Go here if you like your eyebrows to be different sizes. I expressed to the lady I wanted a clean up. I left with new brows. I'm walking around looking like The Roc's sister when my face is rested. One brow is higher than the other, one is thicker and I have little bumps. Then after I expressed my dislike she asked did I want to leave her a tip. Here's your tip- listen to your customers. Well, my eyebrows were nice but my lashes looked stupid -- she got a bunch of glue in my eye but the three stars are for her personality -- I guess if someone is going to blind you: at least I would like it to be someone who was nice enough to say 'I am sorry' -- there are a bunch of places in the area that do the same thing for way cheaper but the environment of this establishment is A+ so I guess all in all, you are paying for the environment and the pretty lights -- not the service -- they don't do anything special and they talk the entire time -- on every occasion that I have gone here, they've talked the entire thirty minutes I've been in the chair. Personally, I don't like when people stop and talk while waxing or threading my brows or putting glue near my eyes. I just don't understand Why that can't wait. read more

I been using this location for over a year now and never disappointed. My girl (the one in a the middle) rocks! My waxing is always on point along with my eyebrows. She was able to understand from the begging how I like my eyebrows and 4/5 times is always perfect. I went to another location and the Gods punish me with an awfull eyebrow thread and a poor waxing. Only place I come to for my brows! I go to the woman in the middle with the light eyes (unfortunately I always forget to ask her name). Got a Brazilian for the first time today and that's the only reason it's getting 4 stars. Not the cleanest of places. But it gets the job done. I usually go downtown & it's only $5 more. Let's just say I will definitely take the travel for those extra $5. I wanted the younger female that I usually see service when people come in for waxes. I got a newer lady instead and she was so rough. Then she had me laying on the bed, legs open so she could write a text They don't double dip. But they kept the same towel on the bed & just put the paper over. I had to ask her to change it. My go to spot in the Bronx. It's near the university and Fordham shopping area. Simi does my eye brows and she's pretty much the best. She always has a line for a reason! I have tried the others if she's not in and they're all good but I would definitely see Similar over others. She is super sweet and always pleasant. My brows have ver looked better. read more

I have been a returning client to Simi for several years. She helped me grow my brows from pencil thin to super huge and fluffy the way they should naturally be, she also does all my facials and body services. I would give 5 stars due to her amazing service however, the location has no heat! It is winter and we just got hit with a "blizzard." The last few times I went for my services all the ladies are working with their coats and hats on, all the wax pots were still solid from the cold and the back service rooms were FREEZING! I too am in the service industry and that to me is COMPLETELY unacceptable! There is no way I can work in those conditions. Space heaters need to be provided not only for the women working here but the customers as well- no one wants body services in a room where it's too cold to take your clothes off in. read more

I got a Brazilian and full legs wax. My wax technician was Shafaq (she is the youngest person in the establishment) she did an amazing job. She makes you feel comfortable, almost as if a friend is waxing you. She is also very precise and tries to take away all the in growns hairs, and talks to you to keep your mind away from the pain. It barely hurt. She very professional, hygenic, wears gloves, does Not double dip, extremely friendly. And the best part she did a great waxing job!! If you come here ask for her. She told me she does Hanna Tattos as well. Next time I come I will try it an let you know how it goes. read more

They burned my upper lip with wax that was too hot, and threaded my eyebrows too thin. Won't be going back there ever.

The woman didn't listen to my suggestions and request. She actually did what I told her not to do. Not going back.

If I could give it a negative number I would. The Henna that they used for my daughter hand burnt her so bad that she had to go to the doctor. When we went to the store to show her hand the nasty manger there was arguing that its not her problem. Well if you are using old/acid using/henna and you burn a client yes it is your problem. They do the eye brows threading great but I don't know what is wrong when they use wax. I've tried different girls and wax types at the Fordham location and they always end up burning & Marking my upper lip & eye brows with the wax. TERRIBLE! and the worst part, is that they don't do nothing about it. I'm no longer going to go there, staying with one I found in 23rd street in downtown NY, They do a terrific job and NEVER BURN Me with wax! Sorry, but I gave them plenty of chances... Horrible customer service. I recently moved to the area, had previously been going to a different perfect brows on the UES. I had my eyebrows done, I had to ask the stylist to go back twice to make my eyebrows even remotely even. Then when I went to pay I showed them the card I had been previously using and this next one was supposed to be free. The cashier stared at it as if it was fake for about 2 min and then said she wouldn't honor it and I would have to go back to the UES shop to get "credit" for those previous stamps. I've been living in the city a loooong time, I've never had to do this. I asked her where it says it has to all be at the same establishment when they all have the same name (it's a chain), she started getting antsy and said she didn't like my questions and wasn't giving me credit. She looked and talked to me like I was a hood rat meanwhile I'm a professional person just trying to get what I'm owed. I explained that I recently moved and that it doesn't say that anywhere, she then proceeded to give me a new card and transferred the stamps BUT wouldn't give me the free eyebrows that she acknowledged I earned. So she wanted to take the old cards so I couldn't use those either. I paid for it, kept my old cards, but will never be coming back to this establishment. They did a mediocre job at best and have SHADY business practices and possibly racist. Take your business elsewhere. read more

i went on saturday for henna on my hand, and this lady absolutely did a horrible job. she messed up the design so bad, it was not lined up correctly nor did it look professional. if you don't have the skills do not fell free to do such on a person ! i do not recommend the henna ! read more
