These folks have a local monopoly so if you're out of town and you have tire issues on a weekend, be ready to bend over. Most places are closed- don't even think mammoth because that place is worse as far as options go. Had a tire leak and they tried to get me to buy an new tiire- fortunately went to another local place (only place open) and they fixed it. Beware. Get your tires checked before heading out of a populated city or be ready to open up your wallet. If you have mechanical problems in a weekend that's even worse. read more

I used to go here a lot. Nice people and fast but I'm not going back anymore. Everytime I go in to get tires installed they quote a different price. And when you go to pay them, they give you your old tires back and quote you a price for disposal which you thought was in the original estimate. Last time $5 per tire, this time , $10 per tire. Last time I was in I lost my hub cap the next day. I told them today and they told me it was the hubcaps fault. Cost me more for a new hubcap than the wheels they installed. No I'm not going back anymore. What tire place quotes you a cost to change your tires and then gives you your tires back as you leave trying to get an additional disposal fee. All tires had recent manufacture date and they were for my RV bumper pull - often not in stock in major national tire companies. Totally recommend. Ran over a chain link of a chain tensioner on the way to bishop today. Was at the dmv when we realized our tire was going flat. Was running late past closing time and the nice man (I think Ivan) said to come on over he'd stay until 5:15 until we could get there to look at the tire. He pulled the tire off and it couldn't be fixed with a plug so luckily he had a used tire that fit our truck so we could get home to Mammoth. These guys saved the day, cause if they couldn't help us we definitely would've been stuck in Bishop until morning with our two dogs. We were back on the road to home within 15 minutes. Quick to serve. No frills but all you want is quality, honest and quick service! Came in to get tire checked/fixed on our way back from our family trip at June Lake. We came to Bishop during lunch. Honda dealer was busy. They told us of another tire store. The other tire store at the turn was Simpson. They were also busy because of lunch. Older gentleman at Simpson said check with Perez Quality Tires and come back if they could not help. Perez Quality Tires was not busy and took us immediately! What a God-send this tire store was for us!! After driving about 10-15 minutes out from Mammoth Lakes, we get a tire blowout on highway 395 going at 70 mph! Upon inspecting a completely shredded tire, all my husband and I could think was: WHERE in the world are we gonna find a replacement tire??? Our vehicle happens to be a Volvo Polestar w/ very particular aka super speshul tires that cost about $700 a piece. Luckily, there is Perez Tires in Bishop!! And they are open til 3:00 pm on Sundays! And lo and behold, they had a tire that matched the specs of what we needed which was sufficient enough to get us home back to OC! The guys at the garage worked quickly and efficiently. We came in from out of town and our brakes gave out. We tried to call Mr. Kay's because of the reviews and they told us they were two weeks out. So we checked out presents tires and Alex was great. He gave us a choice to fix it now that we could drive home and get it fixed there. We decided to fix it now and he found the parts and fixed it within two hours. Price was reasonable as well. We were traveling back from a trip to Utah through NV highway 6 and 50 originally starting from the San Fernando Valley with our truck camper towing our motorcycle on a motorcycle trailer, when we had a blow out on the trailer in Bishop. After getting assistance from AAA and a long tiring ordeal in the parking lot by Big 5 and Auto Zone dealing with the unexpected emergency, Perez's Tires was recommended by AAA and many others and business to further repair it. After bringing them the blown out tire and rim, Alex reassured us that it could be repaired and quickly too. We stayed at a nearby Inn in Bishop while repaired and they not only did they repair it quickly, put it on for us, did the other trailer tire, and a spare, but efficiently very professionally, friendly, and with a reasonable rate too. We now can get home safely. Highly recommend this tire place to anyone and distressed travelers like us as well. Okay let's start with how I started using perez quality tires and why. I'm a disabled veteran constantly at home while my girlfriend is out driving and working. She got a flat and went to perez and they replaced the tire 1 month ago for $120 okay cool and they quoted me for another 3 but was only interested in just 1 for a week while I wait for my payday. Last week we replace all 4 and the quote changed they now needed a receipt from the last job. Took my brand new tire replaced all 4 and charged my girlfriend for 4 new tires despite buying a new one 1 month before. Didn't even offer for me to keep my new tire for a spare. They stole a $120 tire from me. And proceeded to work me for 4 more. I'm going to better business bureau and more. I feel like you guys did both me and my poor girlfriend wrong and dirty. Not a honest business. The owner Ivan charged me $ 80.00 to patch a tire, the patch didn't last 1 hour. I took the car to Simpsons tires down the street & they advised Perez tires shaved my tire too thin when they patched it up. Making the tire unfixable. Had i went to Simpsons tires from the start, i could of saved my tire & a lot of wasted time. Not only did i spend $80.00 on a simple patch job, i spend another $ 450.00 on a tire, which Perez tires destroyed with their poor work. Cannot recommend this family business highly enough. I needed two pretty non standard tires in a pinch, and this was the only place in the Eastern Sierras that had them. Encountered a tire issue in Mammoth the day before I was heading home and tried all of the local places. Chevron was too busy, JR was nonexistent and the tire guy from Goodyear was "down south". Tried the other shops in Bishop with a little luck, but once I got in touch with Perez I knew it would get squared away. Giovanni gave me a decent price on tires that they had in stock, gave me advice on limping the truck down from Mammoth, and told me if I got there when they opened they would have me on the road in 30 minutes. My husband and I got a flat in a remote part of the Death Valley with no cell service. After a day of being stranded we got picked up by a ranger and dropped off in Big Pine to spend the night. The next day we found out that a) no car rental places were open, b) AAA would not tow us because they will not drive on dirt roads, and c) no taxi services were available. We called around and found Perez Quality Tires was open on New Years Eve. The owner of the motel in Big Pine was able to find someone to help us head out and pull our car tire and drive us over to Perez's. Not only did they quickly help us get a replacement tire and new spare tire set up, they gave it to us at a low low price. They were also courteous and helpful. We were pleased to find out this is a family business and the son is carrying on the knowledge of his father. Turns out Perez offers towing service across a wide range of the eastern Sierra - a great service to backcountry travelers like us - wish we had known about this before meeting these guys. If we ever have tire damage in this part of the state in the future, we will definitely find our way to Perez. read more

