cheapest but I do feel you get what you pay for. The charcuterie and potato dish is delicious. They have many of their own barrels too so be sure to ask what they have or change tour liquor of choice to one of their barrel selections. The vibe is great. Great for date nights or if you want to take visitors somewhere unique this is the spot.

This place really impressed me…read more On my first visit I had the Hawaiian Sliders which admittedly I would not judge a restaurant by....they were good but not that hard to make. My side dish was Mac and Cheese which was way above average and beyond my expectations. My dining companion ordered the brazilian style rib eye which he gave me a sample...delicious...perfectly seared, brilliantly presented and as good a steak as I've had. On my second visit there were 5 of us for lunch. We were all floored by the quality, freshness and again presentation. My Pub Burger was juicy, with dense meaty flavor and frankly too much to handle. This was a knife and fork burger. Again I went with the Mac n Cheese and again I was not disappointed. Of my companions, two had the Rib Eye which again was a hit, another had the Chicken Sandwich....not a crumb was left on his plate and the fourth went with the Wings and House Salad. She was most satisfied. We all shared the Goat Cheese Flatbread with a balsamic reduction....I am not bashful about my dislike of Goat Cheese....I had two helpings The drink prices here I would say are average to high....not much of a bargain. However, the meals were very reasonable for the talent involved in preparation. I would gladly come back here again.

For some reason, I expected to see way more deli items though...like more sandwiches, desserts and such. The thing that made up for the smaller selection of deli items was this unique display of Cannabis treats by their bar! WOW...I never expected that...and NOT complaining either! We actually came to dine...and initially, it was a bit of pain in that we had to order at the bar downstairs, then go upstairs to eat. I wish they had a waitress or two...but it seemed their friendly bartender did all the work (and did a fine job at that)! Seemed we were the only diners upstairs though. Since this IS a market, guess most folks come to eat lunch (not dinner). Unfortunately, my husband is unable to come for lunch, so we had no choice. The menu wasn't big, but whatever we ordered were all DEE-Lish! We ordered several items... Bolognese Pasta, Turkey/Bacon Wrap, Fries, Caesar Salad and even Beignets! Loved ALL of it!! Kinda made up for having to stand and order downstairs. Also, there were plenty of tables and chairs upstairs...almost a loungy set-up. I just wished they blasted some cool music upstairs (and downstairs). There was some music playing, but as things go in most places, it was very muted. Overall, this is a cool, little market...and I can't believe it took me this long to check it out. Definitely plan on returning!

We ate at the bar, ordered a Juicy Bit beer, high tide THC cocktail, Salmón The GOAT salad, Parmesean fries, Brussels Sprouts, and Salmon Cakes. The food was ok, nothing really stood out but decent spot to hang out while passing time for the next movie/show.
