Aside from being expensive, you'd figure the service would be off the hook, but that's not the case. We spend $60 in some cookies and drinks, a snack basically. The place is nice, they have a great variety of products. There was a guy, who seemed to work there as he was behind the counter, he was talking to another guy, but he said nothing to us. Finally a girl said "I'll be right with you." I am not sure, but I have always thought the customer comes first. In the end, she did not offer to warm up our croissants, and the service was just poor.

This is an upscale specialty grocery shop. They have some unique items, all high quality. Perfect place if you want to pick up some items to make a high quality meal (mostly Italian) at home. Would also be a perfect place to shop for a gourmet gift basket as they have all the items ready to go. They also sell the Perenn Bakery bread there and some non food items such as kitchenware and apparel. A lot of fun and worth visiting. I picked up pink sea salt, Brie cheese, French baguette and a chocolate croissant.

7/12/2024- Stopped by the bakery, and this was my next destination.. You'll always find me in a grocery store... Cute and well stocked with many unique brands.. My hands were tied with a phone (on the phone with my son).. and my bakery goodies.. Picked up an energy bar, some corn tortilla chips and Perenn Salsa! If I had more time, I would have used a hand cart.. lol.. I think the Masa ancient Crunch tortilla chips were really good and love the crunchy corn flavor.. also the most expensive bag of chips I've ever paid for.. Salsa is great! Fresh and minimum ingredients.. pairs very nicely with the chips.. I had to make fresh guac when I got home!.. Protein bar was good as well. Definitely coming back !

Absolutely obsessed with this new shop at Rancharrah!!! Perenn Grocery has so many items from their bakery shop next door, such as pre packaged cookies and breads! There is a refrigerated section that sells a lot of ready to bake or cook items, such as their croissants! Additionally, there are other local items and boutique-like items for sale as well. One thing to remember is that this is a local shop, with boutique and specialized items, so prices may be higher than what customers may be expecting. Can't wait to see what other items they fill the shop with!

The Perenn Grocery store is so underrated! Great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was at the main Perenn location where I ordered a chocolate croissant & I was hoping to order an iced matcha because the last time I was here I had a delicious blue jasmine matcha. Unfortunately they are not serving the blue jasmine matcha anymore & they were out of matcha but they referred me next door to the grocery store where I was able to not only buy some single origin matcha powder from Japan, but they have the same drink menu and had matcha! The matcha latte at Perenn is honestly the best I've ever had at a coffee shop or cafe. I wish they still had the blue jasmine matcha though, I can't stop dreaming about it!!

We went to pick up some crispy chili oil and rye bread, but ended up ordering a coffee--and we loved it! The service was quick, and the ambiance was delightful. We'll definitely be back for more bread and coffee.

Happy to welcome this new grocery to the Rancharrah community. The grocery is beautiful and I didn't think I'd say that about a grocery store. Perenn was quite detail oriented when creating this shop. The bread loaves are the first thing you see when you enter with several different varieties. I plan to return for the seeded loaf when I host next. The espresso machine is quite elegant and custom painted. The take-and-bake, as well as, the prepared meals are a nice option for families. The florals are a bit pricey, but that is to be expected with the quality provided by Sierra Water Garden. I would say the same does go for the rest of the products here. Pricing will be high to match the higher end, local, and natural products. Looking forward to an occasional splurge here.

Finally had the chance to check this store out- and my instant first impression was "it's giving mini erewhon". Perenn always kills it with little details- my favorite being the espresso machine. But overall the store was cute and compact, very clean, and well organized. In terms of stock, they sell a multitude of items aside from simple groceries; such as- bake sets, bath soaks, an edible flower seed kit, and baby onesies. Price wise is definitely on the higher end if one were to compare it to an average grocery store. 1 pound of earl grey cookie dough, a jar of almond butter, and a pack of chocolate bouchons will total around $60, but the quality is there. I especially liked that you're able to order coffee and pastries from inside the store as well. With a "to-go" like vibe, you can easily grab a treat for the drive home as you check out your groceries. All in all, I'm pretty excited to return!

I think I need to update my review from 14 years ago!!!!…read more I stand by my original post: How wonderful to have a real grocery store that specializes in local and organic products. Much of the produce is locally grown, or locally adjacent (AKA California) OK, Bananas do not grow in the Great Basin. The origin of the produce is identified. They work with local farmers, bakeries, and other local businesses for the food and non-food items. They no longer have the upstairs restaurant but they do have a kitchen and make ready to go items. I love picking up a fresh salad (some with meat some purely vegan/vegetarian) , a yummy very generously filled wrap, house made cookies and other delectable treats. They have a large selection of locally produced meats. Lots of organic canned goods, dairy and non-dairy items . . . the list goes on. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Memberships are available (20$/year) with a once a month 10% off of your total purchase. You do NOT need a membership to shop here. Most of the checkout lanes were blocked off, a long with the bread area. I grabbed it myself, and frustrated flipped them off. (My freedom) Alma approached me and said I was disrespectful and refused me service. What!? Anyway I started to defend myself, and was met with complete disrespect. Some may say I deserve it for being frustrated, but I still have rights...wonder where those went? I found myself out and about with just my son and and we both thought a char grilled kebab sounded like a fun dinner experiment. We popped in and found who were guessing is the owner's child at the register and placed our order for their signature kebab made from ground chicken and Afghani spices. The plate came with sumac spiked basmati rice, two pieces of the chicken kebab and a small green salad plus a green hot sauce. The kebab was tender and juicy with a great flavor profile and a nice bit of charcoal flavor. We thought the rice was actually exceptional light and fluffy with a hint of that citrus sea tang from the sumac, in a buttery finish, made this a nice light side to the kebab. The salad was fresh and crunchy with cucumber, lettuce, and bell peppers and that green hot sauce was really great and we used it as a dressing because the salad did not come with one. For $16 I just felt like the value was a bit often the plate needed at least one more piece of the kebab because when finished with a small tiny salad and the kebab, we were left with a mountain of rice and that is south wasteful. I just wish the plates here were a bit more valued oriented and I guess it will take more people eating here to kind of drive that up. Highly recommend giving it a try plus the market has some really fun fines too. Share your review and let me know what you think.