This is a very small tire place in Bishop,CA which is off the main road. The owner is a nice guy who walks with a cane. I found this place because I had a flat tire in Lone Pine, CA on the way to Mammoth Mountain on a Sunday afternoon around lunchtime. I called every single tire place/ auto shop in Lone Pine and Bishop and they were all closed. The place I called in Lone Pine told me it would be $120 to come look and probably $200 to replace the tire. They said I should just get a room in Lone Pine and wait till Monday when they would be open. NO WAY! So I called AAA and the guy said that I could try Perez Tires in BIshop and that they are open on weekends. I called him up and he said he was closing around 2pm but would wait around for me to get there from Lone Pine even after closing. I got to his shop and he literally fixed the tire in 5 minutes and charged me $20. I gave him a big tip for waiting for me after closing and being so fair with his pricing. He could have charged me $100 and I would have had to pay it or be stuck in the middle of nowhere. The shop is super small and modest but I give this guy 5 stars for just being open on a weekend and helping us out and being honest and fair! I have no idea what his regular tires are like so YMMV. read more

Decided to take our 2 year old to Mammoth for some outdoor summer fun. Our trip from LA started off great until we hit Lancaster and blew a tire on our trailer. A quick AAA call, a one in a million chance run in with a sweet old man with a couple spare tires, and about an hour on the side of the road and we were back in business. After a fun weekend of off reading and exploring, we decided to get our remaining 3 tires changed up in Mammoth to avoid anymore problems on the way home. Well, sometimes all the cards don't fall in your favor. About 10 miles past Big Pine (why does this town even exist!?) we lost a chunk of tread off a tire. Big Pine has no mechanics, no tire shops and pretty much no real reason for existing. Ended up having to backtrack to Bishop and found Perez Tires on Yelp. Called them up to let them know we were coming and talked to a really nice guy on the phone. Showed up 15 minutes later and they got right to work. Changed 2 tires and replaced the spare in about 15-20 minutes for a really reasonable price. We HIGHLY recommend this shop if you're in or around the Bishop area. Great work and amazing customer service. Definitely deserve the 5 stars! read more
