Totally illogical. 2. No kids should be allowed at an adults event. They run the show every other day, give us a break from them. 3. Jazz band should have been outside. Sad that we barely heard any music the entire night. As usual the animals were amazing! Jubilee drink was yummy. Sunset was gorgeous.

They would disappear for long periods of time but keep stuff unattended. There should be some paid seating that can be reserved. Or some active management of chairs so no one hogs tables. One of the most picturesque aquarium locations I've visited. Also, nice exhibits. The food was actually priced reasonably and good as well. It was a nice family friendly atmosphere to experience a jazz event. Particularly as most Chicago jazz venues appear to be 21+.

It's a large beautiful (I would like to say historic) venue that has a large dance floor, plenty of seating, huge bar, stage where Live Music or DJ can perform, private dressing room with a small bathroom, and a full-size commercial kitchen to rent if you want to provide food or bring in a caterer. There is a parking lot in the back, as well as across the street, and street parking. The owner has security patrolling the parking lots the entire night. Our guests have never had a problem. They only provide rental space, bartenders, and a few servers/waitresses, you have to provide/hire your own vendors (caterers, DJ, decorations, etc.). In being an Event Planner for the past 30+ years from Corporate to Community events, as with all Service-based businesses, you're going to always have a rotating door when it comes to customer service. It's part of the game. It's hard to find good help these days. My personal experience, as well as my experience in attending other events hosted there, has always been great. I know other event promoters who have also been hosting their events here for awhile, so if it was that bad, we wouldn't still be here. The owner does an excellent job in doing his best to stay on top of it. So when you read other poor reviews, create your own opinion based on your own experience like we did. Otherwise you just might miss out on a GREAT experience!

The theater is a decent size especially considering it's in the Chicago Ridge Mall, they even had a bar in the theater which is a nice touch, concessions, and even had a lot of mini claw machines. It was really cool that AMC even had merch of their own and even from various movies as well. Movie Experience: The movie was showing in screen/theater 2 and the layout of the theater was nice. The movie in my opinion was really good and they even had a post-credit scene with both Daniel LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the theater walls at least in screen/theater 2 are thin as I was hearing muffled audio from the theater next door. I'm wondering how this can be resolved. Maybe sound proofing each theater to truly get the full movie theater experience? Just my thoughts on this. Claw Machines: The claw machines are $1 per play. The claw machines don't accept bills or card, so you have to go to this machine that gives you tokens. My boyfriend spent $5 in tokens and unfortunately I didn't win anything even though some of the prizes looked gettable. Overall Experience: Overall, I had great experiences at the AMC theater in the Chicago Ridge mall. The theater was clean, easy to navigate, & the bathrooms were clean. Definitely need to go back soon and hopefully I can win me some cute plushies from their mini claw machines. Parking is $25 per car, but you can also access for free via bicycle (they have a bike valet), walk if you live close by or by rideshare (they have a rideshare lot for easy drop off/pick up. I'm not sure why people say it is unsafe; there are more than enough police that pat down at the entrance (just like at almost every other concert venue and sporting event does) and a big police presence throughout the festival. We reserved a time on a Friday in the Tasting room, in June, Pride month. We arrived just about on time, to a few parties not a mob. The front room had a lively group, but we were shown to the back. We passed a couple of 'private' rooms surrounded by curtains with a party present there. Sounds like a fun place to hang out when you have a small group and want privacy. We were taken to the back, which was empty, and seated. The seating is tricky back there, with a cushioned bench against the wall, and vinyl chairs to sit in. It is comfortable but reaching the odd, low to the ground tables was awkward for my party. the wait was longish as maybe there was only 1 waitress available, but we were given water and a menu. There is a separate bar back there but we had to order wine through the waitress. There was some..interesting music playing rather loudly. Lots of hip/hop and rap, which I am fine with most of the time. I KNOW it was a Friday night but this is supposed to be a wine bar, not a nightclub. Finally we ordered a flight each, me for house wines, my party for premium, and 2 dips. We wanted to avoid too much dairy. I was ok with my wine, but a flight usu is 4 of something, not just 3, see my pic. The waitress was patient, professional and informative. The dips were delicious, and then we ordered charcuterie. I'd love to try the 'fatbreads' but we were doing low-carb that night! We ordered a full glass of one of the wines we tasted. At the end, the bill was $151! for the 2 of us! Yikes! I have been to wine clubs such as Cooper's Hawk where I would have had to get a 90 Minute Tasting and dinner to spend that much! The bathroom was nicely decorated and clean, and there are 2, all-gender, one at a time deals. I did not ask them to turn the music down as I don't want the staff to think I am 80 years old! I would go back to try the Fatbread and a glass of wine; the old pics on the wall and decorations are nice, but the prices are kind of high, and the music/atmosphere is too clubby.
