Overall, we have had our skates sharpened here a few times and everything was done correctly. The staff here are not as knowledgeable or experienced as Perani's, especially for goalie equipment. If you have a difficult case or unusual circumstance, I would definitely head to Perani's first. Pure Hockey has a great rewards program and is a chain in the midwest. If you go to tournaments in IL, MN or MI then staying loyal to Pure Hockey might be a good choice.

I have been inside numerous sporting goods stores all of my life. I've been to ones that are good,…read moreand those that are bad. I decided to check out this Dunham's location to see what kind of bowling equipment they might have. Upon entering the store, you feel sort of overwhelmed and that feeling doesn't go away anytime soon. It's like there was no thought to the layout of the interior and it's merchandise. I really think they crammed way too much stock into the floor space they had available when the store was built. I asked one of the store workers where the bowling equipment was at, and he told me it's over by the fishing gear. So after looking around the store for 15 minutes, I asked another worker where the bowling section was, and she told me that they don't carry bowling equipment in their store, but if I wanted to checkout the Web site, I could find what I wanted online. Apparently, the workers have no idea what they have inside their own store when it comes to merchandise. Now if your looking for a great deal on University of Michigan swag and shirts they have it. Sadly, there's a small Michigan State athletic wear section just behind it. In all honesty the prices aren't bad at all. With that being said, they had only one cashier on duty, and several people standing in line. Customer service is clearly a low priority at this store location.
