If I can give them no stars. Or negative stars I would. First anyone who gave this place 5 stars don't trust it. I feel like they tell their clients to do that for free or discount services. I will be honest I normally get Brazilian done and this was the worse experience. First it seems like they use the same wax even though they have different options. The lady didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. Didn't direct me in anyway. I feel like the wax they used was garbage. 1. There was still Hair left 2. Ripped the skin close to my labia. I'm left raw and irritated. 3. Area super swollen When I went to European wax. That lady got in there make sure everything was off made me feel really comfortable and I wasnt irritated at all. Sometimes we wanna save money but I definitely got was I paid for a very bad job. Do yourself and favor and go to professional and definitely not here. I got free eyebrows done but it wasn't worth the job that i really need was done sloppy. At least she didn't fuck up my eyebrows. She also didn't like the fact I used a groupon. I've come here for like 7 years since I've moved into the area for eyebrow threading services. They have a prepaid card you can buy for $20 which gives you 5 eyebrow threading sessions so each session comes to $4 and then I tip 50%. Very clean, friendly staff. Never disappointed when I come here and I've been to my fair share of eyebrow salons. Some salons do not show you respect or engage with you but the ladies here talk to you and make you feel so comfortable. I usually tell them to keep my brows thick and have a small arch and they always listen. Always looks better after I get it done because I can't do my own brows to save my life... (they can tell too bc they ask whether I touched up in between.. lol) Recommended for hair removal service!! Especially threading - I've had my upper lip threaded as well but it's too painful for me! Recently discovered this lovely local spot for threading. I found my stylist to be very precise, and she did not rush my service at all. I came off hours (i.e. not evenings or weekends) and was seen after about a 5 minute wait. An eyebrow + upper lip threading is only $10 together, and you can buy a discounted multi-pack of the eyebrow threading which is 5 for $20. The discount pack also stacks with the loyalty card, and I believe every 10 eyebrow threading you get one free! They also take credit card without any added convenience fee, which is nice. read more

Best affordable hair and waxing/threading salon in the entire city, to my mind. I took my mother here for both a haircut and a facial waxing. She has been to a lot of different salons in the area over the years and this was far and away the best haircut she's ever had! Sorry if I am getting the name wrong but Morina is an artist of a stylist, wow! She is meticulous about layering and she really framed my mom's face beautifully. I took her to the theater the other day and was shocked by how chic the hair style was and how much younger she looked! I am so grateful for the price point as my mother is on a fixed income and has a lot of medical expenses. I would have given this woman a five star review if the haircut was five times the price (though we couldn't afford it) but that's how talented this stylist is. After the haircut, my mom had her upper lip and chin waxed (with a little threading). I didn't get the name of the lovely woman who did it but she was very gentle given the task at hand and very detail oriented. The price was very low as well. I tipped both women handsomely for the jobs beautifully done! I had plenty of time to observe the waxing and threading work they did on other people who came in when my mom was getting her hair cut and was particularly delighted to see that they do great eyebrow shaping at this salon. Been coming here every two weeks last 10 months. Usually no issues, usually come in during the week mid-day. Don't expect too much as I just need a quick brow thread, a basic clean. In n out, and almost always satisfied. Today I walk in, two women working. Neither of them actually with clients or "working" when I tell you I walked in and one of them ran to the bathroom or kitchen, and the other stayed on her phone conversation. Will start by saying that staff is nice. I messaged them last minute and they were able to accommodate me for a same day appointment and when I got there waited like 10min, not bad. I requested hard wax and she told me it was 40+tax which is fine with me. But, so far worst Brazilian I've had. After having left I realized I had lots of wax bits left which were sticking to my clothes and I also later realized that I still had patches of hair left everywhere specially on my behind. My experience was here was merely average. Annie was nice, made conversation, and she got the job done. I wouldn't say that this was the best waxing experience that I had (as there were still some number of hairs remaining after the wax), but I think it's certainly worth it for the price. First time visitors get 20% off, which I decided to make use of when I got there. When I went out to pay though, Annie gave me the total price without the first time discount. When I asked for it, she said, "I thought you said you came here before?" I had said nothing of the sort. In fact, when I called to make my appointment two days before, I specifically asked to make sure there was a 20% discount. But other than that, I would say my experience here was decent, and I'll be coming back. They even gave me name cards with discounts on other things. The lady scheduled before noon on 8/1 needs to get reviewed for her attitude. She asked me to sit a certain way and I pointed to the head rest and told her the head rest is hurting me so I put my hair there as a cushion. She proceeded to say that I could try another chair but they are all the same. Then she asked me to move my hair that was giving me cushion from the painful headrest. I told her again I was in pain. I'm not sure how many times a client has to say they are in PAIN for it to register. She then adjusted the seat and when I was holding my eyebrows, flicked my arm and said "move this." Then I spoke to her after the service was over and told her that was the wrong way to address a client telling her they are in pain. She said that the way the chair is works for her. Terrible nasty attitude. I've always gone to my lady at Looks on 57th ave. I didn't want to take the walk to Looks and what a mistake that was. The salon is disgusting as well. read more
